Im trying to stream BT audio from my Aria through my 2007 Infiniti M45. It has BT calling/phone but not audio. It does have aux jacks... is there anything like this built for Android phones?
http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-Remote-Stereo-Bluetooth-Gateway/dp/B00170KUM0
From what I can see, that item is compatible with the Aria...
* Use your BlackBerry smartphone or A2DP-compatible music phone to play and wirelessly control music on your home stereo
* Plugs into your stereo using 3.5mm stereo cable or RCA auxiliary cable
* Tap a finger on its touch-sensitive surface to bring it to life or put it to sleep
* Compatible with other devices embedded with Bluetooth A2DP stereo music streaming profile
From the HTC Aria Page:
What Bluetooth profiles are supported by my device?
This device comes with Bluetooth® 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate
Supported profiles:
FTP and OPP (object push) for file transfer
A2DP for wireless stereo headsets
Other supported profiles:
A2DP, AVRCP, GAP, GOEP, HFP, HSP, PBAP, SPP, Service Discovery Application Profile
I have successfully used this to stream music from my Aria to my home theater system. You should be able to use this with any audio device that has an aux input.
Hope this helps.

Is it possible to play music or other MP3 files through the BT connection in my car? I have a 2006 BMW 325 and I can get the car to dial through my phone, but is there a way to play media files over the blue tooth phone connection?
Any help or information would be great. Thanks.
Happy New Year!
It depends on your car stereo... it has to support the A2DP bluetooth profile. I have a Pioneer AVIC-D3 and it supports A2DP, so I can stream music to the stereo. It works really well.
I recently purchased a Bluetooth speakerphone to use with my Evo. To be specific, the Sprint Portable Bluetooth® Car Speakerphone - Item # KPX3175R_C (from Sprint). I don't want to purchase an fm radio transmitter and my car doesn't have a aux input, but I would like to be able to listen to Pandora and Podcasts via Google Listen. Is there any way that I can listen to them using the Bluetooth Speakerphone. Thanks.
I have a Motorola bluetooth speaker phone, but I'm able to listen to music through it from my phone. The music plays from the speaker phone itself, but my Motorola also has FM transmission so I just tune my radio to whichever frequency my speakerphone tells me to for radio listening. It sounds like poo since it's going through bluetooth then to an FM transmission.
If it supports a2dp it should work without a problem.
I did some research and the bluetooth speakerphone is the Cyanics BCX-300 rebranded by sprint. The Cyanics BCX-300 does not support the a2dp profile only the HEP and HSP profiles. Is there any way to use these profiles to send music to the bluetooth? Maybe an app of some sort.
I have an interesting challenge. I have an Audi A4 convertible 2009 with bluetooth that enables me to talk on the phone with my EVO. I am not sure it is the "special" kind of bluetooth that will let me listen to music on my radio sent via the bluetooth to the car's speakers. If it is possible, I dont' know how to do it.
Also..is there anyway that I can broadcast via my EVO to an empty FM station? Has anyone ever heard of doing that? I just want to listen to music and no, there is NO aux jack in the car.
Thanks
Mike
lol, its not a 'special' thing
bluetooth supports different things.... and they are called profiles
for a detailed list of profiles (and to learn something click on this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile#List_of_profiles )
what you are looking for is, for your device to support the a2dp profile aka advanced audio distribution profile.
inorder for you to stream to an 'empty' fm station, you still NEED an a2dp device... it'll just be coupled with an FM transmitter
i.e. http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-tra...XBY6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287857216&sr=8-1
or

if i was you, i would check if the option is available on my cd player first...
i wouldnt recommend bluetooth, atleast not if you have a stock evo, its just too low quality to enjoy, better off using a audio cable, an fm transmitter probably wont sound that much better then bluetooth, if you have caynanogen or another rom a lot of them do fix the bluetooth issue
This is what I do. Turn on my EVO's bluetooth and let it pair with my car. Once the pairing symbol appears on my cars audio display, select Bluetooth as an audio source on my car's stereo. I have FM1, FM2, AM, CD, Aux and Bluetooth. Now start Music on the Evo and turn up the volume at least half way on the Evo. Now I control the volume with my car's steering wheel volume control.
I think the part you are missing it to select Bluetooth as the audio source on your car stereo.
I plug mine into car stereo using headphone jack to amp input for slacker radio listening.
Its also a great battery life saver when EVO volume is at lowest level let car stereo amp do the work
Hey guys, thanks in advance. I've done some searching and haven't been able to find anything that addresses a small oversight.
So I have an A2DP audio receiver connected to the auxiliary input in my car. It works great for music, Pandora, and what not, but none of the mono-channel phone audio gets played through my car speakers. I realize it's due to the different profiles, that A2DP was designed for music and the hands-free profiles were designed for phone calls. However, I've been able to find Music --> Mono software that allows me to play music through mono-channel non-A2DP headsets.
Is there anything out there that can help me divert the mono phone audio stream through to A2DP?
Thanks.

Phone connects to my car via bluetooth for calls only as headunit doesn't do audio.
I want to add a bluetooth receiver to the car for audio (belkin bluetooth caraudio connect) while still be able to use my headunit for calls.
Is this possible? Or will the phone only allow one audio device at a time?
I would only be using one audio device at a time, but they would both need to be constantly connected
Did you double check that audio is enabled for your car bluetooth? In the N4's settings.
And after trying, I can't get 2 BT devices to connect at the same time.
I have 2 bluetooth devices currently connected to my N4, jabra wave headset for phone audio and jambox for media audio, works perfectly. Just have to go into the bluetooth profiles for each and disable the audio you don't want (ie phone audio for headunit, and media audio for belkin) Not 100% sure it will work with your devices, but certainly can be done with some.
