Is it just me or haven´t CM implemented WiFi hotspot in 6.1?
Stock FroYo for Legend has this.
Its not you

You mean WiFi teathering pritty sure it's there under settings>wireless & networks>Tethering
No I just have the option: USB tethering.
Wifi tether is not present in CM6.1. This is because no-one can be bothered to reverse engineer the system that is needed for it on the Legend.

Do u have a theme over cm6? Because I have that option in stock cm6 but with a theme I don't, so what I did is just look for a wireless tether apk

There was a setting on my G1 that allowed me to remove the zoom controls from the browser. Since the G2 has good multitouch, I have yet to use those controls. Its just taking up screen estate now. Is there any way to remove it?

Yeah. It's custom. I've only seen it on froyo since cm6. Firefox for Android went beta in the market. Anyone using that?

It's been around since RC33, ever since Luke Hutchinson got pinch-to-zoom hack working. Only on rooted phones though.

Have you even tried this? I'm 99% sure this is not particular to mdj's build. It's an option on hyperdroid gingerbread, and that doesn't even have cyanogen.

I have been running tytungs 1.9 nexus build and I have had problems with mms not sending and just hanging. I have had that problem for a while. I installed go sms and did a test mms through "go sms" to my wife's phone and it worked just fine. This may not help you but it fixed my issue. I have not tried to send it through the regular sms client though. I dont know if it will work on the GB build or not though.
Good luck.

Unfortunately, I believe that fix will only apply to sense ROMs. You can try though, just make sure you back up first

I did read...and I apologize, The custom user agent settings were on both Gingerbread builds I've used, so I assumed it was stock...if the build you're using doesn't have those settings it doesn't mean I "dnt" read.
If I were you I "wud" flash a different build.
go sms fix
I have found if you disable the "auto retrieve" setting in the htc sms app , and use the GO sms app to download the pictures it will work fine, at least it did for me! if I turn on the auto retreive it will down load small and blurry, so this setting may be the answer ( the dev team actually wants you to turn this setting on ??!! )
Cyanogenmod 7 never got great wireless data in comparison to the stock rom, but it's to be expected as cm7 is AOSP.
Are there any roms that would get similar wireless strength? Maybe a pure sense rom or something (I really like it) The only reason I haven't used one like royalginger is because i saw that it's based on cm7... so basic features would probably work just as well as cm7.
Would also be nice if GPS worked well on said rom. It works fine in stock but once again, cm7 has issues with it.
I find miui to be the best. Wifi works great and my data speeds on T-Mobile network are as expected...but to each his own.

Evil 4G-HD. Data is solid and GPS works great. Plus you get the pure SENSE experience.

All HTC roms ive been on suck with wifi, wifi calling in specifics. HTC roms i can go about 10 feet before it starts getting distorted, when i had CM7 i was able to walk across the street and hold a convo, ive tried the Best wifi performance switch (which i think does nothing at all) and its the same issue.
Is it possible to use the CM7 wifi driver in the HTC rom?
Im not sure what Rom you are using but the problem is most likely with your kernel. Have you tried flashing a different Kernel?
This one might work for you
Fauxs GB sense kernel
If this kernel is not made for the ROM you are using dont flash it. find the correct one for your rom
CM7's WiFi drivers are ported to CM7 using HTC's sources... Change your kernel.

I have this problem too and it is really frustrating
I have to literally put a wireless router on my desk I work on just to make it like a regular call
Im talking on my phone via wifi calling with royal sense Tmobile Mytouch 2.3.4 based rom right about 30ft away from the router and through two wall without any problems
Edit: However this sense rom is using GingerSensei 1.0, ckisgen custom kernel not faux

AT&T wifi left alone ??
what about wifi? the pre set SSID in wifi networks? ya its still there.
what did i do to the stock? read post 1 and 3. nothing that involves anything that isnt one of 4 apps.
Not sure what you meant by "Tethering Manager" but can you WiFi Tether with this ROM? I don't use it often but it comes in handy when I'm out on a business trip.
thanks
Yes you can still tether.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA Premium App
both usb and wifi tethering are enabled in all captivate roms, however the tethering manager application is from at&t and checks to make sure that you have a tethering plan. so with him kettering manager you are free to tether however the hell you want without a plan
I know this is the age old question, but any info on the changes from kk2 to kk4? ...trying to calm my flashing addiction /cry
and the age old answer.... without source there's no way to absolutely know, unless somebody notices a bug fixed or added
