[Q] Video playback problem on tmobile HD2 - HD2 General

Hi,
My HD2 tmobile was having digitizer problem so i got a replacement from tomobile.
Now in the new one when i play a video say transformers that came with the HD2 from sd after few min. the movie gets stuck for 4-5 sec. and the HD2 resets.
I've tried copying a music video that use to work fine from from SD in my previous HD2 but in the new HD2 it runs a little slow very slight but obvious stutter and then gets stuck, sometimes the pic. gets stuck and hd2 becomes unresponsive, but audio keeping running in the background and i have to take the batt. out to reset.
Please tell me how i can trouble shoot or should i call tmobile again?
Also if i want to format the sd card for hd2 what should be the sector size if i am doing it using microSD to SD converter?
please let me know guys.
Thanks.

[Q] video capture problem

hello, anybody tried to capture video on mpeg4 format for more than 10 minutes?
I have a 4gb class 6 microsd card, and I have been to a concert, and captured about 30 minutes of it, but as I downloaded the file to my computer I had this unpleasant surprise to find out that after about 8 minutes and 20 seconds only the video goes on without audio from the rest of it . please if you had this issue and solved it somehow, I am awaiting for advices, maybe a new program to capture with ? I was untill now very satisfied with this phone even that I had it already repaired (digitizer problem, newton rings or something like that, was changed in warranty), but I would like to solve this problem. Also I'm not sure I'm ready to change the ROM due to I have it under warranty.... thanks
strange.. just watched the movie clip on the phone and it has sound all the way to the end.. I must have some broken codecs maybe on my pc or something....
I see if I can deal with it I'll post a quick reply. thanx and sorry for nothing
Hi blacksto,
I dont know if this might help, but I faced this issue, when i had an HTC Touch GSM. In Touch when we record a movie clip & transfer the same onto PC there was no audio, surprisingly the clip worked just fine with audio on the device. You might want to check the ELFIN Forum to check if someone has faced this issue & has found a solution. I think when the file gets transfered to the PC via activesync, the audio part is either scraped or not transfered.
My Touch was stolen & I bought a Touch2. I have recored upto 5 mins of video & transfered it to my pc the clip is fine. I will try to run more longer clip & keep you updated on the outcome.
But it is my guess that this has nothing to do with either the ROM or the device. There may a middleware which converts the raw video feed into mpeg format, when it does it keeps the audio & video tracks apart (i dont know why). When we transfer the same onto some other machine only the video part gets transfered.
Did you download the file using ActiveSync?`Could be some sort of converting error...
I don't remember but now I will try to copy it using mass storage, be back with more info.. sorry for late response, I have been busy lately

[Q] sloow, laggy hd2 after hard reset

hi guys im new to this forum and new to hd2 / windows mobile. i used to have a g1 running andrioid. my hd2 is tmobile usa
background: i bought my hd2 used off craigslist, i did a hard reset on the phone, and formated the micro sd card.
my problem: the hd2 runs perfectly fine, until i put pictures from my pc into my phone. when i go to view pics in the hd2, some of the pics dont come out and it sends me to an error report listing for manila.exe . after i tried to view pictures my hd2 gets extremely slooow, that i cant even reboot it, i have to take out the battery and hook the hd2 back to my pc and delete the picture and then its fine again. fyi, i can add music to my hd2 perfectly fine without it getting laggy like the pictures.
again, im new to this, is there like a file im missing to have my hd2 running properly?
How many pictures are you trying to sync? It may just be that you are putting a boatload of them on there, in which case WinMo has to cache all those files before it can display them properly. My advice would be to sync all your stuff, then let your device sit there idle for a few minutes before attempting to use it and see if that helps. If it doesn't, then I would recomend trying a different ROM.
ok i guess im gonna have to try a differ rom. the one i have is stock rom

black screen problem in 2.2

Hello friends,
I have been facing black screen problem everytime in 2.2. İt always happern when I watch video or picture from sd card. Whwn I set the phone to sleep and open it, always black screen comes, something writes and phone closes.
I am using standart sd card and it is 2gb.
Can you help me about this problem?
hey, same problem, also using standard 2gb sd card.
try it for a day without your sd card in, worked for me, but i need sd card for music, pics everything so im going back to 2.1 til this is sorted,
greast rom, but need my phone working 24/7 and dont need to check it constantly to see if its hanged or frozen or the usual line of code,
but still great rom
I think it occurs from sd card, it happens whwnever I reach to sd card. I wonder why everybody does not live the same problem?
will it be useful if I format the sd card or get a better(class 6) sd card?
i think there has to be a common factor between it, obviously isnt software because there would be more ppl with errors and such.
ok my sd card were/are used in the following devices :-
xbox 360 as portable device to play mp3's through a cheapo usb card reader
win7 lappy through phone usb
similar stuff or ?
if ur still on 2.2 have you tried turning off debug mode when your using phone normally, might have an effect?
and does it also constantly remount when you unlock your phone?
sorry for the lots of questions but im interested now, this is the only thing stopping me from keeping 2.2, had 2.1 back all day and no issues, happy phone again
ı changed sd card and formatted but again crashes when phone unlocked.
any help please?
the black screen is known as screen of death (sod), try changing the kernel verson, or the radio, it is not a sd problem, i have done it and it is working fine on mine

[Q] Please help!! HTC HD2 screen freezes and android process stopped working

hey! please help.
I'm experiencing my screen freezes on me and will not work even I waited or press on the keys. Sometimes it will suddenly turn black screen, it will also not budge, I can press on the keys and it will light up but still no go. This happens everytime and all i can do is remove the battery and turn it back on to make it work but after passing the CyanogenMod screen, it will hang and do the freezing again. Sometimes it will pass that and get me to my home screen but after a few secs it will do it again. Please help! I cant do anything on my phone anymore!
I have installed NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1_V2.2 before this happened and I've tried to partition my sd and reinstall the same os but this happens again so what i did is change and install NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1_V2.6 but still the same thing happen. After the install of every os that i've tried, it will go through the setup process and stay good for 30mins or so but after that the problem occurs and it will not stop. Now my phone is constantly freezing and stays in black and can't use it anymore. I'm running MAGLDR V.1.13 and NativeSD..
Every help and post will be greatly appreciated..
By the way, im a noob. and I've chacked a lot of thread but nothing helped so here..
thanks in advance!!
This may not be correct, but make sure you are using a Class 10 Card as if it is a slow card, it may not function on NativeSD, try a different installation, like DataOnExt, and see if it works.

I'm actually using an 8GB Imation HC Class 4 card.. would it matter? i'm not very familiar with the difference of the cards.. And by the way, I usually get the messages like "Trebuchet not responding" and "Procces system not responding". Please help.
I will try to go through the DataOnExt though. Thanks!!
That may well be the problem, I read somewhere when you use a lower Class + not well known brand SD Card, you face problems. Do you face laggy menus? Oh and that card should work fine on DataOnExt. I've tried it several times on a crappy 2GB fake Sandisk Micro SD from eBay and it worked flawlessly

lost my file..

hey everyone. i just got back from vacation and when i was looking at all my 4K shooted vids one suddenly dissapeared. i saved all my pictures and vids on my sd card (a 32 gb one from sandisk). this is what happened:
i wanted to send a bit from the vid to my friends by whatsapp. halfway sending the vid whatsapp suddenly said that there was no data file anymore. so i checked my gallery to see if the vid is still there. i first saw the thumbnail of it still in my gallery and after a restart of the gallery the thumbnail of it also dissapeared. also there were 47 instead of 48 vids.
if anyone does know how to help me getting this vid back that would be great. it was in 4K and i filmded fireworks. i was pretty proud of my best work i ever made. im feeling really bad that this vid is gone.......

Sounds like your card may be corrupted. I had a similar issue when I had a Sandisk 64GB SD Card on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I had recorded a video on the phone external memory and then the card locked up. It would not allow me to delete, format or write any data off the card. Well, it did look like the card had formatted but as soon as you put the card in another device, all the data was back on there. It was essentially useless. Even an SD Card repair tool didn't work. I had to buy a new card. Previously to that, I had a similar situation on an older phone with a 32GB SD Card. Coincidentally, that card was a Sandisk also. I was always led to believe that Sandisk memory cards were the best but after 2 bad experiences, I don't go near Sandisk anymore. My replacement card was a Samsung 64GB SD Card and I am still using this card on my Moto X Style. Been using it for about 3 years now with no issues. The Sandisk didn't even last a year. You can try a recovery programme. I did, but didn't have much luck recovering some data I needed and had to give up. It was weird though as I did recover some data that I never seemed to remember having on the card before. I'm not sure where it come from.
Anyway, I hope you manage to recover your data. Just thought I would share my experience.
Thanks,
Ooms
