Hi to you people, sorry for bad english...
My problem is that my bluetooth dos'not working anymore, i cant turn it on, when i go into device information it says that bluetooth is EDR2.0 and address of bluetooth is none. Is my bluetooth dead or this is some software problem? I have new miri ROM, try other, nothing, bluetooth dos'n have the address. HELP ME PLESAEEEEE. :-(
Is there anything new about this issue?
Until every device has the same bluetooth mac I have a problem with my parrot car kit (I have a HD2 and my wife too).
Any solution right now to chance the mac adress?
Or is anyone working on this problem???
I've looked everywhere on this forum and all around for a definitive answer as to why the HD2 + Android results in the HD2 only having a generic Bluetooth MAC address.
This causes problems such as pairing with other devices that use a generic address and also stops some Apps ( Wireless Tether in Bluetooth PAN mode) working.
There doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere? Is it due to the flashing of MAGLDR or ??
As far as i can tell this is the last hurdle with regards to android + the HD2 now that the bluetooth drain has been fixed and tytung has gotten 2-way call recording working as well.
Please guys any ideas on a fix? I'd be totally willing to donate to the fixer!

Hello,
anyone knows how to make the HTC Blackstone "look like" another telephone (in my case, a Motorola V3) when seen by Bluetooth devices?
I have a Mercedes Comand UHI telephone cradle with SAP for Motorola V3, that works even without physical connection to the telephone by Bluetooth pairing, but obviously when you attempt to pair it with another telephone it prevents you from doing this.
Is it possible to "copy" the Bluetooth device name of a V3 to the Blackstone?
Actually, I'm not very glad to give 280 extra euros to Mercedes for a more compliant BT cradle
Thanks!
the question is, how does the car know, what phone is trying to pair?
is it locked to 1 motorola v3, then it is probably the mac address.
you could try and simply try another bluetooth device name, but i doubt it would be that simple (since, on the one hand, everybody knows how to do that with any phone and on the other hand, changing a v3's name would stop it from being compatible).
and changing the actual bluetooth pairing id to make it appear as another phone type is (if possible) not only very hard to do, but also probably an fcc violation.
so instead, you should have a look, whether you can do something about the car part of this issue, probably, there are other people out there with a similar issue, that have any incompatible phone, probably more than there are in the blackstone section here.
The car knows what telephone you are trying to pair with probably by somehow reading from bluetooth the "model name" that you can read in "device information>identity" (I'm sorry if they aren't correct, I have the Italian software so I don't really knows how that menus are translated).
The MAC address is not important, you can pair any number of phones as long as they are V3!
Hi all,
I have been playing with this ROM since November 2011. currently teamhacksung on 6.0/6.1 (fascinate rom)
I have read and read and never had a need to post until now.
I have done both my fascinate and my GF fascinate. the problem is that we have a 2010 KIA forte and the Bluetooth will only pair one of our phone when we try to pair the other it overwrites the first phone.
this worked fine until i put it on both phones.
After further investigation I found out that the Bluetooth Mac address on both of our phones are the same. 43:29:b1:55:00:00
Is this address hard coded in this ROM and is there any thing we can do to change it. I can't believe that I am the first to discover this.
I have had several person tell me that the mac address is the same on all roms.
Main question How do I permanently change the mac address of the bluetooth on my phone?
