Hi
After successfully installing Froyo NAND on my HD2 i realized that the handset volume during a telephone call is much too low although the slider shows maximum. Is there a chance to get the earpiece as loud as under WM6.5?

Hi
Can anyone help?
This is annoying more than stopping me using the phone but when i want to make a phone call the noises of the tone dialing when you press a number are very very faint, have to hold it to my ear to hear it, it wasnt like this yesterday??????
Have checked all the sound settings and volume and they are all high/max but still no joy, spoken to HTC who I could not understand, sounded spanish and he could not do it either...
Keypad volume is linked to the media volume, turn the media volume up in the sound settings and you should be good.
Already done that..... its on max and phone button noise is barely audible....
Just noticed its not just the dialing tones its also the little tick noise you get when you press any icon on the screen, thats quiet too
Have you dropped your phone over night? Is it running stock?

My phone is standard.... has a few apps etc but thats it.
I did drop it a few weeks ago, no visible damage, but im quite sure the dialer noise and click when you tap the screen has just happened.... its not gone its just very very quiet... tried ticking the button to switch it on and off and that has not done anything either, HTC said they didnt know but to do a hard reset
Have you used the fm radio? Sounds odd but I used it once on either the desire or desire hd and when the volume on that was down so was the system volume. Stab in the dark

Ive never used the radio on this phone, i even removed the otter box case to see if that was muffling the noise and its not.... looks like a hard reset then!
Gutted mate, let us know if the reset works.

its a small bub install a free app volume ace and when u open it u'll see a system volume slider.... jst slide up...and here u go...full vol as before...
What do you mean about "its a small bub..."
I will try and find the app, thanks for the info
Just download an app called Quick Settings and adjust the System Volume to max and you can hear the screen taps and other sounds. I had this problem and that app solved it.
I don't know how but I've suddenly got the keypad sounds back at correct volume on phone dialer.. but strangely my qwerty keypad noises have not only returned but now sounds like an old fashioned type writer??? My 4 yr old was messing with it earlier, but I've checked all settings and they haven't changed..
I had the same problem thanks for recommending the app its worked perfectly Your my hero lol Seriously though thanks.
Thanks a lot mate !! Volume Ace is AWESOME \m/ Solved all my problems

Thank you, I had the same problem the OP had. Downloaded volume ace now and my system volume was turned right down.
Hello is there an app for WP7 to make caller volume louder?
i M gree with you bro..
i am a user of htc hd7 and i hate weekness sound volume...
Have you tried using Vol Up while in a call? At volume 10 I can hear the other person perfectly, it`s almost as good as on speaker...

Yep my vol is at 10 now. If it's dead quiet it's fine, but if there's any back ground noise I can't hear the caller. Also notice the volume isn't great for calls through the speaker. My ring is very loud. Calls through the speaker I can barely hear them.
Guys,
Im moving this to the Q&A section. Look at the faq thread, it tells you in there
Chow.
i have htc hd2 with mdj's cyanogen7, everything works perfect except for i cant make calls without hearing robot voice and when i press speaker my phone freezes
The ringtone volume of htc legend running on 2.2 automatically lowers when i travel to some 'other' place. Like i was at college (which is at a different district) and ive come home for holidays. This is not a once issue , this has been happening everytime i visit home , whereas at coll , the ringtone volume is fine !
I have the same issue (which was fixed by 2.2) when I flashed my legend with blaYo rom.
If you have gsm - change to WCDMA - if you have WCDMA - change to GSM and se if it helps.
No does not work the moment i clicl decline for one moment , just ONE moment the ringtone is full volume and by then it cuts
Your so called problem is the proximity sensor. Either its screwed (less possible) or something wrong with your ROM (more possible). Unfortunately you've didn't mention what kind of ROM you're using.

Its Superuser,Keep It Simple ROM @ 2.2
Some help guys !?
There is a feature to lower call volume when the phone is moved, maybe thats the problem?
Come on. I wouldn't take the trouble of posting this topic if it was just a noob-ish issue. Thats not the case.
Problem or in the sensor, unless of course you have not tried to change the firmware
Ok i just had a topic about my phone not coming on after putting new rom on any ways fixed that! i have put some kind off windows 6.5 i think.. and ways loaded up good then ran android and now when i ring all i can hear is Robot voice i had the problem before and think it was to do with the radio but cant remember how i fixed that before... any ideas cheers
what version of android sd or nand?
if sd what your radio version?
are you using Gingerbread roms?
turn loudspeaker on and back off while on a call, then hang up, then should be fixed on future calls.
Go to settings/sound and UNCHECK audible touch tones and reboot,GUARANTEED TO WORK
