[Q] build.prop or ro.build.fingerprint - Galaxy Tab General

Can somebody post/attach a copy of their build.prop, or at least their ro.build.fingerprint?
We are trying to spoof the Tab in the Market on the NOOKcolor.
Thanks!

This is my fingerprint
Code:
ro.build.fingerprint=samsung/GT-P1000/GT-P1000/GT-P1000:2.2/FROYO/XXJJ3:user/release-keys
It's from a JM6 firmware though I modified the fingerprint to JJ3.

Thanks Paul!

Does anyone have a fingerprint from a Galaxy Tab running Eclair? The Nook Color is running Eclair so I'm wary of trying out this Froyo-based fingerprint.

build.prop or ro.build.fingerprint
tried with the Samsung Tab footprint and didn't work.
I really just want the WSJ app from Samsung.

The Galaxy Tab nexer came with Eclair. The firmware shouldnt matter, if anything, youll get better/more apps.

SuperOneclick should work, it did with my phone. Be sure to put enable USB debugging mode. Or you could just download it rooted and deoxed for you.
On a related note: JPS is awesome (I never thought I would be writing that again). I just rooted, deodexed and undervolted, without other tweaks and everything is smooth.

I tried with SOC 1.8 i think, it didnt work. Got debugging enabled and everything set correctly, i think. Still, it doesnt work z4 doesnt even move when started, and freezes the phone.
try a newer SOC
I'm still using 1.7.
SuperOneClick 2.1.1 rooted this firmware for me nicely Altho the "test" didn't work but it still rooted it.
I5800xxjps
I flashed this firmware on Indroid v5.2 and felt there is no need to use a custom rom when original FW is so good. Quadrant scores are deceiving (~320) but I could feel the smoothness and performance.
I5800XXJPS + Root + SD Card Increase to 2048 kb
Most important thing is the file system... Convert sys, data and cache to ext2 you can really feel the difference after this step.
Note: found ext4 to be slower on this device.

[Q] Galaxy Note N7000

I used ROM Toolbox lite after I rooted my phone. All worked fine untill I changed the theme on my phone. Now my status bar will crash and when I try to run ROM toolbox, It also crashed. I've rest my phone and still have the problem. Is thier a way I can eather unroot or reroot my my to fix the problem? Right now "process com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox" i have to force to close and "android.systemui.statusbar.NotificationData" comes up and need to force to close. Im runing gingerbred.ubkk2 android ver 2.6.35.
If you wish to unroot, use odin to flash any stock rom. This will unroor and delete cwm as well

Many themes cause the SystemUI to force close. If you made a backup, revert to it. Otherwise you're going to have to flash another rom over it to get it working properly.

not only number is changed. I'm using custom Paranoid ROM on my Galaxy tab 7.7. It has better performance and looks nicer ) User interface veery smoth
well, i must admit that the software experience improved a lot (its a huge improvement) from honeycomb to ics.

Well, FWIW ICS to JB (4.1.2 or 4.2.2) on my other tabs makes a marked improvement in the overall speed and fluidity of the tabs. Whether or not the same will hold true when (or if) the 7.7 gets stock 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 remains to be seen.
is there anyone of you that still uses stock firmware like me? tried PA but have to revert back to stock ics despite the brick bug danger
If you mean stock as in from samsung, yes, I have it on my tab but I am using a different launcher though to speed things up.

The "BrickBug" has had me spooked also. But, after reading as much as I could from other sources, flashing CWM alleviates that issue. That said I still would shy away from Factory Reset from ICS nevertheless. Or proceed with caution.
Granted I could be wrong but am always on the lookout for a definitive "fix".

so true..but i still encountered some soft bricks randomly when many apps were installed..for instance when i used the offline feature of Google Currents..my tab won't flash via odin so i have to reset using cwm many times..
do you think the new jelly bean firmware is free from brick bug?

One hopes so. But I'll always include CWM/kernel substitution. I'll deal with soft brick any day of the week compared to hard brick. Even jtag has failed for some.

Me too I use a stock firmware or if I use a custom firmware, I always replace the custom "safe kernel" with the stock kernel from Samsung.
Sorry to repeat it again, but I never got any issues with Samsung stock kernel whether with my G-Note or my GT P6800.
The sole time I got a brickbug was with a custom firmware on my G-Note as I forgot to replace the custom "safe kernel (from PhilZ)" with a Samsung stock one... ^^
Once my G-Note got repaired, I reflashed it with the same ICS custom firmware but that time with a stock kernel and I never got brickbug again, despite numerous Factory Resets.
My G-Note has now a completely stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2 from Samsung and so far so good no issue at all !!!
My GT P6800 is still with a stock ICS 4.0.4 from Samsung and I don't plan to use any custom firmware since it works fine with a very good battery life time.
The only change I made both on my G-Note or P6800 was to root them.

Pretty close to the same here. Am under the distinct impression that rooting and using CWM also offers as much "protection" from brickbug as can be had at the moment. Running LQ1 right now but was considering flashing LQ2. Looking for a bit better battery.
Been following daniel_hk in the Android section. His work on the JB CM10.1 looks very very promising! Check it out!

Sorry for daniel_hk or any other Cyanogen devs I'm not willing to flash any Cyanogen ROM as I want to keep compatibility with all stock Touchwiz apps and features, and more importantly I don't want to mess up my GT 7.7 as I don't plan to change it for another device as long as it suffices my needs.

I 100% agree with you, CM might be the latest and greatest of all Roms but in my opinion if all the features are not working as they should why should I even bother. I know it's a choice whether to install or not and I appreciate what the CM devs have done for our community but I just don't like how they have approached our tab, if you are not going to have a 100% working rom then don't put it out there.:banghead: Sorry for my little rant. I am just patiently waiting for JB if it ever comes out if not I am quite happy with ICS.

Don't want to thread jack, but I am in the same boat as you (awesome cousin /,,/) and the lagging is more than I expected it would. Curious to know if updating to 4.1.1 would be better or maybe a lite ROM without all the bloatware until the final version of 4.1.1 firmware is released by Samsung.
Merry Christmas!

The stock JB ROM is as good or better than anything out there. No need to root unless you have a reason. Rooting will prevent your getting future OTA updates. Removing so called bloat (one man's bloat is another's useful app) doesn't speed up anything. That's a placebo leftover from OG phones when they had precious little memory.
Non of the non-stock ROMs retain full function depending which model you have. For instance, CM10 loses IR blaster and may cause bluetooth issues. I recommend the stock JB, its great, although I never found the 4.0.4 ICS ROM to have much lag at all.

No. You could wait untill Samsung decides to push an OTA update. I don't know when that is going to happen for your country.
At the moment only Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United Kingdom received 4.1.1.

I had try almost all ROM for GTab 2 7 and believe me the stable version is Stock ICS 4.0.4
The JB 4.1.1 UI looks ugly to me and lag when in the transition from apps drawer to home screen. In ICS 4.0.4 everything smooth and fluid. I tried several custom ROM like CM10, CM9, KWBR, AOKP etc but the UI doesn't seems to please me.
So now I flash to Malaysia ICS 4.0.4 ROM, rooted and happy with that. Looking forward for JB 4.1.2 to resolve the lag issue.

You know what helps with "lagginess" ???
Not expecting a tablet to have instantaneous response with its little bitty CPU and small RAM. People should have realistic expectations for a $200 device.

What it needs is a custom kernel, but unfortunatelly there isn't one available yet for stock Jb rom, at least not for 10.1.
Or is there?
to help with the lag on the stock rom ( or any rom) you can change the windows and transition animations scale to .5x ...
under SETTINGS...DEVELOPER OPTIONS ...
Thanks, it does seem to make it little more responsive, but still not smooth.

General Update
My Gtab was feeling old and sluggish and hadn't seen an update for a while and I had stopped using it. Also I have just received a Nexus 4 running android 4.3 which is a fantastic device.
I have applied a nightly release of CyanogenMod 10.1 (4.2.2). The process had some issues for me as the Google Apps package didn't seem to apply correctly however I was able update Play and then all of the google applications after the reboot and everything is there. The tablet now has a new lease on life.
It has only been 24 hours so if there are any issues I will post back.
I agree, it makes my P7510 seem like a new tablet.

Go to the development section and you will see an official thread there for Pershoot's CM 10.1 JB 4.2.2 moderated by Nakedninja. You will need a different gapps as the ones for 4.0.4 are not compatible with 4.2.2. However, the required gapps are also available on the same thread, as well as the CWM recovery that you will need for the installation. All the instructions for flashing correctly are also there, just ensure you read before the actual flashing.

Take a look here and download the gapps you need to your tab...
I assume you have either CWM or TWRP installed as your custom recovery, since you will need a custom recovery to install the zip-file. If not, take a look here.
- Boot into your custom recovery
- Install ZIP (choose the gapps zip-file you just downloaded)
- reboot system
