Corporate Discount on Data Plan - Xoom General

If you are eligible for a corporate discount, you can recieve a discount off you monthly data plan with verizon!
Heres the catch, i has to be $35 and above to recieve. You dont get any discounts on the $20 one. So for me I stepped up to the $35 dollar plan and got 25% off.
So for 26.25 I get 3gb a month!

How To Get The TMobile HD2 Cheaper...

I've been reading this forum for a while, (since my xv6700) and you all are very knowledgeable with these phones and getting the most usage out of them. My question is, since the US T-Mobile pricing has been announced for the HD2 $199/contract & $449/no contract. Which would be cheaper over the 2 years? Is there a special pricing plan that you can get if you brought the HD2 no commit, that would give you all the features, (unlimited talk and text) and maybe a cheaper data plan. I ask this because I heard of people having unlocked and no commit PDAs and getting a regular "dumb phone", (ex like a low-end cheap flip Samsung phone) data pricing, ($10 instead of the $30). I am a little confused about the Even More and Even More Plus plans being offered and if im paying full cost for a phone, I want to make sure my monthly bill justifies it over the course of 2 years.
So if you all could help, it would be highly appreciated.

hehe... here in latvia it costed me a 110% of monthly wage no contract + money for every "MB/SMS/Call second"
701 USD o_0 without contract
Let me break it down like this. Since you're buying the phone from T-Mobile you will be required to have a smartphone data plan(Their new plans all data whether dumbphone or smart cost the same they have to add the correct provisioning though) If you had an older T-Zones data you'd be grandfathered in for 5.99 and could use it on a smartphone I believe.
Anyways down to price
For the Even More Contract Plan Unlimited Talk+Text+Web
Up Front Costs:
$199 - Phone
$35 - Activation Fee
Any applicable tax
Monthly Costs:
$99 + Any applicable tax
Even More Plus Non-Contract With available EIP
Up Front Cost:
$22.50 - 1st Month Phone
$35 - Activation
Any applicable tax
Monthly Cost:
$79 + Any applicable tax
$22.50 for EIP purchase (427.50 over first 19 months 0% interest)
Even More Plus Non-Contract Without EIP
Up Front Cost:
$449 - Phone
$35 - Activation
Any applicable tax
Monthly Cost:
$79 + Any applicable tax
Total Up Front:
EM: $234 + Any applicable tax
EM+: $484 + Any applicable tax
EM+ w/ EIP: $57.50 + Any applicable tax
Total Cost of Ownership:
EM: $2610 + Any applicable tax
EM+: $2380 + Any applicable tax
EM+ w/ EIP: $2381 + Any applicable tax
So the best value would have to be the EM+ with the Equipment Installment plan if you qualify. Much lower up front cost than even the contract plan, and only 2 dollars a month more than the contract plan, plus after 19 months it drops to the regular 79 a month, where the contract plan doesn't
Hopefully that covers everything lol
Also if I wan't too clear on the data thing with smartphones and dumbphones, T-Mobile now checks the IMEI, and if the device trying to access the internet isn't provisioned it will bring you to a page to add the proper data package, so a dumbphone data plan no longer works on a smartphone, unless you have the grandfathered in T-Zones package.
Bloody hell you get shafted in the States!!!
In the UK, last week I got the following:
Phone upgrade £185 (12 Month Contract)
+ £25 per month for the following:
150 any time any network minutes per month
150 SMS messages per month
Unlimited Data (500MB fair usage)
+ just sold the old HD1 on ebay for £180 so phone effectively free!
Happy days!
idk about shafted...
thats 150 minutes, 150 sms and 500MB of data for almost 40USD a month, while the lowest EM+ plan is 59USD for 500 any time minutes, unlimited night and weekend, unlimited SMS, and unlimited Data(Throttled after 5GB)
I'll take my plans... oh yea and no contract with the EM+
Plus thats almost 300USD for the phone on contract, US version which has more ROM is 199 on contract and 450 no contract. or 60 up front 22.50 a month if you use the 0% interest EIP

Sprint offered me new plan for Evo--Simply Everything 500

So I bought my evo off of my wife's family plan she shares with her side of her family. She added her brother, so he said that he would give me the evo for the hero. Fair trade in my eye . So I call sprint last night and the rep says that they have a better plan called Simply Everything 500--500 minutes instead of 450 and $59 instead of $69. Now they still add the $10. So essentially my plan is $69 (w/the $10 inculded) with 500 min. and everything else the same. He mentioned that they will be switching people over to it without them knowing. Don't know how, but anyway. I thought it was a good deal so I took it. Now I just wonder will I still get my $20 a month credit and 15% discount back on there? Yes my plan after taxes will be about $54/month. That's why I love sprint.
Anyone else here of this plan?
Interesting..would like to know more about this.
thats just the "new" sero plan.
you won't get any discounts on it.
better off getting the regular plan and getting your discounts applied
Did some research and found out that this plan is called the Everything Plus 500 which use to be called the SERO plan. I had SERO for years before they said that you can't get it with the hero. Now I'm back on it!!! Hell yeah.
Wait a minute just thought of something, when I got the Hero I had a choice between this Everything Plus 500 and the Simply Everything for $69.99. The only real difference was that you couldn't get any discounts on the Everything Plus 500 plans, only discounts were applied to the Simply Everything plans. guess I have to call sprint back and see if I keep my discounts or revert me back to my old Simply everything 450 plan for $79 (but prob. total $65 after discounts added).

You're right. I just did the math and I would end up paying more on the Plus 500 plan. Gonna call Sprint right now and get this reverted back. That $20 credit a month is a great thing

I had to do the same thing. We had an Everything Plus family 1600 plan for $109 but we lost our 25% discount. I ended up changing it to the regular version of this (with only 1500 minutes) for $129 so the discount would apply.
I went back and forth with them for a while because for the first 3 months they kept the discount on that Plus plan. Ive ALWAYS had discounts with my old SERO plans event hough they claim you cant. Out of the blue they removed my 25%, and I had no choice but to switch plans.
Don't forget on the eprp plans you get WiFi tethering for $20 not $30

It is called Everything Plus 500; it is the new Sprint Sprint Employee plan after the SERO price jack 2+ years ago. There is NO chance/NO possibility that you will get any sort of % employee/corporate discount.
However, if you were promised $20 or $10 credit, you may be able to get it reapplied if you fight for it.
For most people Everything Data 450 is cheaper after employee discount.
$89.99 for two simply everything lines w/1200 anytime minutes per line, unlimited web, unlimited text messages, unlimited mobile-to-mobile. Add $10 for the EVO service. I'm still cheaper than an Iphone plan on one line.

Your sprint bill?

ok aggravating that it is so difficult to navagate the sprint website.
My question is, i have 1 evo phone now on the 450 minute data plan which comes out to 79 bux a month, 69 and the 10 dollar date plan.
i am considering adding an additional line, possibly 2. one will be another evo, and not sure about the 3rd, but probably wont be an evo.
How much does your phone bills come into and on what plan for 2 or 3 phones if i may ask? i do have a 25% discount on my bill.
Thanks for any help.
Sprint has the following plans available for the EVO + additional lines:
1500 minutes, $129.99 + $10 per EVO (additional phones would cost an extra $20 per, +$10 if an EVO)
3000 minutes, $169.99 + $10 per EVO (additional phones would cost an extra $20 per, +$10 if an EVO)
Unlimited minutes, $189.98 + $10 per EVO (additional phones would cost an extra $89.99 per, +$10 if an EVO) No discounts apply to this plan
The first two, of course, are not including your discount or activation fees, so keep that in mind. Your 25% discount does not apply to the $10 EVO Premium Data package, either.
About $150ish with 1500 min fam share with only 1 evo, 2 berry's and a rumor. Of course that's with 27% discount too.

$71 total after taxes
23% fedex business discount
everything data 450
$10 evo(prem data) charge
i went from a grandfathered $50 total sprint bill to a $70 bill.. all for the evo.
would be nice if that $10 was waived some day. I expect it not to.
140 after tax
27% discount for 5 line Everything Data family plan

$10 Evo charge
trick is to talk to retentions after your two years are up
Does everyone's $10 charge show up online?
Because mine doesn't show up online and is not part of my new bill. I have a feeling that the phone exchange employee at BB 'messed' up my plan.

I have the family plan, i own an evo, my sister owns the moment plus $10 extra for insurance and my other sister owns some palm phone. We pay $170 a month.
In Idaho, the taxes and fees on 3 lines come to about $12, on top of the normal monthly plan cost. I also somehow qualified for a RI employee discount of 23%, even though I live in Idaho and have nothing to do with anything in RI, nor have I ever been to the state.
Edit: You think sprint's website is a mess, wait until you try att's! Holy ****, sprint's is like facebook, compared to att is like myspace.

[Q] $30 or $25 unlimited android data plan?

I've seen a lot of people posting about their $25 unlimited data plan, but all I've been seeing on the Tmoble site for the past 2 years are $30 unlimited data plans. $5 extra might seem insignificant to some, but I'm just curious if some regions have different pricing for unlimited smartphone data or if all $25 plans are grandfathered.
Does anyone happen to have a non-grandfathered $25 unlimited smartphone data plan? and if so which region do you live in?
btw I live in southern California (L.A.) and only the $30 option was available to me (just unlimited web and No texting included)
I talked to retentions when I got my Vibrant and they offered a discount on the Android data plan from $30/mo. to $25/mo.
I have a two-phone family plan with TMo, and I was offered (without asking) an unlimited data plan for $25 per phone, which I have on just one of the phones since the other isn't a smartphone. I also chose to go off contract: I was about 18 months into a 2-year contract and they let me out of it for $30 per phone. This reduced my monthly phone plan by $20 per month, so my net is a $5 per month increase for unlimited data and no contract. The downside is no subsidized phones, but I was ok with that. I've been a TMo customer for about 7 years, and I don't know if that factored in to anything.
It's a $20 plan. Talk to someone in the contracts dept, as I did. Yes I'm a longtime customer, but they might give it to ya if you act nice.
Mine is a $25 add-on, "Unlimited Android Data", select after picking a non-data plan. I got it from the website about 2 months ago, and it was listed as a "Required Service" for my phone. Customer for 7 years or so, but since I didn't talk to CS/Retention, I don't think that factored in.
Im paying $20 for the Android plan. You need to talk to retention/customer loyalty department to get it. Some people may only be able to get $25... it really depends on the rep you get and how long you have been with Tmo.
$20 Android loyalty data plan here.
Call T-Mobile Toll Free, hit 0 and say you want to cancel account.
That will get you to the retentions department. They are the ones authorized to give out special loyalty plans like that.
as others said. talk to retentions. if you have been w tmobile for a while you have a better chance.
I have $25 data plan which includes 400 texts
My wife had $35 data plan which includes unlimited texts

Hmm.. I barely renewed my 2-year contract this past summer to get new phones. Would they only help you change to the $20 loyalty plan after your contract expires because they know you'll have to pay the etf if you cancel now?
I am a loyalty customer btw.

Were you still on contract?
Ok, guys, I owe you one. Talked with TMo Customer Service and the guy said he'd see what he could do. Came back to the phone and said, "Sorry, no better deal I'm able to offer, but I'll send you over to the Customer Loyalty folks." Thirty seconds later I was on the $20 plan.
Yes! It worked for me too; now i have the $20 data for both android phones on the account. But I was required to switch to a "loyalty plan", which is 3000 minutes + unlimited text for $110/mo, while i had the 1500 minute (no text) plan for $80.
So i saved $20 on smartphone web and paying $30 more for double the minutes + text.
In the end, I'm paying $10 extra on the bill...
Did any else have to switch to a 3000 minute loyalty plan in order to apply loyalty web on a family plan?

I should've talked to retentions directly. I called 611 and the rep talked to retentions dept for me and then gave me that as my only offer.
The plan I had to change to has the same name as the regular plan, just $10 cheaper: Even More™ for Families 3000 Talk + Unlimited Text...
I'll try and see if they will change me onto a "preferred plan".
Update:
Called retentions and the rep said: "That's the only promotional plan being offered as of right now in my area. The most recent changes to the promotional plans took effect 11/15"
