Hello,
I followed every step in the [TUTORIAL] Setting and activating WP7 on HD2 (with my activation code) and I am still getting the "Can't get this info right now. Check back in a little while."
Any ideas?
Thank you for your help.
If you are using the LEO70 rom you need to run the reg patch. Even if you've activated your phone you'll get that message you're getting now.
Try using Footballs rom, the reg has been patched so you should be able to activate it using your code straight away without needing to do anything else.

Anyway what rom are you using?

I installed Frantic's WP7 7008 build (Feb 2011 build from MS). The cook already has Chevron unlocker built in and is unlocked! Everything works flawlessly for me on my TMOUS HD2. Remember, you need a Hotmail Live email account to use Marketplace. I've been downloading and installing some of my favorite apps from when I was running WM 6.5.
I'm even sideloading apps!

Can anyone please help. Today my xda locked up so I carried out a soft reset. During the reset I noticed on the boot up screen in red letters no gsm. I tried everything in order to get the phone side of the xda to work with no joy. So I carried out a hard reset still no joy. Next I tried a rom upgrade that previously worked. I tried this in normall and in bootloader mode and I got the same error message: Error 120: Country ID Error. Can anyone please help me
Thanks
Brian

What fixed it Brian? That thread seems to be talking about upgrading the rom.
Were you using a standard Rom before it went wrong, or had you put one of the other ones on it? Reading these threads, some of these 'upgades' seem to be a bit risky to me.
He've got simlovcked phone(only for one network) becose of that he cannot flash rom from other provider(i.e. is locked on orange & wants flash o2 rom)

I was using the rom I downloaded form 02 web site which caused my phone to crash and not turn on. I then followed the instructions from the above link and loaded the rom in boot mode and the phone worked much quicker than ever before. This ROM worked superb for me Aku 3.5 Ivan test 2
I have a HTC Vogue (100) w/WM6.1 that a friend gave me and have been considering Flashing over to MetroPCS. I know the phone will do talk/text and even though MetroPCS says no DATA, I see people have enabled that as well with flashed ROMs. So now i'm just a bit confused as to the proper steps to take:
1) Do I unlock/flash the phone before or after MetroPCS flashes it to their system?
2) If MetroPCS assumes no DATA do I have to convince them to put me on a DATA plan anyway in order to set up DATA?
Sorry for what may seem to others as basic knowledge but I could quite figure this stuff out - information overload.
Thanks,
npeelman

To flash the device, follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592964
My Rom is pre-configured to work with MetroPCS, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=652271
And to set up MetroPCS web and MMS, follow the directions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448955
You have to have data from MetroPCS in order to get data to work (the $40 plan includes it already)
Good luck!

Thank you for the links and the fast reply... I still need to know if I flash the ROM before or after MetroPCS flashes the phone?
As long as you're putting a WinMo ROM on it, it shouldn't matter which one it is.

I'm sorry. I don't understand how that answers my question.
You can flash the ROM before you bring it to MetroPCS if you want. I don't think it matters to them what ROM is on the phone for them to activate it, as long as it's a Windows Mobile ROM and not Android.

Ok, update:
Successfully flashed the imcokeman 2.31 bootloader and flashed the ROM as linked to above by egzthunder1. No problems so far as I can tell. I have not been to MetroPCS to activate it yet. The only thing i've played with so far is GPS but I am not getting any satellites. I did change the Settings->Personal->Location to ON from 911 but still no go.

Actually, it does matter because Houdini soft will likely not recognize anything above 6.1 (phone codes simply will not work from a custom rom with a custom skinned dialer). If you successfully unlocked it, there is no need to re-lock it or anything like that. Just flash back to stock, and then take it to MetroPCS. Once the device has been configured, you can switch roms. This is necessary because most MPCS customer reps are not familiar with any of these.
Thanks for the info, that's what I was looking for. Now to just locate that stock rom and away we go.
Thanks again!

Just a quick update. I downloaded .40 unlocker and the stock Verizon ROM and successfully flashed my Vogue back to stock. It did hit a hickup erroring out at 8% on the first try but the software was able to recover correctly. I don't recall the exact error but I know it has to do with the USB connection. When I unplugged/replugged the phone it didn't switch back to the USB connection (on the phone), it stayed on Serial. Second attempt worked perfectly.
I still haven't made it to MetroPCS to flash the phone yet though.
Hello everyone ...
I am in great need of help cause I'm seriously having a hard time ... So I'm running LEO70 on my hd2 thanks to DFT team and I have already jailbroke it with Chevron .. Now I haven't used it for a while cause I had to take it for repairs because of a hardware problem ( Vol Up not working ) and I promise you the people did not even boot my phone so it was untouched software wise .. Anyway I wanted to put a custom ringtone using the ChevronWP7 Ringtone Installer tool .. I did used it and when I wanted to deploy it onto my HD2 it tells me that my device has to be developer unlocked . So i research and then use the Windows Phone Developer Registration tool which tells me that i have to have an account on their site first . I go on to do the account and my country isnt supported so i use another address in the US ( cousin's house ) and when it comes to the payment option i get really lost cause it tells me about Xbox Live or paying 99$ or what not and the xbox live app on my hd2 isn't associated with my real xbox live account...
So technically wanting a custom ringtone lead me to this deep **** here ... Anyone help ? Please this is getting on my nerves ... Thank you in return.

Sounds like your phones locked its self again, re run chevron and unlock it, or download the newer NoDo release from XBMOD

Haha yeah I figures that out this morning , so I hard resetted my phone and ran Chevron , worked perfectly and I did the necessary to prevent it from relocking .. Anyway I wanted to ask about the NoDo whether its worth flashing it or not .. What do you think ?

Yes go for Xmodbox 1.10 rom, as you wont have to bother with the Chevron crap anymore.
Just re,ember to format your SD Micro card, run task29, then magldr 113, and then the rom.
You may get a few re-boot loops, but this will sort its self out. And re-check the date/time settings after the boot.

i wouldnt say its an overwhelming leap, but ive been using it for a few days and ive not found anything negative with it so theres nothing to lose, i wouldnt say theres much better in it either to be honest the search changes in the marketplace are welcome, but yeah, if you going to be flashing anyway you may as well do it, if you not wanting to flash just yet, wait for Mango, your not missing much
Guys I had the phone with the 1.6 version. Then installed a new rom froyobread it also required to update the baseband. All the process were fine using xrecovery to install. Now it asks for a sim network pin, did I miss anything?
Please help me to fix it.

Well it shows 2 options, unlock and dismiss. If I select dismiss the phone functions are not available it shows service state as out of service.
Maybe you should have flashed the stock 2.1 rom with the new baseband first and then the custom rom of your choice..
Ummm I skipped the 2.1 because it wasn't available for my region. Any other idea?
Thanks for the support.

Not I'm aware of. HD2 is specifically for T-Mobile and ATT is on the different band. I'm sure the phone will work fine, but I don't think you will have the full features.
But flashing any ROM and changing the APN would work I guess.
Good luck
I have an unlocked HD2 and I'm using the ROM in my sig (it's a link) I'd recommend that one, it's just superb and the chap who updates it (Tyween) is really on the ball and releases a new version every so often so that the latest updates are always available.
It's not so much the ROM that'll dictate how well your carrier will work, but the radio. Have a look around, there may be one that works especially well with AT&T
Thank you I will copy the values you have in your signature
No worries I hope you have as much enjoyment out of it as I do

Can you tell me what your internet settings are?
Hi all,
........
..
.
There are so many ROMs available, and there are two options for an HD2, SD build and NAND Build; SD implies just copy paste on a the ROM on the SD card and you are done to boot. And NAND ones are a little hard to install but good on the long run

I have to say I've not experienced any internet issues. I don't use data because that costs monies but I do use wifi, no special settings though, just as it comes.

MMS and Mobile Data configuration settings were automatically downloaded to the phone when I plugged in my AT&T SIM.
It basically configured itself.

This may be a noob question but in order for me to use the HD2 on my ATT acct. Does the rom have to be an unlocked rom? Or do i have to mod a file(s) on the phone/sd card.

Nope, just install it and go. The phone does have to be sim unlocked in order to work on AT&T though. I have Rafdroid Froyo on my HD2 and it works great on AT&T.
OK i finally understood how to add nand android to the hd2 and i have tried 2 version niether of them recognize at&t as a network. I went to available settings under networks and and it gave me at&t as an option but when i selected it. the prompt Registering on at&t then it said unable to connect to this network at this time try again later
is there another setting i should be changing do i need to re enter my sim unlock code if so where do i do that
