Out of curiosity, once Meego Tablet is released would it be possible to install it on a Elocity A7?
MeeGo is open source, so if you able then you could compile it yourself you can run it right now.

Since its possible to get backtrack etc on a500 is it also possible to get meego?
If I read right Backtrack was running in a chroot wasn't it?
Yes >.<
But is it possible to run meego too? XD
Just curious as to what can be run under Ubuntu running on an A500. Can it run eclipse (and the android SDK)? gcc? Or does that all need to be ported and compiled specifically for mobile device CPUs?
Hi all,
I want to buy a Iconia A501, so does it run dual boot win7/8 & ICS?
Thanks 4 replying
No
A500/A501 runs on Android with possibility to dual boot to Linux in the future (there are some Work-In-Progress projects right now).
W500/W501 runs on Windows 7 and I don't know if anyone even tried to boot another system on it.

Thanks 4 ur reply, bcoz i saw Model W500/W501 run dual boot win8 & Android, so i think that A501 also do that.
Iconia W50x has an x86 based CPU. That's why it can run Windows 7. I didn't know that it can already boot Android.
Iconia A50x has an ARM based CPU (Tegra2). There is no Windows 7 version that can run on ARM (actually Win7 can only be run on x86/x64 architecture).
Windows 8 will have an ARM supporting version but there is almost no chance that it could work on any Tegra2 based tablet.
The W50X has been able to run Android but the A50X series can't run windows - any version of windows....
Hey guys!!
I am new around here so I apologize for any brake of rules I might be doing around here. You are welcomed to notify my about them
I just got a Geeksphone Peak. On the box it came with Firefox OS, of course. I had it for a few days and then flashed Android in there. I am not sure how, but it looks like Firefox OS is not there anymore, or I can't find it. Any idea how to flash Firefox OS again here so I can have both?
And another question, is there possible to have another version of Android, a lower one? I have Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich but probably the system would run faster in an older version of Android.
Thanks in advance!
As far as I know, it is not officially supported to have dualboot. So you have Androd or Firefox OS. You can download the old images here: downloads.geeksphone.com (sorry I cannot post links because I am new user). But Geekpshone has dropped support of Peak so there is no current built. I am trying really hard to build it but so far no success.
As for the Android - where did you downloaded it? You would have to download old built which is not built anywhere - so you would have to build it yourself.
Hi all,
I have a Firefly ROC-RK3399-PC (also called "Renegade Elite") dev board that I desperately want to turn into an Android TV 10 box. Firefly has a great how to on how to compile the stock Android 10: [Compile Android 10](http://wiki.t-firefly.com/en/ROC-RK3399-PC-PLUS/compile_android10.0_firmware.html), but not how to compile Android TV 10! Does Android TV require a special build option? A different repo source? Is it just a series of apps that have to be installed on top of the stock Android?
After googling my guts out for months I still have no clue.
I will be eternally grateful if anyone can explain how to compile Android TV 10 from source!
Thanks in advance!
-Dan
I don't know if it's helpful https://www.96boards.org/projects/AOSPTVHikey/
You can compile it from the AOSP source using lunch. However, Android TV will be basically useless without Gapps.
