Can't find an answer for this nag screen...
I have my Aria on t-mobile and while I'm at work, I don't get or barely get a signal and it constantly pops up the select a network operator screen. Is there anyway to disable this besides putting the phone in Airplane mode? It's not that big a deal but I always forget to take my phone out of Airplane mode when I leave work and then miss calls.
Also it has a choice for T-mobile and AT&T when the screen pops up, can I get rid of the AT&T choice at least? My phone is rooted and has no AT&T stuff on it anymore. Thanks!

I read somewhere that I should disable roaming to prevent missed calls. Should I also disable data roaming?
Also, is this the explanation on why I would look at my phone and see that it had switched to airplane mode?

cant say about romaing, i live in chicago so i always have a sprint signal
as for plane mode, holding the hardware End button for a few seconds puts it in plane mode, ive noticed sometimes the holster pinches it and does that

not that i know of, sorry, ive been looking for something too, all the button mappers ive seen only deal with the shortcut buttons on the side and top
Its a system function, ie. a layer beyond what button mappers do.
There is something in the registry I believe you can edit to change that, although I don't recall where. I did it on another HTC device once.
Simple work around... simply lock the keypad or put the phone in standby before putting it in the holster. One button pushed, problem solved.
I don't know why allowing voice roaming would cause you miss calls. Data roaming could cause this, though. EVDO supports calls ringing through even in an active data session, but 1xRTT does not. Most of Sprint's roaming agreements only let you data roam on 1x. So if you're roaming and in a data session, you won't receive calls.
not sure if anyone is still interested but i found the reg key to disable going into flight mode with the end call button
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/PhoneExtendFunction/CDMA/
set FlightModeSwitchByPnHEndKey to 0
Anybody know if there's a way of keeping my Trinity in standby even when a text message comes through - I keep the thing in my pocket and if I don't look at it straight away after a text has come through, all kind of things happen - programs get launched, photos get taken, voice memos are created, just from it moving around in my pocket after un-standbying itself!??
Thanks
Lock the screen and when a text comes no programs will launch!
Nope...
Doesn't work...as soon as a text comes through, everything unlocks - is there anyway to stop this from automatically happening?
Thanks
flight mode

Not so on mine when it is locked it stayes locked! The screen will come on but the machine stays locked.
What mine is doing is when a text comes through, it seems to be causing the device to unlock, because the screen will take touch commands - I need to be able to lock the screen and get it to stay locked even when a text comes through. Any experts out there who might know how to achieve this?
Thanks
What is flight mode anyway?
OK, let me put this another way - is it possible to lock the screen until you press the standby button, so that nothing else unlocks it such as a text message or phonecall?
Thanks
I don't have this problem. My screen is set to go off after 1 minute. When the phone is in standby, all I get is a tone and the orange light flashes. The screen will not come on, unless I press the power button.
No input is accepted when in standby by the screen or any button except the power button - check your settings
I also have it set to auto-lock after 2 hours, so even if I get a text, and turn the screen on, then i need to put the password in before the screen unlocks
i use my m700 the same as you with no problems
RESOLVED!
Managed to put the device lock option on the 'Today' screen and this keeps the whole device locked (screen & all) no matter what happens, until you press the unlock option on the screen. Hooray!
Hi everyone.
I am experining unusal in call issues. When i am on a call and there is data coming down the 3g pipe there a noticeable sound/pause/drop out for 1/4 a second. I can only determine its the data coming down while the call is active.
So is there something that stops all 3G data when a call is received and activated (ie your talking).
i am using juice defender but that is only activated when screen is off.
Wondering if its just me..
on 26 rooted x10a.
If you double push the home button during a call it takes you to the home screen, you could then access whatever app or stock menu you use to turn off the three g. You can reaccess the call from the notification bar or simply end it with the power button once over.
I use the Quick settings widget from which you can access the APN g/3g control.
My fathers phone has been making a strange noise, and we narrowed it down to it only happening cell service is dropping/coming on. When the phone starts, if you toggle airplane mode, if you walk into a store, certain parts of the house...
According to Samsungs help I'm supposed to have a "Mobile Networks" option under "Wireless and networks" but I dont. I have Airplane, Wifi, Bluetooth, VPN. Thats it.
If anyone could enlighten me to how to shut the damn noise off I'd be a happy guy.

not sure which rom your running, but, in 2.2.2 go to settings/sound/silent mode or hold the volume-down button till it vibrates...
not really many other options to change your location notifier after the update to silence the roaming notification other than a custom rom
Hi,
My note 3 on the Three uk network does not reconnect data automatically after coming out of a area with no signel just stays in emergancy calls only until i either restart the phone or put it into flight mode and out again really really annoying. At work i get no signal and after finishing unless i remember to toggle flight mode i will not recive any text or phone calls until i do meaning i miss stuff.
Anyone getting really annoying having to put into flight mode and out about 5 times a day now!
