and dont show me new updates when i click to check for it...
so guys plss can some of you post me here a step by step tutorial what should i do
to get my phone running on froyo or gingerbread if its possible
ty in advanced
confused android user
There's already plenty of tutorials in Development / stickies, some are not stickied, so you might have to search a bit...
As for the update, best way for you check few ROMs and install via ROM manager since you are rooted... B0.7 is particulary good one
ok i manager to install cyanogenmod 6.1 on my legend works great
btw why i cant login my acc on XDA app in phone?
you can go to the market and download Rom Manager... my preferred way in managing rom. it can download rom too ;-), if you found new rom that you want to test other than the ones found in Rom Manager. download it and put it on the root of your sd card so that its easy to look for.
eg. Blay0's B 0.7 rom found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866849
or
CM7 from here. http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=legend
and remember to Wipe Data and Cache if its a new ROM to avoid boot loop.
you can then use "Manage and Restore Backups" to jump between roms that you've backup or rename them to not get mix-up...
Have fun ^^

T-Mobile HTC HD2 with Android - I wonna change it to WM6.5.x.

Greetings.
I just bought an used T-Mobile USA HTC HD2 with an Android rom, but I want to replace it with a stable/fast/good touchflo3D WM6.5.x rom (and perhaps to add Android in the microSD card, with Dual Boot on welcome screen).
What's the proccess to do that? What utilities I need to install in both PC & Leo?
Is there any step-by-step guide for flashing after an Android flashed rom?
Regards,
R.
Hey,
search around in de Forum and you'll find the answers.
You just have to flash the WinMo Rom you like. A cooked from here or an official from HTC.
Then choose the Android you like from the "Android for SD" section and follow the instructions.
Thats it
Windows here http://www.htc.com/sea/supportdownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=854 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=980
Andoird here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735
Just read the Sticky threads

My friend..., I'm not "green" with WinMo mobiles. OF COURSE I should read the threads; but I'm asking to guide me up to the proper proccess - because it's ALREADY flashed my phone (with Android rom) and I know there is a specific proccess to do so.
you'll find all answers in the specific secitions! Flashing WinMo/Andoird for Noobs and so on!
Do your Homework and get the A
Jobe Done (sorry, I'm keep... telling OMNIA quotes! Hahaha)...
I removed (thk God!) the Android and I have an OMEGA (Alexander) great WM6.5 rom!
Thk you all.

[Q] Haven't been on XDA for a while :( few questions

Hey guys I got a few questions,
1. Well its been a long time since I installed an android ROM on my HD2 so I have no idea what i installed at all. Is there any way finding out ?
2. Are there any new programs/new things that should be installed on an HD2
3. Any thing else you reccomend ?
4. How can i remove everything safely from the android rom i have and the bootloader i have.
5. Are there any good Gingerbread ROMS thats well maintained and has sense or thats actually pretty popular ?
6. Any things you might think i might need to know ? Because last time i logged in XDA was like January and alot probably has changed....
From what I know:
Android ROM version: 2011/02/02 gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v1.5
Bootloader?: by cotulla AMGLDR V1.3
I forgot how to use everything etc etc . Please kindly help me
EDIT: Umm, If possible are there any good stock roms or closest to being a stock ?
Well, for number 1 for me under settings>about phone>mod version it tells me that I am using 'Cope and WarrenB's AmeriCanAndroid', but dunno about the rest. Maybe you should search the forums for gpc_hd2_gingerbread and see what results you find.
I think you can find the answers for you questions in my thread, check it out
thanks if i want to clear everything, even the bootloader how? do i just use the task 29 method where you put a stock rom on the sd card and hold the down volume while on boot ?
IMHO you don't need to do a task29. Just make sure you have the correct Clockwork partition layout for the ROM you are installing (it will be mentioned in the ROM's thread).
If you are looking out for a new ROM, I really suggest you take a look at Typhoon's ROM here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
It needs a 150M System partition and 5M cache partition.

(Q) Install Rom On Nand Is Simple Or What !?

Hi .. I;ll buy An HD2 next Month But Is Installing Roms On It Simple Like My VodaFone 858 From CWm ?! Or I Need a Pc and Flash The Rom And kernel ?! i've rread All Guides But I Cant understand How To Install An Android Rom With CWm Only ! Any help Or Simplified Guide ?!
at first it's really kinda confusing but after when you do the procedure it's really not that hard.
of-course you'll need a PC to connect the phone & Flash the ROM & some other stuff.
his also trying to flash WP7 ROM via Magldr (bootloader) but you can decide either Android or WP7 or Both. It's a good phone to get specially if the price is right
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1618353
Yes you install ROMs via CWM if you are running Android from NAND. The HD2 even has a TWPRecovery too. Everything flashes via recovery that is everything that is part of the Android OS. Just to answer your questions.
Oki nw its easy to install cwm and.the boot loader and flash tha radio or what ? Sry for my selly q.

[QUESTION] Installing ICS after WP7

Hi guys!
I searched the forum but i dont found the answer, then I would like your help!
My HD2 is running WP7Tango, and I would like to switch to the ROM NEXUS ICS, I tested the SD version and like it!!
Can anyone instruct me on what is the correct process to install Android on my phone already has WP7?
Thank you!
Wrong Forum. This should be in Q&A.
- Do task29
- install Magldr/Clk
- @Magldr -> install Cwm
- install Rom
There are enough tutorials here on xda which describe this process as precisely as possible.
If you spent at least 20 seconds on searching yourself, you would have found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
wrong thread..
but here you are
Flashing Your First HD2 NAND Android Rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
HD2 NAND Toolkit - Toolkit for HD2 Users
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Actually a wiser approach would be:
Task29
Install WinMo6.5 ROM + Radio
Install CLK/MagLDR + Recovery
Flash ROM
To the OP, here you go. Plenty of answers above. Thread moved and locked.
