I have been using mediamonkey to sync music with the mytouch 3g for some time without issue. I have MT4G now and can't get it to work. I created a directory named Music, but when i setup MM to sync to \Music\<album-artist>\<title> the files just get dumped into the SD card root directory. It's like it can't write to the directory so it defaults to root of SD. I checked the folder and it has drw permissions.
Any thoughts out there? Maybe some strange behavior specific to the MT4G.
Make sure mm is pointing to/sdcard/media. Also try /mnt/sdcard/media. Just a thought. I don't use mm. Doubletwist works well.
Swyped on my rooted MyTouch4G
Please post questions in Q&A section.

I finally got the device properly configured in Mediamonkey so sync works as expected.. mostly id10t errors!

Good lad. You're learning!
I am having the same problem with removing an old gmail account from the previous owner of the phone. After you deleted the data file, how did you get your internet/3g working again? I'm afraid to delete it before I know what to do afterward to make sure everything works when running android. I think I have the nexus one version on my hd2. Thank you.

Hi, how did you solve the problem? I had the same issue but I haven't been able to find the answer in the forums. Do you mind posting the answer here?
Search apn settings!
It should be epc.t-mobile.com
Should work fine but then u need to search mms settings

just installed HyperDroid 1.6 on my HD2. Smooth install but now the music player wont recognize my music files. opened file explorer and tried to manually launch them and it says the file type is not recognized (.mp3). Any help? Comments? All greatly appreciated, thanks.
I had the same problem (kinda), got a bunch of music in .flac format, but the thing refused to play them (even though the ROM I was using supports it)
I solved it by re-installing the ROM (deleting android folder and copying new)
Or if you don't want to do that you can install an app called "meridian media player" from the android market, it should allow you to play the music.
P.S. I'm using this as my android ROM
Meh, will try the bone stock cyanogen one you linked me. Really like the one i have, seems to have a larger resolution and is a lot smoother. Is the one you linked similar?
Tried to use root explorer, but after reboot the file appeared again in system apps..
Tried to use terminal emulator that comes with CM 6.1, but got error message "cannot remove , because the folder is not empty" - something like that...
The apps I want to remove are: Maps, Navigation,E-mail,Voice Search,Talk and some others....
By the way, what I shouldn't delete? I mean the apps that can make problems with the system....
Appreciate any suggestions.
Most of those are Google apps so I wouldn't remove them in case you start getting non stop force close errors. If you wanted to remove the files, you would need to have AUFS. Search for it.

hey man,

I'm not really sure but are you using a bluetooth file transfer app?
I only use bluetooth on rare occasions to transfer apps to my Archos...

If U can't remove the apps from /system/app then you probably do not have S-OFF - what does recovery screen say? ..
I have the same issue here on my Legend since it is running hboot 1.01.. darn!
But anyway, you can use android kitchen to mod a ROM .. works nice Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Why don't you use an easier method of getting rid of unwanted applications? You can use Titanium Backup, it has a nice exploit discovered by Paul O'Brien from Modaco (more details about it HERE, but if you have CM 6.1 already you are rooted and need only Titanium Back that is already included in CM 6.1 ROM as far as I remember). You just have to go to the apps list, long press on it and from the popup select last option to remove the application.
For BT transfers, look in the Market after an application called Bluetooth File Transfer.

In stock 2.2 it worked fine without any program....
The 1.3 Mod works great for me except the Calendar. I installed the Mod, did a wipe/reset. I then setup my Google Account and now the calendar crashes every time it starts. Any ideas?
Had the same problem with my e-mail application and the 1.2 update.
Seems Dexters mod somehow affects other apps and not aalways and different apps for different people. Seems odd to me. Hope you get it fixed. I will be installing 1.3 hopefully today and will let you know if i have the same issues.

SD Card don't work with 1.3

See Dex's thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890042&page=
Yes, its long, but if you read through the last few weeks of posts, it will answer all of your questions and save you a lot of time.
To fix it I found some calendar apk files in a post on this site (Not sure which post or where, just search). Then I used Root Explorer to remove the matching files in the system folder. Replaced them with the two files from the download.
I had a little hiccup, I was using an older version of Root Explorer and couldn't mount the system folder as RW. Once I realized my Root Explorer was out of date then everything went smoothly.
update name
I have just went through the process of the dextermod. I have realized a solution to a problem I see others have had with the instructions on the dextermod install.
The file you download is already a zip file. So when you rename it you dont rename it "Update.zip" you just rename it "Update" hope this helps someone that needs it.
Ok I just finished the dextermod process smooth sailing after figuring out the rename error as stated above. I have since downloaded and installed about 20 apps with no errors.
One thing i noticed it that the touch screen is very sensitive.
Here is the calendar that works for me.

Rename or delete other calendar in app folder.
Copy the one I posted in the folder and it should work.

hello,
i freshly installed cm 11 nightly on my n7 grouper. i use the device together with my son. i am the main user, my son has his own user account, not restricted. if i unlock my account i am able to copy files over to the device from my pc(via mtp), but the same thing is not possible if i unlock my sons account and try it out. i searched a bit, but couldn't find a thread regarding this problem. can someone tell me if this is a general problem, a bug or something i have to activate to make it possible, please?
(i have to copy his minecraft worlds over there, or i will be in big trouble )
Have you tried transferring the file to your account via a file manager THEN transferring to PC!?
