Recommended ROM for Hero

Hi, i am looking for a stable and fast ROM for my Hero. I've tried SenseHero and im currently using BeHero 1.3.2, but i keep loosing my connection, and it restarts for no reasons at all and there are some minor bugs. Only good thing is the camera responds much better with BeHero 1.3.2..
I'm not gonna install SPL or anything dangerous, just need a 2.1 Android ROM that's fast and stable. I'm using 3rd party software for most things so pretty much need a clean rom. I would also prefer if i only have to install 1 file..
What would you guys recommend me to get? (I've spent alot of time getting to know this whole business of rooting and installing hacked roms but still know very little.. It's a big subject )
Thanks in advance

Well, I can only say that you have to try different ROM's because they can behave different on each device.
I recently flashed mine with VillainROM 3.3, and it became really laggy. I haven't bothered to reflash, as the official 2.1 is out soon, and I've preordered a Desire.
So, my recommendation is that if you don't REALLY need 2.1 NOW, just wait for the official update. If you do need it, then try different ones because they are all good, but may behave a little different on each device and even between flashing on the same device too.

Problems after installing WM6.5 from T-Mobile

Hi All,
I am new to this forum, I installed WM6.5 from T-Mo website, after dooing that I see that TouchFlo3D is not pn my TP2 anymore, also the option for START-SETTING takes me to Manilla Settings. Has anyone else experienced this. Is there a new ROM I can install. Any help will be appreciated.
try installing rom again. it should fix the problem
That ROM is a bit of a stinker. It has doccumeted issues with losing time, all of the time. If you want a stock rom you should install HardSPL and take one of the WWE 6.5 ROMs.
this time i installed rom, my phone is freezing .... i have to do atleast 2 or more resets everyday since i have installed it.
A fair number of people have discovered that re-flashing that t-mo 6.5 ROM a 2nd time has helped clear up a number of odd issues like those.

RUU 2.1 audio issue - any possible ways to fix?

So far I'm really enjoying the 2.1 via a standard RUU flash. Only problem I've seen (or rather heard) is audio dropping out on the phone completely until I restarted it. I saw a thread about it but it's not clear in there what people think causes it and if there's a fix/workaround that'll work with the Sprint 2.1 RUU and not a custom ROM. Any ideas? Appreciate it.
Check the thread on Audio Fix Final. It wont let me post the link since I am new.
(forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657244)
I installed this and have not had a problem with audio since..
However, You need to root your phone again since you have flashed the RUU. The directions are in one of these threads. Or you can check Androidcentral. There is a fix outlined there.

New Official HD2 Rom Problems

I decide to try the updated rom (to 2.13.531.1) for my t-mobile usa version hd2 despite the fact that it was running incredibly smooth with the original rom. I had a backup with spb and the only problem I could find was that purchased books from the BN eReader no longer worked (but it did if I started from scratch). Problem is now the device is much slower (even with LeoCPUSpeed) and the start button doesn't work for at least 30 seconds after a soft reset). Anyone else have these problems? Any way to go back to the original rom or highly recommend a custom rom? Thanks!

Re-flash the most recent ROM from the HTC website. With this you will receive the most up to date radio, which I doubt has anything to do with your issue, but it can't hurt.
It may be a simple coincidence that your screen broke while you were changing the software on your phone, but I would suggest if you are going to send it off to be repaired, you remove the Hard SPL update you should have done and re-flash WinMO.
This happened to me; luckily t mobile sent me a warranty replacement. It's official your touchscreen is dead.
Sent from my DL DesireZ v4.1 using XDA App
You might be right in that thought. I just hoped that it could be a software issue, but i maybe just have to realize that it is defect. I tried to install the latest rom from htc but it didn't make any difference. How do i remove the HSPL ? Im on foreign territory in this. I just thought it could be fancy to get android on my phone instead of screwed-up Win Mo. I got no idea what i have been doing :/
