Not sure if anyone noticed this. When the phone is charged above 90% and the green LED is on, the mineral glass of the xperia shines green in a dark room... here are some pictures I took.

A feature unique to us
lol didn't notice that before
Mine doesn't.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
you probably have the white one?i have the black one, nonetheless, that is an amazing feature by our x10, haha.
I think only white X10s got this unintended cosmetic feature... Whats funny is that I would've never noticed if it wasn't for that lovely kush I enjoyed last night.
Green shine just for the irony lol
Yeah, I have black X10 and this feature is not included
I noticed that also linger time ago. Mine is white.

Wow this is awesomeee.
Never noticed it.
My white x10 is charging at 63% right I can't wait lol
I love xda app on my Xperia X10i phone =D
Ugh now I want the white X10 now Lol just for that feature
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
My cousin will buy an x10 today only for this feature
Yep, it's exclusively white.. Reason why sometimes I overcharged..
It is also good looking with the old Donut "New Message LED" which blinks less furiously then it is now..
Wah..thats great..anyway im using x10 black...
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
its only becuase the digitizer is white so the light reflects through the glass as with the black one it doesnt let any light through. It does this with any led not only over 90%. Get a text at night and it will shine like that while blinking.

seriously waiting for the answer
Looks nice enough but i wouldn't want one over my black one, what i would love though is a nice silver chrome plated GS2 that would be seriously smart.
Looks like the battery cover is smooth doesnt have the same texture as the black one. Also, the official Samsung 2000mah battery only come in black as of now

a very very bright white, alot brighter than my black gs2's
and yep the back is super smooth white.
button lights.... very bright indeed
As nice as it may look, white looks absolutely horrendous to me. No offence.

Hmmm i would have loved it if they made them blink with a blue backlight, but it's still nice. At least the back cover won't become grayish when the finishing will be worn, at a guess...my black one suffers from that a little, and take into account that my phone lives in a full body case 90% of the time

No offence but i prefer black, simply because the screen and proximity and camera looks odd on a white front. Looks more "out there" where as black looks stealth...

I think it's too early to make such assumptions, you have no idea how it would wear, if it wears at all
heres a side by side of my epic 4g and my e4gt.. both screens are at the full brightness, and the e4gt is in normal mode.. as you can seethe touch isnt "that" much bigger in comparison. but its a hellovalot slimmer. you cant really see it in th e pictures but the og epic has a blueish tint to it compared to the touch.

Great pics. The one that stands out the most to me is the one of the screens. How does the resolution compare?

the resolution looks pretty much the same honestly.. which is a good thing considering how much bigger the screen is.. i also forgot to mention that the touch has a screen protector and the og doesnt. so im sure the touch looks a little better with the protector off. i put on the protector before i even put the battery in lol..
i want one
Now post one with the keyboards visible on both of them.
The buttons below the screen don't light up?

hhaha.. good one.. honestly this is my first non keyboard phone ( since my htc touch ) and i thought i was going to miss it but this screen is so big that typing on this is actually easier than the crappy physical keyboard that was on the epic. especially with the keyboard for android app from the market.. and yes the buttons light up. i had it set to turn of every second and a half..
Nice pics

So I Know everyone has seen the red frame near the battery door, but I decided to swap the back cover completely with a white evo.
I think it looks awesome, but it was a pain to get the little metal connectors off the black housing and onto the white.

One of my coworkers did the same with their Evo, looks pretty awesome.
The white housing's paint can also be easily scratched off to make it red. The white battery cover isn't paint though so it stays white.

Try calling a sprint repair store and ask to see if they will change at no cost. I know some stores will do that of they have the parts

Hello Guys!
I bought a Desire HD in December 2010 as my first Android Phone and also my first Smartphone. I was very happy with it and i fell in love with Android.
Sometime later after i checked out neary all Apps on the Android Market I got bored and decided to root my DHD. After The successful rooting the whole World of Android was open. I landed immidiatly here at XDA where all the cool magic happens. I flashed always buggyer things and got a fashmatic (you know what I mean). I have to say a big thanks to all devs of the Desire HD Forum who worked hard and still do for bringing us the best and the newest roms.
Also the flashing and stuff was normal I saw a thred with the chromed DHD. I was amazed and after a few month i did it but only with the frame. It was really nice and meany friends asked me if I had a new phone
Then after a few weeks i talked with a frend whose father could make a powder coating and I panted it in Orange. And now finally thats the result and i think its really nice
Now I have to share with you a few picture of the mod. All is working exept the Volume button i have to grind there the case a bit that he fitts.
enjoy

Why didn't you paint over the black plastic covers too? Also what kind of paint did you use and how did you do it?

Wow, that looks great. Cool idea you had
Paint and sell the parts for other people - I would buy it
That's excellent work there
I take it you took the phone apart to just get the aluminium case done?

The pic doesn't really give off the true color, I noticed these new "pearl" colors are hard to judge just by a mockup, get the real feel when you see it live.
But I'm still with you all, I don't think it's gonna be a great choice for me, not my taste..
Isn't this the Photoshop mock up posted on the other thread??? I believe it is.

Am I the only one who thinks red looks somewhat nice?...
"All this knowledge is giving me a major brainer!"
Looks like a pretty obvious and badly done mockup if you ask me..you can pull this off with a few sliders and what not. Lol.
Look at the status/notification bar. It took on a red tint..so yeah, obviously edited. It's not the real thing. Just something quickly made in Photoshop or whatever.
I'm not hating on the possibility of a red GSIII. It might actually look good..I can imagine a metallic crimson (dark red) or something would be appealing to some people. I've seen phones with that kind of color in real life and they do look pretty nice.. If it were a plastic-y red though then that might make it look just awful
haha while the pic was loading, I read all the replies, and I was wondering how eww it could be, but i get it.. it's ewww.
They should go with pink color instead
