[Q] HTC keyboard for the DX?

I remember using the HTC keyboard for my OG Droid. Can you use the HTC keyboard, say from the Incredible on the DX? I can't remember where to d/l it from, I think it was on XDA. Is anyone using the HTC_IME keyboard on the DX?

The htc_ime keyboard installs but wont open, I get FC errors? Anyone know how to properly install it? I just used astro to install the apk, and went into the my phones settings and clicked on this keyboard. When I go to write a text or enter a url in the browser, etc. I get a keyboard FC?

[Q] Force closing and gallery 3d problems

hey I have 2.3.3 cm7. And almost every application I try to open force closes and gallery 3d has no picture and some weird name the picture is a android guy can someone help me with this ?

More problems I just hit home after typing the first post all my Widgets showed problem loading widget and the name for gallery is com.cooliris.media.Gallery

What Nightly or RC of CM7 are you using? Is this your first install of CM7?

I am on RC4 and no I have been using cm7 since it first came out thanks for replying
Edit I have never had these problems until I installed RC3 and since then I have been having so many problems

Swype keyboard not swiping?

I installed the Swype keyboard and it was working fine for a few days, but now it will not "swype". It responds to pressing individual keys but dragging my finger across the keyboard no longer has any effect.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Which version of Swype did you install? The open beta?

I don't remember if it was beta - it's version 2.29.71.20203.t100

Have you tried selecting another software keyboard and then reselecting Swype?

this happens, if you have it to apps2sd it can cause this and other issues, as well could be due to language package if install, as said try to unselect swype and re-select it, as well if you get the apk swype restore you can restore your original swype from your nandroid

I tried switching to another keyboard, then back again, but it didn't help. I can also confirm that I have not moved it to the SD card.
I have un-installed it and re-downloaded the beta and it is now working again. I'll see how long this works for....

This is a known problem with Swype, and happens every time you reboot the phone. Try un-checking Swype in Settings>Language and keyboard, then re-checking it. You will also need to re-select Swype as the input method by long press in (almost) any text input field, until the Input Method option comes up.

hmm... I dont seem to have that issue with MIUI but i dont know about the other roms.

Might be only on the latest version of Swype, I don't remember it happening on older Swype builds (but not certain). On the latest Swype open beta version, it does this on several ROMs for me (stock, Virtuous, CM7), and another on XDA mentioned its a 'known issue'.

it is a known issue, it actually depends what swype you get when getting it from the installer there is 2 options full and eng/spanish, i had issues when i got full on my g2 and mytouch slide, when i did eng/spanish all was ok except it Fc one or twice fix permission fixed and working since then

I've tried installing both full and Eng/Span, and they both have the same bug for me (no swiping after reboot).

I've had this problem several times. Try pressing any text field until the "input method" message pops up. Select "touch input", and the repeat the procedure now selecting "Swype". It always works for me.
I'm using rooted stock sense with visionary/gfree and Launcher Pro Plus.

Swype not working on cm7?

Okay, so i've had swype installed on my phone since i installed the latest stable cm7. Everything went fine. I rebooted my phone today and all of a sudden swype just stopped functioning. When i swype, a blue outline appears around the keyboard. I tried reinstalling the app from the installer and making a whole new account, but the blue outline remains or it says that the keyboard is configured for a different device. Any help will be appreciated, i can't live without my swype.

Go into the setting, then language and keyboard, then make sure swype is checked. Then change the input method to swype, and it should work. On the latest CM7 nightly and no problems.

Yea, i did that. I've been using the keyboard for quite some time. It just won't work anymore. When i try to swype, a blue outline around the keyboard appears and nothing is outputed

Okay for future reference for others. I fixed it. After you install and it generates the license, click back, then enable manually. It works perfectly after that.

Xgin3.0 report

Ok so i was using xgin for a while and now i want to.share my report.of.this.rom
Ui - very nice
Music - cant open because i need to force close
Gallery - force close
Internet - somethimes slow
Camera - there is beta aplication of camera and when i open.this give me force close again! Com process media has stopped working or something like this
So for me its bad rom for daily use ....
And i get force close from cmsettings ...
Just too much force closes....
Back to rachts hackdroid v85

I have none of those problems. Except VGA camera I have no complaints and I've been using it for a while.

i always do a factory reset, when i change roms. even when the dev say, you musn´t. it is alwas better.

Use LGcamera best resolution 640x480
Very goog rom no problem do a factory reset and wipe cache and format data before install

Was launched version 4.0: Waiting Reupload 4.0 with embedded patches
until now not needed to force the closing of the program.
See if you're still problems with this new version.
For me everything is working, only to have the limitation in VGA camera.

if LGCamera is freeware, can someone share me ?

Well i never got real problems with XGin ROMs... But now i´m starting to get some problems, well there are some problems, like HTC_IME keyboard doesn´t work, compared to Rachts ROMs it´s slower and laggy, with the 4.0 i lost the dualtouch... (back to 3.0...) But the rest is working well, the camera (VGA) and radio it´s working

i got one problem with xgin 4.0
the market app does not show up in the app drawer(it is installed, i checked the applications in the settings menu). I tried downloading the market app from the internet and installing it, but it does not allow me to overwrite the pre-installed one. So i got no android market access.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT:
Problem fixed. Apparently the market app was not detected. Fixed after 2 reboots. Cheers!!
