Basically I want to be on home screen 1 and click a shortcut that will take me to homescreen 2 and vise versa.
Is this possible?
Thanks.
you can do it with LauncherPro Plus...
Example:
Code:
<LPShortcut sdkVersion="1"
label="Screen 1"
action="android.intent.action.MAIN"
package="com.fede.launcher"
class="com.fede.launcher.Launcher"
>
<Extra type="integer" name="com.fede.launcher.extra.SCREEN" value="1" />
</LPShortcut>
Create a new txt document on the computer called screen1.lps and open with notepad, and copy that code into the new document.
Then I think you need to copy that lps file to /sdcard/lpshortcuts/ (create the dir if you need)
The above is just an example though....
So it is not possible to do this in ADW or ADW EX?
not sure....never really tried either ADW or ADW Ex
Thanks very much for the info. Unfortunately after using LPP for several months I recently moved everything over to ADW EX to try something new.
I hope I can find similar functionality in ADW Ex.
that code will send you to screen 1 only right? im gona look at this xD
You can do it with ADW and ADW EX.

I was wondering if there was a way to remove the words for the icons, so it would just say the app instead of the program but just the icon.
I have been missing around with different Home Screen launchers and you can do it with LauncherPro. Not sure what you are using though.
Possible with ADW as well. You can also use desktop visualizer.
i downloaded desktop vis. my only question is how would i go about changing it, do i need to customize my own desktop icons? or is there another way? thanks!

Use ADW Launcher EX! Blows the stock launcher out of the water and you can set that too. And it's smooooooth and fast too.

When you install ADW launcher and press on "home" a box should appear in the center of the screen saying whether you want to launch "Launcher" or "ADW Launcher EX"... select the Always do this and ADW Launcher EX.
If you want to reset it: go into settings -> applications -> manage applications -> find adw launcher ex -> clear defaults
Under "Launch by Default", ADW says "no defaults set". Do I have to reinstall? When I hit the "home" button, the TF takes me to the stock launcher.
EDIT: reinstalled, same problem.
EDIT: Found "Launcher" under the "All" tab and cleared that. Fixed.

You could use desktop visualizer to kind of create icons, where you can choose the icon for application and so on...just take a look at it

Interesting, i have checked it out,going to play with it later (The app!) Then report back.Looks good though,cheers mate
This feature really should be included in sense,very time consuming having to use the app just to remove the text from under the icon.

Yup, using an alternate launcher in my opinion is the easiest way. There are plenty of themes available, and you can also change individual app icons very easily. I use Go Launcher Ex. It has some really cool transition animations.

I totally agree, HTC, must realise that ALOT of their customers want to tweek Sense more than they currently allow, so they eventually turn to other launchers.
Causing negative feelings towards Sense... as stable as it is!
I also prefer Go Launcher Ex for this, because not only does it allow Icons to be easily changed, but also renaming of apps.
I hate to see names cut off on the homescreen so I change them - for example
Tune In Radio is cut to Tune In... - so I change it to 'Radio'
One solution could be with Folder Organizer App. In Folder Organizer create a shortcut of app you want and simply change the icon. Afther that go to home, add, shortcut, Folder Organizer Item, shortcuts and select the one you created.
Is this even possible?
I have read a wiki from adw but there is no such info there
the stuff that I want to do is that I dont want to have any desktop, when I press back I want to see the app launcher with all of its apps and when I unlock the phone I dont want to see the wallpaper/desktop I just want to have the app list
I know there are orhter launchers that can do so, but Is this possible with adw launcher?
ty
It isn't possible with ADW or ADW EX
You can install a launcher that offers this feature and delete ADW with an app like titanium
But i guess Miui would be better for you
I can't reach to change the name and image of apps
Is there a way?
Thank you very much.
Yes use a custom launcher like Nova

If you feel confident in your editing skills you edit the app name and image, yourself.

As blue said.
Using nova is your least techy way to do it.
