I am currently running HD2Froyo v1 and love it. There are a few apps that I am trying to find that aren't showing up in the market. One such app is the game Let's Golf by Gameloft. I read on Gamelofts website that it is for the Nexus One and EVO, does this mean that it won't show up in the market unless you are using one of those phones? Is there a way to trick the market into thinking that our phone is a Nexus One instead?
I see that there is the option to buy this game directly from Gameloft but I worry about knowing about updates to the app if purchased that way.

PS I searched around and found that plenty of people have the game installed but didn't find anybody sharing any legitimate means of installing the game.
You have to edit the build.prop to have the same information as the Nexus Ones's build.prop, Darkstone's HD2Froyo is based off the Desire and not the Nexus, which imo kinda sucks.
But the build.prop is located in /system/build.prop

I had an app called market enabler in some build I had. Just launched it once to take a look at it, so I don't know if it will solve your problem. There you could change the country etc. so perhaps you should give it a go.

How can noob edit build.prop? Can it be done via DroidExplorer? What plug-in is needed.
Will this also allow for device id to be changed from nexus one to T-Mobile_LEO? any links u can provide, would b greatly appreciated! Thnx!
If you use the shubcraft build your phone name will be HTC HD2 in the about page in settings.
i wondered the same thing.i figured a market is a market..no matter what phone name it may be..i figure android is still android..but a few builds ago i think one of them came with that super mario live wallpaper and when i downloaded another build,it didn't have the wallpaper but i found it in the market for free. now, i don't see it at all.did they discontinue it or something?

I work in an exercise referral setting dealing with clients with various different ailments and I'm looking for an app that might give me a greater insight into these conditions. It will be a medical one I'm guessing and I already have a pharmological one for the medication.
Any ideas would be great

Can't give you any suggestion on the medical side of the question but, if you find any of the many Stardict reference Dictionaries available (check @ stardict.sourceforge.net where you can find titles as Medciclopedia, Pharmaceutical terms, Dictionary of Medicine) to be of some use you can install them.
There's an app called Colordict in the market with just 6 available dictionaries but, in fact, this app reads any Stardict Dictionary.
Just download it (it's a TAR compressed file), extract the files* and copy them to \\sdcard\dictdata\
*must also decompress the XXX.dict.dz file to XXX.dict befor copying to sd (use wingz).
hello there, i am medical student and new to android, i was wondering if i can get all apps for medicine like for IOS, my friend uses a jailbroken iphone and is enjoying all these apps for free which otherwise would have costed him more then 400+ USD..
is there a similar thing in android ? or i do need to buy all apps .. ?
$150 + for apps .. i cannot afford that .. little too high for me . .
I have been wondering, after flashing custom roms, will i have a chance to lose my premium navigation licence which perhaps i purchased or entered the voucher code which i get from the box?
To those who used the voucher or purchased, did u lose the licence or it will sync back in the licence? Where is the licence stored btw, in ur phone or on server according to imei?
And also, for the premium navigation voucher code, is it lifetime or dated?

I recently flashed my first custom rom, wiping everything before. Didn't sync anything back, still the premium navigation is working fine (30 days test license). On the first run it will pop up the usual activation screen, so I suspect the license is saved on a server and bound to your IMEI.
I was on my 2nd 30 day trial yesterday, before my first trial expired I flashed my phone back to stock with a RUU (1.32) and I got to activate premium navigation for another 30 days, however when i upgraded locations today it removed the 2nd license
The licence is bound to you IMEI. If you ever send your phone in to htc make sure you record your imei first. If they replace the handset they will need both the old and new imei to transfer the licence.

Not everyone gets one. Its a promotional code and comes as an extra from certain carriers and resellers. Kinda like some stores will throw in a free car charge and deals along those lines.

Damn, that’s disappointing. I just flashed Revolution HD and formatted SD card and when I synced my license it changed my Navigation License expiry again, probably the DRM ID on the key must have to match the phone or something like that is stopping it. maybe just copy the time and grace values in to your current key then sync? I'm just guessing...
EDIT:
I was comparing my old phone.dat with my new one and I noticed a couple of things that might help. the first was that they have since done a version upgrade of locations and I don't know if that fixed anything, the second was after i had entered in my random values to the key, when I synced the license it reset all of the values back in my phone.dat to default but I now have 2 keys instead of one
Here is my experience. In my case my DHD came with a voucher license for one free navigation. I activate it and an email was send to my email stating tht i have one "Perpetual license" of the country i choose to my phone IMEI.
Just recently, i 'root' my phone, format my mSD so that i can create EXT3 partition and flash a custom rom. I do a full wipe for the flash. I have to download again the maps tht i need but the moment i request for navigation, the program gave me 3 options, Buy, Voucher or Sync License. I choose Sync License, and i got back my navigation for my country.

I find this rather strange. When I got my phone in November the phone part in premium navigation didn't work, after a reboot it worked and has ever since. The premium navigationhas worked almost daily ever since. I've not activated or put any codes / purchased any licences. Have I missed something or am I just lucky?

AFAIK you can onli flash sense-based ROMs like android Revolution ROM though to enjoy the htc navigation.
aggghhh, spoke too soon, it went to 30day trial today, not bad i suppose ive been using it since begining of november.
i dont think i will purchase when it runs out - having no postcode search is the deal breaker tbh
I think premium navigation doesn't reserve any paid from me. Should wait for google navigation come to my country..

sorry to dig up a old thread. I can't seem to find the option to activate 30days free license on my desire s. Im on dhd leedroid port. On stock I still couldn't activate my free trial license. I go on menu, etc license but it does nothig. Anyone, help pls!!

Hi, I have the premium key for carpanel. But after I rooted my phone, I noticed that custom ROMs are not installed with it. Is there anyway we can get the APK so I can at least activate with my own key?
i'm not asking for a crack version. just the original one so I can install it back on.

Hi, apologies for reviving this thread, but was looking to put on a custom ROM to my HTC Vision, and the topic of this thread is what is holding me off until now since I paid fifty euro for my permanent premium navigation
So after reading all the posts in this thread, can I safely assume that as long as I flash a ROM which also contains Sense, I will be able to keep my premium navigation?

Hey everyone.
I have had my Omnia 7 since a while and never had a problem.
I just got in Sydney like a week ago and since then I seem to have problems with the marketplace
Looks like I can't update my apps and when I remove them I can't install them
There is no error message - if I pick a app and wait for the install or biy button to show up, nothing happens
The marketplace a buy the apps from is Austria - it does work well in China just here in Australia it seems to have troubles.
Anyone has similar expiriance?

Tried but its not working.
I just recall that I did actually install a new app while I was in Australia. So actually its just not working in the past 2-3 days
