Here is a dumb question.
I see quite a few threads on new Euro roms JMx and so on. Can these roms be applied to an AT&T tab that has been flashed with that Russian than European version ???
Thanks
Yes, if you flashed the JJ4 (Russian) before - you can upgrade to JMx

I have the i9000T HKTTT version of the Galaxy S.
In KIES, the original firmware was JG5/JG7/JG4.
After a stupid action, I bricked it but managed to get it in Download mode but flashed it with the wrong firmware. I am currently using the European firmware and got the CODE and CSC consistent with the default one but the European firmware has the PHONE version of jg1.
Where can I find jg7? Would piecing together these firmwares essentially get me back to the original factory settings? How do I set my CSC?
Thanks
take look at
http://www.samfirmware.com
you have to register (its free) there to have access to the firmware section.
regards
I have already been there. Either I don't know how to read the labels or they aren't present.
I am also stuck with a half-bricked i9000T... my carrier is Telcel, from Mexico. Does anyone know if there are any proper firmwares for latin american i9000T's?
Hey! I´m from mexico too. I have a i9000T with TELCEL and I have the firmware XXJVS from samfirmware working without problems, everything work fine, also 3G.
And I have tried a lot of Roms from the I9000 forums and almost everyone works fine too.
Ive searched these forums all day
but i cant find an At&t north American version Stock version of the ROM
ive checked the threads but theres not any anywhere,
can anyone point a finger to where one is?
I cant make any phone calls right now and its quite annoying
Yeah i second this
Are you talking about the Samsung Galaxy SII (GT-I9100) or the AT&T Version (SGH-I777)? The GT-I9100 aka the international version was never released officially by AT&T in the US and therefore doesn't have a stock ROM. If you are looking for the stock ROM for the SGH-I777 try looking in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1301
If you are just looking for a stock Samsung ROM for the GT-I9100 try looking in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Do make sure you know which version you have before you flash anything, flashing the wrong ROM will likely brick your phone.
Yeah I know old thread, but may help someone in the future. There are some cellular service providers selling the GT-I9100 phone for North American users. You can find stock firmware for the 9100 on the samfirmware web site under; Firmwares>smartphone>Andriod>GT-I9100>North America
Make sure your device is a true I9100 and not a 9100G,9100P or 9100T device since there are no stock North American firmwares for those models Some are Carrier branded and other are not. Choose what you need. Choices are limited though for us in NA and using the I9100. The UHKG7 rom works well on my phone. Nothing there for AT&T though, so the post above is probably your best answer.
Ive got a Samsung galaxy tab which has a reference band base version P7500UBKL1
While searching for a custom rom I ran across different versions of the tablet XXLQ8 or XWLP5 or UELPL
My main question is, Could i flash any of these roms and have it working?
If i do flash one of these would i loose the ability to use 3g? or would it just brick it? thank you for the support.

XXLQ8 is for Italy, XWLP5 for Baltic countries and third, I don't know (USA?). I think all of them are working in 7500. While
installing You can select Your native language, and that's all. In certain regions, as in Finland where I'm from the official ICS
is going to come maybe in some months, so nowadays I have installed Toldo's Jellybean ICS v.6 and it's working just great.

Hello,
I want to install a clean (non-carrier) ROM on my girlfriend's SGS5 (SM-G900W8). This is a canadian Fido phone. The reason I want to install the clean ROM is that they removed some parts of the ROM to scam people. For example, they removed a Data Toggle from the Notification Panel. Also, I want this SGS5 to receive updates as soon as they are out, not when FIdo decides to update it.
So I searched on SamMobile and found that there are just other carriers firmwares and 2 uknowns.
So my questions are:
1. What should I do in order to get a clean SGS5 rom on SM-G900W8?
2. What are those unknowns?
3. Is the phone going to work properly on Fido if I install other / non-carrier firmware?
Sorry if these are some stupid question. I am a Nexus user and never had these issues before...
The W8 version will definitely work with any of the T-Mobile roms and most of the other roms. If you're looking for stock roms, all the canadian carrier firmwares are cross flashable, meaning you can flash the firmwares from Bell, Rogers, Telus, Wind, etc.

Thanks for a quick reply.
Would you recommend any specific firmware? Without any issues and with the least amount (or absence) of bloatware?
I recommend the pure note 5 rom available in the developement section. It's very fast, stable and awesome battery life (I get 5 hours of screen time). I suggest waiting a few days since V6.5 is coming out soon though.

Oh, I thought that It's only OK to install ROMs for SM-G900W8 only. Can you please explain what kind of ROMs I can install on her SGS5 (SM-G900W8)?
I checked the N5 Port - looks awesome. I think I will install that one.
You can install most roms that are developed for the snapdragon variant. I installed the rom on my T-mobile S5 (G900T) and it works flawlessly.
I am curious if any one knows the answer to this question -
The Bulgaria variant of G935F has had a total of two new updates for new firmware on Sammobile since the S7 Edge launched - the most recent one came down just the other day - most other variants have had two.
Being somewhat new to using the G935F (or any F variant for that matter) on ATT in the US, I wonder if this latest Bulgarian update has anything new or different - (improvements) that has not yet been released elsewhere?
My understanding is that any G935F firmware release is safe to flash via odin if I am using a G935F phone - but I don't want to flash just to flash - on the other hand, if there is some improvement, well, I certainly want to take advantage of that...
I guess what I am asking is - how do you find out what is new or different in any of the new releases - considering there are so many different countries that have their own version of G935F?
Suggestions?
