you can have wp7 on nand and have one sd card assigned to it and you can boot andoid from another sd card, so you have to switch sd cards if you want to boot one or another.

Hi,
I have a question which need some advise. I am currently dual booting wp7 and android sd build. I use magldr to select boot from sd whenever i wanna use android. Btw, I swap btw 2 sd cards, 8gb each , one for wp7 and one for android.
I happened to find a spare sd card 8gb class 4 and thought would like to replace the android sd card which is only class 2, in hope of faster speed. I copied all the files from old sd card to the new class 4 and tries to boot via magldr as usual. However, i encounter this error which says kernel sd fails and thus cant boot. I insert old card back and it boots as normal.
So my question is does magldr recognises the new sd card and thus do not allow me to boot with the new sd card? Anyone knows and can advise ? Thanks
Btw, using mdj hd4.6 w/ wp7. 2.25 radio and magldr 1.12. thanks !!!

wp7 make a partition on your sd card using the whole thing. correct?
can you make it so when you install wp7 it only uses 8gb partion on SD card?
Then I would be able to boot ad from sd or ubuntu.
the only tutorial on how to dual boot wp7 and AD, you need a 8gb sd card. I have two 16gb SD cards
Any answers would be helpful
Thanks
i also dont have a sd card reader on my computer

There are a couple tutorials for partitioning your sd card to dualboot wp7 and android. There's a thread in this section and another thread in the hd2 android sd dev section. If the tutorials use a 8gb card as example, it doesn't mean you can't use any other size. I have a 32gb card partitioned.
And you can use magldr in mass storage mode as a card reader, but it will sometimes corrupt the file or card, so if you have no other card reader, use magldr, but if you can use a card reader, I'd go that way.
I had WP7 on my HD2, but I flashed the stock WM6.5 rom cause i got bored of WP7. But now on WM6.5 i cant see my SD Card. I read somewhere that your suppose to format your SD card after the flash. But it wont even show up on my phone. What should i do?
Format it using a microsd to SD card converter in your pc or use a camera

Use the free Panasonic SD Formatter Tool
Set options to FULL ERASE and size adjustment ON
I have tried installing a wm7 rom on my hd2 but it kept on rebooting.
I belive that may have been down to incomaptibility of my SD card, a trancend 16GB Micro SDHC class 6. So I tried a Sandik 2GB micro SD. That seemed to get further but locked up before the splash screen.
I have since tried to reformat the SD cards but can't get them to show up in a card reader on 3 different machines.
I have flashed the HD2 back to a stock rom and ot also doesn't see the sd card.
As I can't get a windows or a Linux machine to see them I am at a loss as to how I can get them back.
Have I ruined them or is there any way I can get them back to life?
Any ideas appreciated.
Download a partition manager and wipe all the partitions on your card. then format to whatever you like

Thanks for the idea nitro,
Sadly the cards don't show up in a partition manager either
So no partitions to delete
Think I may have screwed them completely
Anyone have any idea what has happened to these cards?
I'm not familiar with WP7 (That's why I tried to flash it).
I understand WP7 encrypts the sd card?
Is that why I can't see it under another OS?
If so is there any way to recover?

Hi;
I use WP7 on my HTC HD2.
Also I use SD Android and i start android from magldr.
When i want to install SD android on my "HP 16 GB Class 10 micro SD card" , i have installing problem.
While installing it freezes. I can't finish installing.
I don't see main screen.
But when i install same android rom on 2 GB micro SD card , there isn't any installing problem.
It runs perfectly.
Why does this problem occur on 16 GB Class 10 HP micro SD card?
Thanks a lot...
first of all this should be in the Q&A section.
is your SD card formatted to run dual boot? was the 2nd partition for Android set to Primary? also you don't install SD ROM, you just copy it to your SD & set magldr to run AD from SD

If you are dual booting you should have two partions. The android partions should be fat32 32kb cluster size and both partions should be set to primary.
