ok so a friend of my just got upped to the tilt from the 8125 and he passed it off to me. I already have a cell phone so i was thinkin maybe since i have wifi i could just fix it up so i have a little wifi browser at home... only problem is I cant seem to get it to work. firstly i had my router set on wpa2 so i changed it to wpa/wpa2-psk and i put in my password and it says cannot connect because i need a certificat. can some one help me so i can hack this dev to work with no sim as just a standard comp? maybe just install like windows 2000 or xp or something? idk im new to the smartphone modding culture. Thanks for your time.

I have a problem here that need all expert to help me..
Let say i have a computer with no internet connectivity, and my trinity windows mobile 6.1 is 3G enabled. How should I configure such that my trinity will still connecting through 3G whenever it is synching with my computer? (Currently, 3G internet connection is lost whenever the USB cable is plugged in to sync-activesync).
Appreaciate your help. Thanks.

have u try the internet sharing?.. its on the comm manager, what rom u use? .. if its not there u can enable it using Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool V2.1, then try it..

.. i am not trying to enabled internet sharing for computer..
what i am trying to establish is ..
remain the 3g connectivity on the trinity when it is connected to the computer.
coz currently.. it is trying to route all internet through my computer when it is sync..
my rom is Marry 3.7.

it is not the case.
i am able to keep my 3g connection on while sync. just that the traffic doesnt go through it.. it is trying to go through the network on my pc/..
so i cannot understand your prob.. and.. sorry

Did you try in ActiveSync to go to Connection Settings and check Allow wireles connectionon device when connected...
Also when you connect for first time to ActiveSync on one of the dialogs it will give you similar option.

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me with this problem. I recently got a Shift X9501 from China, it is already liberated with WM6 working (it has Start menu, internet explorer, USB Tools, etc.). However, the only thing I couldn't find is the Internect sharing application. It doesn't show up in the Start -> Programs folder nor can I find it in the Windows folder. I was testing the 3G connection on the Shift using my iPhone SIM card, and it only worked on the WinMo side not the Vista side. I called HTC and AT&T customer services and was told that it was because my SIM card won't allow desktop Windows to use the 3G service. So I'm guessing my only solution is to use the Internet Sharing. Please, anyone could give me a hand on this? Thx!!
Internet sharing is possible. There is nothing that you need to do or run on the WM side.
Internet sharing can only be done from the Windows side as wifi and bluetooth is only accessible there, for connection to your external device, e.g. laptop or iphone.

If it doesn't work then you may need to check your windows services to check that the internet sharing service is enabled.
Then it should work.
Hi Flanimal, thanks for the reply. But I don't think that's what I am meaning. From what I learned from the forum and other sources, I think the original Shift should come with an application called internet sharing in Snapvue even without liberation, and it can share the 3G connection from Snapvue to Vista. The application is also a standard one for WM6. I was wondering since mine is of model X9501 and it's already liberated when I got it. I doubt is it possible that the liberation deleted that function? Please help if you have any idea, a great many thanks!
I got a partial solution here by myself, and am writing it here in case anyone has similar problem. I tried to download an application named ICS Control 0.21, and copied the required IPNat.dll to the windows directory, and it turned out this way won't work as it told me loading the NAT driver failed. Then I tried to copy the IntShrUI.exe and intshare.dll to the windows directory (which are official WM6 files downloaded from somewhere else in this forum), and they also didn't work, and when I run the internet sharing application (IntShrUI.exe), it prompted that the connection could not be established with unknown reason. I then tried to backup my ROM and flash with a new one from the forum, and I failed and the SnapVue was dead. Then I found a tread in the forum telling me how to hard reset the SnapVue, and restored to the original state when I got the Shift. I thought it was really the original state, but this time the IntShrUI.exe worked! Vista is now connected with SnapVue and used it as an internet connection (later I did some registry work and the problem occured again, which forced me to hard reset my Shift again). However, the problem is that the connection is still restricted to local access only. I would guess that this is still my SIM card's fault, since it is for iPhone, and both AT&T and HTC people believed it won't work for desktop windows like Vista. I'm about to give up further exploring on this, and maybe I'll get a SIM card for laptop to have a try. Still, if anyone has any good solution for this, please reply to this thread. Any help will be appreciated.

1. device- htc hd2 , win mob6.5
rom- 1.66.415.9 wwe.
2. laptop- win xp with active sync 4.5.with a dsl connection.
i have been using the internet of my computer by active sync in my htc hd2. and everything was working very nicely. my hd2 have been connecting to laptop and the internet of laptop in a second and was very good. suddenly few days ago the htc weather stopped updating.
my data plan (sim) dont have any internet connection. i,some time use the wifi of my work place. from yesterday my phones few features got disrupted, like i can connect to active sync internet of my laptop and use-1.opera browser, 2.intenet explo. 3.google maps. 4.facebook for win mob. 5.spb tv 5.palringo.. without any problem
but i cant use 1.win. my phone, 2.marketplace 3.magic mobile currency converter 4.open market. when ever i try too connect them or start this applications, they replies could not establish a connection. check your internet connection.
i have been trying to fix it. i used all the methods i found in xda website, like active sync config, uninstall-install, active sync>file>connection>this com is connected to internrt. registry tweak to add d-word value allowLPS and all
on device i checked connection setup, kept my work connection in advanced setup, changed them did a lot of things. i updated the connection database of all operator also, but no result.
still all those application cant find any internet connection in my hd2, where as others are connecting nice and working well. i tried to uninstall and install those programmes in my device but no resolve
pls if you guys can help. i have been happy with this win mob, even people was telling lot of doubt about win mob, because i found out xda developer, which makes it worth to keep a win mob device in pocket.
