Hi everyone !
I'd like to hear your from you guys how you solved the battery life-problem, my phone is from 100%-0% in 6 hours. I'm looking for some information: like what I should do ? I see scripts to improve, but in order to complete the scripts I need to wipe my mobile and I dont like doing that.
Send me a reply . Thanks in advance !
Niels

I do things like:
-Change the kernel (using Lord Clockans sense kernel.)
-Have auto sync off, or if I do have it on change the update frequencies to every 3 or 4 hours between each sync.
-Brightness at about 15-20%
-Turning the wifi off when not connected to a network
-Don't use the stock ROM
Are you using a custom ROM? Flashing scripts/kernels does not require wiping the phone. What scripts have you been looking at?
Wiping isn't as scary as it sounds... People back up their stuff onto SD Card, dude.
What are you running in those six hours? Currently I get almost 72 hours with a stock cm7 build, and about 55 using BlackIce. However that is defined by absolutely NOT using the phone.
I have a lot of battery test stats logged, but please let us know what you were doing/using in those 6 hours.

First you must find out what's causing the drain. Install some app like better battery stats and see. And do a little search btw.

I was wondering what people thought of these battery stats. I consider these average for my normal day. I've gotten much better and much worse. Just looking for comparisons. And wondering if anyone had any advice that relates specifically to this phone. Ive done almost everything out there. At least as much as you can do running stock. I have frozen many apps. Disabled almost all non essestial settings. Display is less than 25%. Use app ops. Wake lock detector. Better battery stats. Turned off location on almost everything. The only thing I think hurts me is I have auto sync on many apps, mostly for social media. Mainly I want to know if people who have gone through the ringer trying to squeeze very bit of battery life out of their phones are experiencing similar battery life. I see so many people claiming crazy stats I want to know how they do it.

This is an average day for me of heavy internet browsing and just using my phone really. I am running stock mk2, although i have removed many apps. But i had 15% battery left after that days use.

@ OP.
Those battery stats are average for a normal every day user on stock. Custom ROMS and Kernels if you want super battery tweaking.
So off topic bc I'm a super noob.. I was wondering if you root your phone do you lose the ability to get carrier software updates?

OP, your Android OS is waaaaaaay too high. (try settings/connections/location services/ uncheck "use wireless networks) for a major difference.
He didnt start the post. I did. He was responding to my original question. Thanks.

You can use wanam exposed to fake the system status as official instead of custom. But i prefer to use odin instead.

Frm the screen shot it seems you have background processes running(BBM n alarms). If you are always on 3g/wifi then the battery draining is normal. Or you can buy a new one for your satisfaction. Or charge it fully n dont use it just check for successive draining and if it drains within minutes then buy a new one.
Turn of features like google now and google location reporting. They consume hell lot of memory. Install greenify.

Try to check your battery if it is swollen...this is the big down of s4..
Or maybe a bad flash of your rom if u have
I'm using lindroid rom and i experienced good battery life. I also tried thunder_universe rom and thorvicc did a good job...
