Can anyone recommend a good calculator for the HD? I need one that can do more than just add, subtract, multily and divide. One that can graph equations, do integration, trig functions etc.
Thanks,
Johannes.
Cambridge, UK.
Nice request!
Same needs are present for me! Hope there is a program like this out there.
Thanks

Maybe something like this? (on the left side, the last button)

All of the calculator software I have tried does not work at all (Lygea) or has troubles with the display (MxCalc).
Any suggestions?
I like HiCalc. It has everything you could want, and is very user friendly.
I used HiCalc on my older diamond, it is not working on the HD, am I wrong??

This is my beloved calculator. I hope you're wrong here. But I did'nt see that on the wiki but I'll test that the moment my unit arrive.
If you've already got your unit, why not go ahead to test and update the wiki. Cheers.
HiCalc is my favorite one, but it occupies like 1/4 of the screen on my HD, so it's unuseable.

That's a disappointment.
How much problem is this? Does it just leave a blank space at the bottom or does it not run at all?

Did you install the vga or qvga version?
I had one version which worked on my previous VGA device. Guess this means it was a VGA one, although it wasn't the latest.

You're right. In the case of HiCalc they use the same cab both type of devices.
I hope that they come up with a version for HD soon.
I would be happy with a calculator that just fits the whole screen and is not as terribly ugly as the WM one.
Panoramic Calc Pro.

This one:

is supposed to work fine on the HD. Very similar to HiCalc.
Regards!
I like this even more than HiCalc. It takes so little resources and is really fast too.
You can skin the windows one to fit in on the touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413583
i saw the type of lock screen the nexus one has and i'm wondering can we have it on the hd2?
http://www.throttlelauncher.com/portal/Table/Products/ThrottleLock/
I haven't tried it on the HD2, but it worked good on my Touch Pro.

This lock is android system lock in all versions of android phones. It is way better then throttle lock because you cannot bypass it in any way, and has diagonal movements too. But throttlelock is very close to android system lock.
would also know, if it worked
maybe i try this one looks kind of funny
DN41
I tried throttle lock for a while. Works but seems a little buggy. Does not look as slick as android lock but good attempt and you can skin it too. Removed though as the bugs where getting on my nerves
i try throttle lock on my hd2..not that great...
So I was playing around in the gallery on my edge just found this out. I've looked numerous tips and tricks and never seen this. Anyways, while in the gallery, if you do the pinch to zoom and do this about 2 or 3 times and you will get a grid of 8x12. Lots and lots of pictures. They are sketched but you get the ideas of the grid
It's not a hidden trick, it's a future already know. btw one time I had a grid of 16x24 but I don't know why and how reproduce it.

Hmmm not sure about 16x24 but I believe you get 16x9 or 10 by having it in landscape.

It was hidden to me lol. None of my other notes have done this and no videos I have seen ever mentioned anything about it.
I kind of think this was always available. I think my Note 2 also had it. I know for sure you can swipe left for more grids but I'm not too sure about the pinching. Will check whenever I see my bro as he has it now.

I still have both my note 2 and note 3. I believe this is a new feature that was added cause neither of mine do it. While you can zoom to make the images bigger 2×4 grid then the next size (normal size) is 3×6. This is the same on both notes 2 & 3. Neither will go smaller than this unlike the note edge.

This is a super cool feature that's exclusive to the Note 5 for no good reason... I'd love to be able to take scrolling screen shots on my edge+ but I'm not aware of a way to do that.
Does anyone know if there's a way to port this apk or something? Thanks everyone!

It is already on your phone as Screen Write and all the libs are there too, but you need a pen to activate it which you can't since s pen doesn't work with your device

I am using snapdragon Note 9
Thanks for mentioning the app by the way, I think it might be favorite edge/gesture control now (have tried many)

btw my is really slow right ?
i found one funny issue with my pie control, if i open pie control in any screen other than home screen, it work perfectly but in home screen it take few second to load, any one have idea what it cause ?
I am actually taking back my recommendation on this app...
more than once I have had it kind of "take over" my screen.
What I mean is, any touch on my screen is attempting to touch something in PIE control (and not actually graphically showing PIE control, btw).
you effectively can't do anything at that point.
Its been a few days since I stopped using it, but I really did pretty exhaustively try to figure out how to stop this.
I really liked this app's "swipe" method instead of pulling the PIE out and having to like hold on a button for a quick sec, this app lets you do it in a smooth swiping motion.
Anyways, ive given up and gone back to onscreen navigation keys.
Every method I have tried (including XDA's navigation) has had some small hangups that eventually have problems working.
And no I haven't reported errors and such in respective threads, I just give up because my "lots of effort into having a hacky phone" days are behind me
