thx, for answer
it was one of the first guides that was released, i don't remember exactly.
But...if i flash 2.15 right now, do you think, it repairs my problem or i have to flash wp7 once more?
I'll try it and we will see :-/

doubt it, everyone says that 2.15 works really well for faster internet BUT be warned it does drain your battery faster tho. So don't say we didn't warn you about this.

I'm running the LVSW Edition of WM6. I have radio 1.34.00.10 and seems to run fine though not had the OS installed long.
Would like to try radio 1.35.00.11 but cannot seem to download from xda ftp. Can anyone point to another source for this radio rom?
Cheers

Are you trying this site for the ftp (Hermes Uploads)? ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Hermes.
Or this one ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/Extracted_Radio_ROMs/
Both started downloading ok for me.
Why do you want to upgrade from 1.34.00.10 to 1.35.00.11? From what I've read in some of the other threads the only benefit the 1.35 radio has is that it is GPS enabled - not much use because the Hermes is no good for GPS.
I've made the above statements from paraphrasing others because I haven't compared these radios and don't need GPS - so I'll be happy if others correct me.
Maybe a bit of reading (probably lots really ) could save you the time of an un-necessary upgrade - but probably finding the info will take longer than flashing the rom!!!
so your saying that there is no need to upgrade my rom....
There is benefit for me in doing so?

Excuse me, but the Hermes is gooed for GPS. The only thing is that our Hermes-gods are working on an antenna. The antenna is not (yet) connected to the 'GPS-chip'. GPS worls, but there is only a weak signal.

After doing a Hard Flash for the first time from 1.43 to 148 and rebooting my HD2. Within several minutes my reception speed would change from 3G to GPRS and back again while on the go, this has never happen before and was wondering is there a way to have consistent 3G speed/reception or was there a fault during my flash?
Any suggestions or help would most helpful.

Did you flash with SSPL / Gold card or with the HDSPL in-tacked?
EITHER WAY:
Press Phone Key>Options>GSM/UMTS Services:
Here select Band....then, "Get Settings"
The first tab should say GSM. Drop down menu option you want is WCDMA. This will force 3G all the time. However I don't recommend this setting as this will consume more battery.
Leaving it in 2G saves more battery and voice quality doesn't change....
hi,
maybe you flashed the radio part of the rom also, when you flash from 1.43 to 1.48?. im not sure, but you should check out this htc update, and try it. its a replacement for the radio portion of your rom only, and maybe fixing your problems. my singnal strengh has stoped to swing between full and no bars, and i have full bars most of the time, with this update.
regards mad.

Stock Roms include the Radio so if there was a change between one stock and the other then a change will occur...
There is nothing wrong with the radio band switching automatically though so unless you have bad reception, everything should be fine.

ah ok so im in 'the wrong film' . and again i learnd somthing from this great forum.

Just thought I would share my experiences to see if it benefitted others.
I have a Vodafone UK HD2 which came with 1.43ROM.
I used HSPL1 and extracted the NBH from the official WWE 1.66ROM and applied that to my handset and I've tried a couple of radio's and am now on 2.09.51
With the above setup I was getting quite a bit of instability still where I would sometimes have to reset the phone a couple of times a day. Calls would sometimes crash the phone, etc it just seemed buggy and instable but just about useable.
Then I saw HSPL2 and didnt think much of it until the other day when I started to look at it and noticed you could pick different HSPL's and spotted 1.66 in the list. Brain says to me you've got 1.66ROM and 1.42SPL. Back on the Kaiser the wrong SPL with a ROM could make it unstable... I wonder...
So I proceeded to install HSPL2 and selected 1.66HSPL option. Since then (2 1/2 days) my phone has been stable, quick and has not needed a reboot except for once with the data dropout issue (which I reckon is Windows/SenseUI App related).
Also battery life seems to have been extended as well.
Its like a completely different handset to me as I was started to get frustrated with it before this but now I am happy again.
Any comments are welcome.
Hi,
It's Darrin from the VF forum, interested to try the 1.66 HSPL, can you plop it ontop of the the existing one, or do you have to re-install everything from scratch?
Any chance you can point me in the right direction?
Cheers
Darrrin
sounds interesting thanks for the post starfury
makes sense aswell
at the end of the day youve always been booting a phone with a 1.66 system with a bootloader made for a different system.
i would try this right now but im using my warranty rights for an exchange atm but will try soon =]
thanks!

yes you can change spl and it won't affect your rom. download hspl 2 from rom development section, run it as administrator and choose which spl to instal.(choose one with hspl not 0000 of course)
I've been running without HSDPA for a little bit and recently switched it back on and the device locked up twice in a matter of hours. Switched it off again and its fine again.
I cant imagine that Vodafone UK havent implemented HSDPA properly so maybe there is an issue with the HSDPA protocol in the firmware?

How is that even relevant to the thread?
Hi Guys I have a little a problem with all ROM that I tested (cotulla and Prj Clean and one another that I don't remember) and I don't found a way to solve it.
My data connection is unstable... Sometime work very good but in a few minute doesn't work even if the network coverage is high. When doesn't work I seen on display that only the "transmit arrow" below the "H or 3g" blink. Tha connection sometime restore it functionality.
With windows mobile everything work good.
I have:
HSPL 2.08
Radio 2.15.50.14 But I try also with other Radio
Vodafone ITA
Any advice?
thanks, I'm getting crazy

I wouldn't be so quick to say that RMNET is perfect as with me I find that it drops the connection a lot and often will not resolve a connection!
I haven't tried PPP since my last SD build so I can't tell if it's still as bad but it was quite bad back then.

cotulla stock build use rmnet I thought....
Any advice? This morning I tried MDJ_FroYo_Revolution_v._2.3 data was working for 5 hours and then drop down... and now nothing or very very slow....
I have the same problem too using Hyperdroid and MDJ Gingerbread. It works fine for a day and the next day in the afternoon the data would be lost. I mean no data whatsoever, not data drops like in SD builds. I can't see any G/E/3G/H symbol.

Yeah that's been my experience too. In fact RMNET caused me to have so many screen freezes I had to revert back to PPP as the lesser of two evils. I guess this is the penalty for running Android on a non-native device I never experienced flawless data yet on any bulid be it SD, RAM whatever.

It's the only reason why I'm thinking about moving to a Nexus S - the data drops on this device are just not fun! I love my HD2 though, so I'll not sell it.
This problem has been here since day 1 with Android - but I'm not complaining as i haven't done any work with this, so I'll put up with what I'm given by the devs!
Hi,
Im having problems with my HD2 signal. The problem is that it searches for my provider on startup for about 2 minutes and gets max 1 to 2 bars only on the second floor of my house, although when it has a connection it has 3G. Its mostly at no connection.
I have a second HD2 aswell and that is running okey even in the basement.
No warranty, so no point of suggesting that.
Ive flashed many differents roms and radios, didnt help.
Any suggestions I should try?
Where is the internal antenna located of this phone?
Thanks in advance!
try swopping sims to see ifs its the sim, assuming they are both on the same network
If not swop out the sim with one thats compatable
Naah, its not the problem of the sim, because one of the hd2 works perfect with my sim and the other doesnt with the same sim. So if the second one doesnt have a grudge against my sim then it should not be a problem of the Sim. Thanks for the advice although!
The question im quite interested at is where is the internal antenna of the HD2, I would like to check the connections.
It's a know problem with many HD2's i think some sort of bug in android. Switch to 2G network only in the settings and ull have full reception all the time.
Try to remove the battery over night, and then reflash with Radio-ROM and OS-ROM of your choice.
worked for me, no signal issues since I did this.
Soz, wrong theard :/

You can flash a different radio version just like you flash other stuff. Be careful and read the directions though because you can brick the device doing a radio flash.
Go to your phone settings and "about phone" and you should find your radio version. Most of us use 2.15.50.14.
Click here for the HTC HD2 Master Radio Thread
Read and find out what might be best to use for your carrier and or location. I used 2.15.50.14 because it was recommended by TMOUS users which I am. Some people test different radios and see which seems to work best for them.
-Edit-
The radio controls stuff like your carrier signal, bluetooth, wifi, etc.
thanks i updated to 2.15.50.14 but im still having this problem . idk what else to try
Having some trouble with that also. So, the steps are:
Reflash Radio, than android and see if it works?
If it doesn't, anybody knows the best Radio for brazilian carriers? (Mine is Oi Santa Catarina)
Thanx.
