ITS DONE AND DUSTED , I USED THE LINUX LIVE CD AND IT HAS WORKED.
Im tring to root my wildfire with unrevoked3 but it just says "pushing recovery image" and has been like that for 10mins, how long should it take?
Also before trying this I tried to install clockwork recovery with Rom manger only for it to reboot into recovery and quickly install maybe 25% then show a phone with a big red question mark then it reboots.
Also if I try to boot into recovery manualy I get a phone with a red triangle and a ! in it.
How can I fix the recovery?
in rom manager it says current recovery: clockwork mod 2.5.0.1
latest recovery: clockwork mod 2.5.0.1
Really need help , I want to jailbreak my ps3 , will donate if a DEV helps me.

Hello i'm having difficulties in upgrading to MAGLDR1.12 form MAGLDR1.11 because i can't sync my device in gingerbread.
Is there any other way doing that ?
You have to enter the bootloader mode to upgrade magldr. Restart your hd2, and hold down vol down while booting. You will se the hspl tri colour bootloader screen. Now your windows can connect and upgrade magldr. Just like you flashed it initially...

Thanks guys, however i'm aware of that possibility so it doesn't matter because i wan't to upgrade the ROM anyhow.
It did for me, i think it is because magldr lies before the OS.

i cant find the thread anymore, but im sure magldr 1.12 is only for WP7. u can use it with android but there is nothing added for android. wait for 1.13
How do I get the phone to create an active sync with my computer if I already have MAGLDR 1.11 installed? I boot the phone into the bootloader with the multicolor screen, but windows mobile device center does not see it.
Thanks!

Yep - there's absolutely no need to install Magldr 1.12 unless you want WP7.

Bootloader is a way and in my opinion a better and faster way to flash things like roms, splash screens,magldr,radios,Task29. there is no need to sync anything just click the CustomRUU or RomUpdateUtility and flash away.
nice i like that
Hi
This may sound like a weird request, but I want to brick my hd2. Currently it has Magldr 1.13 on it, but it wont go into the bootloader (tri color screen) no matter what. I have tried all the button variations (vlume down+power etc etc) but to no avail. So I want to know a way that I can brick my phone WITHIN magldr so it wont even turn on. That way, I can send it into tmobile for a replacement. Please help me without bashing, flaming, etc. Thanks!
Where you holding down the volume button while pressing the power button?

This happened to me and it was driving me crazy. You have a corrupted bootloader you need to keep trying to take the battery and hold volume down with power until you get the bootloader(i did it like 100 times at least)then you flash any windows rom(kumars did it for me) this will fix you bootloader. Also make sure the battery teeth are even.
i would of thought it was near impossible to brick a HD2,Your more likely to brick a normal android phone than this but just an idea, how about flashing an actual Desire HD rom(not port) itle have the wrong drivers so in theory it should bugger it up

ur so ****ed.
what about task29
Connect your phone to your computer via usb flash drive, then run the custom ruu for a T-Mobile version winnow rom only, then flash the wrong radiio.
Edit: did not realize you need to be in boot loader to flash radio, forgot.
Flash a Leo512 only winmo rom. Or even leo512 only android rom if you can find one.

Hi,
ROM MANAGER only works with clk.
If you used it with magldr it is probably messed up.
You need to re-install magldr to get back to normal.

Just install a MAGLDR Rom and you will be fine... no need to do anything else.
ROMs in ROM manager are only compatible with cLK for now. The reason you got error when booting is because MAGLDR Roms use different /boot partition file system than cLK.
If you need do a backup from CWM and after flashing the new ROM go advance restore and select only data.img
I am trying to say your data weren't lost and you will not loose them after flashing new rom

That sucks! But on a good note, when you do re-install your rom and boot for the first time, sign in after touching that little green friend and google will re-install all your apps (without data thou) as long as you had auto sync on, that is,,,,

I don't USE MAGLDR and i don't know if this will work but you can try to delete all lines from CWM flash.cfg except the one where is recovery-raw.img and try flashing CWM from pc.
possible with a fix, or I have to reinstall/reformat everything?

Try doing a factory reset on the phone. Get into the bootloader by holding the volume down button and then holding down the power button simultaneously. Use the volume up/down button to highlight factory reset, then to select press the power button
I did it and 3 android dudes with skate boards are on the screen for like 3 hours no exactution
Which version of the stock rom are you using. Is it 2.2.1 or 2.3.4 ?
If you can't get the factory reset, I will give the stock rom . Do update using hboot.

were you running 2.2.1 or 2.3.4 when it happened?
or
can you tell us the hBoot version you have
it will be loacated at the top of that screen with listed some like .xx.yyyy
If this happen post the update i would exchange it under warranty as you might have a bad eMMC chip and something failed in the writing process.
I'm running HBOOT-0.86.0000, When it happened i was running stock because it hasnt been updated sence i had the phone. My factory reset wont proceed with the prgress bars t-moblie i should have.

eMMC is a chip that stores information, a chip that you can write to.
Well lets hope that's not the case. How cam I get a copies of the stock Rom and try to install it?

Given you are on the .85 or .86 hBoot.
Download THIS FILE . leave it zipped up, and store it on the root of your SDcard.
power down the phone, pull the battery if needed. Then power on the phone holding down the power button and the volume down rocker. Once it boot select "bootloader". It will scan the SdCard for the file then prompt you to update the file.
But when I start up the phone and enter the prompte screen it scans the SD card automatically is that suppose to happen?

yes. if SDcard is in the device bootloader will automatically scan for the PD151IMG.zip file.
