Now that it's out, can anyone confirm that this uses Gorilla Glass? Not being able to put a screen protector on this thing out of the box worries me >_<

There was a post on here at some point from someone needing a new glass screen for their HD.
Since I'm not sure if it's against the rules, I won't put a link on this forum but I will say it was on ebay.
There was a glass screen replacement and some other brand new replacement hard parts.
Anyway, hope that helps.

I have a Galaxy S II (Retail version direct from Samsung*). Some of your lot on here have been messaging me on YouTube where I have been shamelessly spamming videos at people's request. I figured I should ask you lot of there was anything you wanted to know / I could do to help out as this is a site I always enjoy coming here and it's an is extremely helpful place!

I don't have any technical specs other than that it's definitely Gorilla Glass. It doesn't like my fingerprints though, that's for sure!

Yes there are some fingerprints on there but not loads and loads. I don't think it's too different from other phones currently on the market, definitely not 100% oleophobic.

I have an s4 and need a case. Seidio Obex would be nice because its waterproof but what about the screen? I wonder when the screen gets scratched up will I have to live with it or buy a whole new case? I also wonder it's impact protection.

I just received my new lifeproof case today. Bought the nuud version which don't have a screen protector. But you could buy the fre version which has the screen cover. I also bought the water protection for extra 10 bucks and warranties your phone from water damage.

Short answer is yes, in all regions if your phone is genuine and not fake you DO HAVE Gorilla Glass 3.
Does that guarantee that it won't scratch though? No. Sand will scratch it like any other glass.
