Hello all. Ok, I had my Streak on Froyo 2.2 via Dells 318 rom. I decided to do a factory whipe. When I booted the phone back up, I was stuck on the Dell Boot Screen forever. I cant figure anything out. I have the 309 recovery image and did all of this with Fastboot. It seems like when I put the phone in fastboot, it goes in fine. I also have the StreakMod recovery I believe it is on the phone as well. Im trying to do everything and cant get my phone past the Dell boot screen. I tried searching everywhere. The thing that gets me is that when I plug the phone into my computer, the comp doesnt bring up a drive to recognize the SD card? I have no way of accessing it through the phone. I have a card reader and can get to the files from that.
Can someone please give me a step by step on what to do here? I went from ATT 1.6 to O2 1.6-2.1 then 2.2. Its been a couple of hours now and I just cant seem to figure this out? Please someone help me? THank you
You can not have 2 recovery's on at the same time its aether 309 recovery or streak mod recovery
If i was you i would re flash the 309 recovery then reinstall the 308 package
the 308 package will only install if you have 309 recovery
Good luck man. I went thru a nightmare like this last night. I ended up getting qdl tool to work and finaly got it to boot. I "THINK", if you can get qdl tool working you might be able to save alot of headache.
I was on the ota 319 and went back to att 1.6 so i could get it setup with 318. Im still confused on how i actualy got it to work.

I just rooted my streak as normal and now it will not boot.
When I turn it on, it just displays ''dell'' but stays there forever.
I flashed it before and it was fine but now it is stuck.
Any way I can fix this?
i am no expert, but you'll have to give a lot more information than that
16.?
2.1 ?
versions
how did you flash?
how did you root?
to "fix" your Streak, reverting back to the Update.pkg should get you back working

2.1
Build 6267
How can I flash it when there is no superboot 6267 version yet?
Basically What happened is I upgraded my streak from 1.6 to 2.1
I downloaded root explorer but it would NOT work as my streak was not rooted.
I then rooted my streak using superboot but it was for the old version 3883.
The phone did not boot after this. I then tried superboot for build 4399, same thing the streak gets stuck on the dell logo.
I then looked for build 6267 which is what I have but it does not exist.
I wanted to root my streak with the new 2.1 version but it failed and ever since I'm stuck with the dell logo.
I know I can simply reinstall 2.1 but I will have to reinstall all my apps and set my phone up again.
Is there any way I can recover or somehow go back to the build of 6267 WITHOUT losing anything or reinstalling?
The last thing I want to do is reinstall 2.1 all over again...
I just reinstalled 2.1
Works fine now only I need to put all my apps back on as well as configure/setup all the settings...
I am noob in phone flashing. but after goin thru all sources online.. I tried flashing my Streak 5.
I tried rooting with "SuperOneClick2.2", but it was not detecting phone model or so.. So I tried Superboot... after android interface drivers installation.. phone was decteced in FASTBOOT mode and message in phone showed root installed.
After that, my phone is continually flashing the buttons & showing DELL's white logo on the black background.
All procedures were followed to the dot. However, as suggested in the post & elsewhere, I "factory-resetted" the device. Not worked. I then reverted back to the Android 2.2 "Update.pkg" I had in the sd card. Update was done as usual. But the phone just didn't get ON.
That was yesterday. Well today, all of a sudden, when I tried to on the phone, it started!!!!
But new problem, the phone is not rooted. Checked out with the Android emulator. Tried the whole procedure. Went through the same steps. Problem repeated. Solved. Again & again.. the phone refuses to be ROOTED!!!
What could be the problem?
First of all dont bump a year old thread,
secondly superboot will brick the streak as it's designed for a different rom,
thirdly use the guides on xda/wiki to reinstall with a update.pkg,
fourthly there's a guide halfway down the page currently in the dev section on how to root correctly
Use superone click
One click rooting methods are not infallible. The recommended way to root is to manually install StreakMod Recovery then Superuser.zip.
So, I got my new replacement EVO after loosing my first one.
So, first thing I wanted to do was get it rooted.
This time I wanted to try the unrevoked method. I did the other method before and had some issues, but it worked out in the end.
So, I got all the files I needed. And started my process.
I ran the reflash_package.exe and at the end it said this was a triumph...
So, I went and tried to go to recovery mode so I can run the unrevoked_forever.zip. However, I just got a fail. Didn't work.
So, I said, whatever, same issue I had before, let me just do the old fashioned manual way. Got all my files and went and did everything.

Followed that method, which worked for me before.. everything was going well, until the PC36IMG.zip update. First
Hboot 2.02
S- is still on S-On
Bootloaded - Bypassed
Radio_v2 - Failed PU
Everything else OK
I also get 5 vibrates when it tries to update the Radio.
When I try to boot to recovery, I get the red triangle...
When I try to boot normally, I am stuck on the white HTC EVO 4G screen.
Cant do adb shell or anything.
I have already tried to take the card out, put it in a reader, reformat it, replace the PC36IMG.zip, same.
Now the phone is stuck and unusable. What do to? I am unfortunately, out of town for the moment. Stuck in Chicago with no phone.
Anyone please have any ideas how to get out of this loop?
Okay, so more digging and I finally was able to get myself out of the hole I dugmyself into.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=829045
Saved my butt. Just rebooted into recovery and let it stand at the red triangle and continued from step 10.
So, S-Off now.. and flashing to Calkulin's as I type...
KK Not entirely sure how it happened. Aware of just how difficult it is to actually brick an android device but until I can sort this out thats precisely what I've got.
Was following the guide to downgrade from Steve's 2.2 (fresh from QDLTools) to 1.6, successfully downgraded to 2.1. Then Followed the instructions to 1.6, but after hitting the apply update.pkg it worked for a bit, then went to reboot and nothing happened. device wouldnt turn on, or do much of anything. Pulled battery and whatnot, then it would turn on and go to the dell logo...and nothing else. Can't load recovery, can't get into fastboot, or anything else. Any ideas what I did and how to fix?
I had an issue recently where I was stuck at th Dell logo. I ended up using using QDLTools from scratch. Make sure you leave the battery out for at least a minute before trying to get it into fastboot.
QDL hung on reboot every time, buddy at BBY told me to bring it in amd exchange it since its only a couppe days old so I went ahead and did that.
Hi, I am trying to load Steven's ROM on here, I got the device rooted but everytime I try to get Clockwork or even StreakMod recovery, it doesn't work. I usually do custom ROMs for all my friend's Android phones (EVO, Eris, Incredible, Aria, etc) and none are as much of a pain as the Streak. The only other one I have done before had the same problem where I flash recovery in fastboot, pull the battery, reboot into recovery and I get to the Dell recovery. I choose the update.pkg and I get the black screen. I tried the 2 versions in the Clockwork thread, 3 versions in the streak .pdf posted on here, and the StreakMod version. All do the SAME THING!
I would appreciate a little bit of direction if someone could help me. The phone is an ATT Streak running 1.6 build 6601. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: The only thing I thought of was updating it to 2.1 and than trying?? Should I do that?
I assume youre using qdl repair tool? Did u put the recovery file in the qdl directory. I just wanna make sure.

No, I wasn't. I am just using command prompt and doing the commands manually.
Are you able to successfully install from QDL? If so, then you need to fastboot the recovery files. QDL will overwrite whatever recovery you have in it.
Try using qdl if u can my dude. If it doesnt work, then come back here. Qdl makes everything easy.
P.s. When u choose update.pkg, u get to a blank black screen? Theres no picture at all?
Just read this...
http://android.modaco.com/content/d...24010/warning-white-dell-streak-is-different/
I didn't know the color mattered but this is a white one. Got QDL installed and setup and ran it as it is and it might still be doing someone on the phone but it's been at the Dell logo for a while. It also wouldn't take my recovery.img - I put it in the images folder and it said it couldn't flash it. Ugh, this is so annoying.
Did u follow the tutorial from the streakdroid site? Installed correct drivers? Thats a common problem. And did qdl say that it failed?
Also with qdl, u put the recovery after qdl succeeds.
I have the white one and qdl failed twice. I just restarted the process and it went thru the 3rd time.

I got it to work through QDL, finally. I followed everything but finally found a .zip with official Froyo 2.2 in .img formats and threw that into the images folder and it flashed and worked. I gave it back to my friend that way cause she needed it back. I will trt getting clockwork on there another time. Thanks alot everyone!
Cool so right now its running 2.2 with stock recovery? Its pretty easy to flash a custom recovery after that. Just make sure the recovery file is in the qdl directory and run the command in fastboot.
A couple weeks back I deleted the OS off of my phone while messing with TWRP recovery trying to install a custom ROM. I looked around the forums and i got my phone to the point where It booted into a stripped down version of android with stock recovery on it, although everything was mirriored and backwards. But when i tried to install the stock rom for my LeEco S3 with stock recovery it got stuck i a boot loop and I couldn't turn off the phone or boot into recovery or anything. So i let it keep booting until it ran out of battery and died. So then i decided i would put the stripped down version back on and start again.
So I went back to my sp flash tool and reinstalled all the partions except the boot and recovery partitions (according to the steps on the forum) but my phone still wont boot into anything, it is completely black and wont boot into recovery or fastboot, and im running out of ideas on how to fix this phone :crying:
After pretty much giving up all hope of fixing my phone, i figured i would try the format option in the flash tool and then reinstall all of the pattitions. I selected format all flash, not doing proper research first, and now i cant even reinstall partions, I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL error anytime i try to flash the partitions.
can you at least get the phone to fastboot mode?

No I cannot, The screen is completely black and nothing comes on at all if I hold down the power button.

I have already looked through that thread, and i have done everything up to the flashing process, and then I get a STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (0xC0060003) Error. I looked it up but the only option I haven't tried to solve the issue is to remove the battery, which i cannot do currently because to remove the battery you need a heat gun to remove the screen to get to the rest of the phone. I think I've given up all hope on fixing this phone and may just begin saving for a new one.
