Can't access bootloader! - Desire HD General

Hi,
I've followed the guides to root, S-OFF, and installed Clockwork Recovery. Then I've installed with Clockwork Recovery the latest 1.1.4 Apache14 kernel. After that and rebooting my phone, it only shows a white screen with HTC in the center and reboots.
I hold down Vol+ but the phone doesn't go into bootloader mode.
Has my phone bricked?
Thanks!

Go into recovery (you can access it from the bootloader) and flash another ROM.

Exactly what your trying to do would help

Not to flame but it probaly makes sense to read a bit more about what you are trying to do before actually doing it

Now I'm going to flash a new ROM with the recovery.
Thank you!

Non-dev related thread with failed user that can't even use the search button to find out how to enter bootloader...
I'm frustrated that you didn't brick your phone (yet). That would've been an interesting thread.

TWRP Hangs at TeamWin Screen

Since i upgraded to MG1 firmware and installed Goldeneye rom, i've been having issues with TWRP. At first, the recovery would hang when i would use the extended power menu to boot into recovery and it would work when i ust used Vol Up + Home + Power, but for the past 2 days, its been hanging at TeamWin blue screen all the time and i cannot boot into recovery anymore.
Would you guys know what i can do to fix this?
What version of TWRP are you using? 2.5.0.3 and 2.6 hung for me.
2.5.0.2 works flawlessly every time in my case.

It is in fact 2.6
So i guess i'll downgrade, is there any specific way to downgrade? Would you know how?
There is a flashable 2.5.0.2 around here somewhere. Find that and just flash in recovery. I believe you have to loki it as well.
Just keep trying to boot 2.6 it probably will eventually load.

Do you guys honestly think your posts have enough information to be able to help? We need more information, For example what guide was you following as there are multiple. What recoveries have you tried were they thought the right variant? etc. etc. etc.

I realize this now after i made my second post of bricking my phone,
I did get recovery to work. The 2.6.3.5 i was using isn't loki'd so i went to down to the 2.6.3.2

Make sure you grab the right twrp file for your device. make sure you have your loki file in the ADB tools folder.
Use this Guide and it should work like a charm
i recommend changing the name of your TWRP '.img' to 'recovery.img' so its easy to type in the command window

I am rooted and s-off via the sunshine app . Should I install this update ?

Run the ruu I posted. Flash twrp and then supersu and you are done. Will not wipe nor change your s-off status.

Can I not just run the update ? Probably not since I'm running twrp right ?

So the one Andy posted that you linked to above or the one in your " latest firmware post" . They may be the same I'm not sure

Either way will work. Andy's way is most likely is no wipe, no recovery so you'll still be on what ever rom your using now and twrp. Dottat ruu will give you the latest stock rom and stock recovery, it won't wipe but you'll have to reflash twrp, reroot, and if not staying on stock rom, you'll have to reflash your current Rom also.
I prefer the ruu and also keep the ruu as a emergency backup

The RUU that is posted won't wipe Internal memory.
It is certainly reccommended for a nice clean setup, but at the time same you could just flash the firmware (which is basically the firmware goods without the stock ROM) certainly wont, I thought you may be on a custom ROM so I suggested the firmware (I should have asked, my apologies), which you'd flash real quick and boot back to your ROM.
As for taking the actual OTA on your device, I'll have to look that up for step by step how to do that, I haven't done it yet so I'm not 100% sure the process. but we got some great guys in here for help, so we'll be good.

That link you posted firmware only, or does it have a system image too? On a custom ROM so I'd rather not flash over it, though updated firmware would be nice haha.

Is it safe to upgrade to TWRP 3.0.2?

Hi there.
Is anyone here using TWRP 3.x? I'm still on 2.x, since I read of lots of problems with newer versions of the recovery on this device, but I'd like to upgrade now. Can anyone give me some feedback?
Thanks in advance
It works but as with multiple posts not with Aroma.

I see no reason to update if u have no issue on 2.x. sometimes upgrade is just a no go.

If you're trying to downgrade, it means that you've flashed TWRP.
If you've flashed TWRP, it means that you already know how to flash a custom recovery.
If you already know how to flash a custom recovery, then this is EXACTLY the same thing. Just pick an older version of TWRP and flash it the exact same way you would flash any version of TWRP.
And if you don't even know how to do that, google is your friend.
