I don't know if you're familiar but for some time there are some options available to jailbreak your PS3.
The smart guys of the world managed to do so via an USB Dongle and as well via N900 and it seems PalmPre.
Would this be possible via Android/HD2? I suppose it should..

and why do you say it won't work on the HD2?
i have read that android must be on the root of the phone. so hd2 has no android root. i'm a noob so if i say it wrong than someone correct me.

Let's just hope the smart devs will get this on our beloved HD2s. I have complete faith in them! Just look around and you'll see impossible is nothing!
But I read in a website there that people were getting banned, so it kinda beats the purpose if you want to play online games. You would only be able to play story mode games with your internet disconnected.

Actually no.. These things aren't actual illegal..
I remember some lawsuit from apple which they lost on this firmware modding.
All this PSFreedom thing does is load the PS3 into debug mode.
Don't really see what's illegal about that..

exactly. I'm rubbing my hands in anticipation of all the homebrew that'll be available. Proper mkv playback, better PS1/2 emulation than the original fat PS3's "hardware" PS2 emu capabilities, snes emulation, better browser (firefox?)... once it's opened up to run anything, the possibilities are endless
oooh yeaah.. 1080p mkv in PS3 willbe juuust right.. I hope someone will port xbmc to ps3..

Just thought i'd start a thread about this game, it's just been released in Beta format for Android - its originally an iphone MMO RPG game. You create a character and go off on quests with buddies - similar to WoW but a lot more basic...
Anyway its a freebie and a great little game so worth a go - its 28mb download size though so may wanna grab it while on a wireless connection.
It has great 3D graphics and runs really smooth!
Maybe see some of you guys in game - im Atolo a warrior

This game is so much fun. I've been playing it all weekend since I read this topic. Leoevo level 13 archer. The only problem is now all my friends without smartphone think I'm this ridiculous nerd now. Any fix? Lol

guys im having sometimes 70second(70'000 ping) lags (190-290 avg ping) every 10 minutes with my wifi connection ... and sofar no lags on my hsdpa (290-390 avg ping) hows it going for you ? im thinking its rom related or game world ? im sure id see some feedback if it happened for every one !

problem fixed by changing to CM6.1 build ... now touchscreen freezes are back ... fml
EDIT 2 :
changed back to yet another Sense build , now no wifi dc and no touchscreen freeze , guess i hit the sweet spot

Another good free game from Market is Pocket Empires. You build up cities, tech levels, fight monsters and opposing players, and build wealth. It's another MMORPG, has alot of cool features like alliances, stock market to trade goods/troops, huge map, thousands of other players, world/alliance/market chats, plus you don't have to play it constantly. You can put it down and come back to it on your own time. If you guys get tired of Pocket Legends, and want to try another game for awhile, check it out

It will take ages to copy, when they finally release the open source this game development will progress quickly. I for one dont need any other games if that happens.

This service claims it can stream your games from your computer with an adapted ui. I can definately see where this could be useful...like farming in wow and stuff like that,but i would mostly brag to my friends that i have battlefield 3 running on my phone

Its Internet only...but some are fortunate to have cheap data plans so they can play...and edge is fast enough for a solid framerate
Mate, I doubt EDGE would be fast enough for a solid framerate. I have an unlimited plan, so when this is released, I will deffo be looking into this
data connectivity in my area is shocking, so i wont even bother. but it sounds interesting and like something that could really grow when air space improves ^_^
