Mytouch4g/2nd gen snapdragon FM transmitter - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone, i wasnt able to find any info on this, if i remember correctly the hd2 had a fm transmitter with the first gen snapdragon. Does our mt4g have one? If so is there any app capable of using it yet?

The media room app works for FM. Need to put a headset in to use as the antenna though.

I know it works as a reciever, but i was wondering if it worked as a transmitter. So like play my mp3s for a car and whatnot

Oh. Ok. That I dont know about.

I've never heard anyone even mention something like that. I am all but certain none of them do. Mine does not.
It would be cool though. I had wondered about putting a bluetooth dongle on the AUX input of my radio. But I've never tried it. I rather doubt it would really work.

The Sony MW600 does all that except for song titles, but there's no current support in Android for that anyway.
Cheers looks good

[Q] using 2 different hearphones at the same time

Hello,
I'm new here.
I just ordered the SGT here in UK and I was curious to know if it is possible to use bluetooth headphones and normal headphones at the same time.
I'm asking this as I will be using my tab on a flight and I'd like to watch movies with my partner.
I know I could buy a 3.5 mm jack splitter but I'd like to use the bluetooth heaphone and one 3.5mm headphone.
Did anyone try this?
Thanks

I've tried it before on other Android devices, and it wasn't possible. I doubt it is now. Wouldn't it be easier to check than to ask online?
I was asking as I didn't receive the tab yet.
Thanks anyway

[THINK TANK] FM Radio on HP Touchpad CM9

Can Bluetooth driver of HP Touchpad may be patched to work as FM Radio? The perfect example of this hack is CM7 FM radio on Google Nexus One.
I think first would be figure out which bt chip is n in tp. How was it implimented in cm7?

I thought that the Nexus One had a Broad com chip that did infact have FM radio just like its HTC Desire counterpart based on he same SoC and that it was done at the kernel level concerning drivers
I didn't think that Bluetooth and FM radio were intereoperable at all, correct me if I'm wrong, please

I remember seeing an app somewhere to do that but not through the Bluetooth but through the SoC I think. Spirit FM or something

I have contacted the developer of Spirit FM app that plays FM radio on many Android devices and he said:

Thanks. As expected no real sign of FM capability. There's a /dev/msm_fm driver, but that's just for audio access to a non-existent chip, AFAICT.
There isn't a single non-obscure tablet over 5.x inches out there with FM. Go figure.

Therefore, forget about FM radio on the Touchpad.
There is always the TuneIn Radio app (and others).... TuneIn is a favorite of mine.
As I recall, the FM radio was indeed already part of the SOC, but the way the audio path was wired in the hardware, it was routed using the Bluetooth. Probably not going to work on the TouchPad.

Bluetooth dongle on MK808 (non-B)

So I have this MK808 that doesn't have bluetooth, but I have an IOgear USB dongle that has the Broadcom BCM2045 chip in it. Of course, it doesn't work when I try it. After a bit of googling, I found this website that has some dude getting it to work with something called a "Beagleboard" which seems to have similar specs as the MK808 (some differences).
http://antweb.me/index.php/blog-rea...-on-a-beagleboard-xm-running-android-ics.html
Any idea if those tricks will work on the stock MK808 ROM? Any idea if those mods are in any custom ROMs? Anyone want to try it out?
If not, I'll just return it and get the MK808B and be done with it. I figured that might help someone else, too.
Oh, and the USB BT dongle is the IOgear GBU221WM / GBU231WM if that helps. It's just a wrapper for that BCM2045 chip, though.
Majority of kernels/roms should have the bluetooth modules installed and working as standard now. Could always try flashing a new rom?
AFAIK this will NOT work.
Unless there has been a recent breakthrough. I have about 6 different Bluetooth USB adapters and tried everything from CM10 to Finless to MINIX Hybrid with various custom kernels.
I've found NO working combination. The drivers are there but something is failing. I've looked at logcats and watch it start and stop.
So I don't know. Hopefully one day because the lack of Bluetooth is annoying. I'd love to use my MOGA or PS3 with Bluetooth. I have a wireless 360 but I like the PS3 for emulators because of the good dpad.

just checkout the Funseries V3 Rom for Micromax Funbook..and some spansish dev also had included dongle support in their Roms.

The dongle I have (full-sized like Bluetooth 1.x?) doesn't work...
I think it depends on the Kernel modules/drivers?
