Just checked for updates and to my amazement there is the update to 2.2 for my locked Rogers....

I have an AT&T streak I got a week or so ago. Last night I successfully upgraded it to 2.2 using the info from modaco. (AT&T 1.6 -> o2 1.6 -> 6267-> 2.2)
Today just for giggles I tried to do software update check and noticed the URL for the update check showed my current baseband number (00) but also listed my service tag number. That got me thinking. Is Dell then keeping track of which service tags ship with which baseband and then will not allow ota upgrades if it doesn't match what their records show?
Thoughts? I hope that isn't the case. I was going to return my streak to reorder the US unlocked version they were going to sell in a couple weeks but cancelled that cause I was able to get baseband 00 and 2.2 installed. Now I am wondering if I should still do it cause I don't want to be excluded from further ota updates.
future updates can also be applied the same way you did with 2.2
Yeh I relalize that but still would be nice to just be able to get ota updates and not have to worry about it.
well cant say really much about it since it needs to happen first. my steak is that they use servicetags for the update mechanisme , like they do on pc. this isnt going to send out any personal data but it can track the device if stolen or anything.
It's almost the end of June and I still haven't had the Gingerbread update pushed to my Droid Pro. Does anyone know if this update still has additional rollout waves? Perhaps my company has control over when the update is pushed out, once it completes its own internal security tests? Either way I'd rather not flash my phone manually as I've never found the need to root, and I'd rather do an in-place upgrade that retains all my apps/settings.
No update here either :/ I'd much rather have the official GB update than the one that requires root
Good to know I'm not the only one at least
There is no final Gingerbread for Droid Pro for now (27.06.2011)
To make the story short - there has been no final Gingerbread for Droid Pro yet. Check the thread below to read more:

The version from this thread does not require root - it's a Motorola beta version that was released to a small amount of people.
Yea ive heard it was just a test release. Only small amount of phones got updated
Thanks for the info. Not having the latest software always makes me antsy, but in this case it's okay since it's not publicly available
I got the update last night sometime. I woke up at 3am to let the dog out and saw my phone had it waiting. Half asleep i accepted the update....
I wake up later pissed because im rooted and now im stuck in limbo again (this happened once during the last update sent out). Now I have to reflash my phone back to a previous stock OS and then reaccept the new updates.. yay lol
ok so i flashed back with an earlier SBF file and updated back to where i was before the GB update. Now i go to about phone and search for update and the GB update is not showing up
Today an OTA update of firmware version XXUEMJ8 got released in India. But since I have rooted my phone, it says device has been modified, can't check for OTA.
How can I get the update on my phone.
My Lollipop OTA update is downloading as I type this! Woo hoo! I'm on an unlocked US retail device, and I had to check for the update manually. There goes my free time this evening (not that I'm complaining).
I just bought an unlocked AT&T Galaxy S7 to use on another carrier. Because I'm not on AT&T, I don't get OTA updates. I sideloaded the QA6 update which brought the device up to Android 7.0. However, I noticed there are like 8 OTA updates that at&t pushed out. I would like to be able to get onto the latest update which was released a couple weeks back, but the idea of sideloading that many updates is discouraging. Are there some updates I can skip? Thank you.
