Well, you can downgrade to 2.1 but you won't downgrade the hboot, so you won't be able to root neither or install another ROM. You will have stock 2.1 unrootable.
Be aware of that.
Essentially, you are now stuck with your official 2.2 update. There is nothing you can do now. (Except maybe find someone with an XTC Clip)
my phone is gt-i9500.with 4.3.Knox app doesn't work no longer.the warning is"scanning for knox."what could be wrong?
Hello,
please do not expect ANY response, if you do not provide any information.
What build of 4.3 do you have?
do you have root?
what recovery?
what ROM?
any additions?
What did you change before it happened?
Do I really have to explain that?

You can flash the factory images. Or a custom rom with has been updated to 4.4.2.
Answering your question. NO. You dont need every little update. Most people dont even notice it. Heck , I'm still using 4.3

Thanks for the response mate.
My question is if its even possible to maintain the root access through the update process.
I've heared once of OTA root keeper or something alike ...

Have you tried kingroot? I have successfully rooted my A5 with it, maybe it will also root your A3. And it doesn't tamper you knox which is a good thing.

I'm still running marshmallow 6.0.1(MTC20L) in my Nexus 6p.. I'm so afraid tat I'll too get the bootloop problem to my phone with nougat 7.x .. so I haven't updated and being in 6.0.1 for great battery life.. and stability.. i want to use xposed modules.. so I searched for 6.0.1 Nexus rooting .. but all rooting methods shows for MTC20F(6.0.1) firmware.. not for MTC20L .. IS IT fine to follow same rooting method or anyone else guide me through the rooting process? Please thank yoh
Just flash super su and your good to go, assuming your bootloader unlocked and have custom recovery.
