Does anyone here know of a legit source to buy a replacement screen for aria? Got a crack in mine and I can only seem to find them for an insane amount of money, or places with airports for addresses.
Thanks ahead of time everyone!

Hi all!
I managed to crack the digitizer of my HD2 some while back. It's working but I'd like to have it replaced, and I really think I'll screw it up if I try it myself. However, the official HTC repair service here in Norway wants the equivalent of 370€ to do it, and most unofficial ones are only slightly under that price.
I'm wondering if you know of any reliable repair services elsewhere in Europe would be cheaper, and in that case, which ones?
I've seen digitizers & glass being sold online, but they say it's pretty hard to separete from the LCD.
There are also complete sets of displays for hd2, LCD+digitizer+glass going for around 85$ or more.

Indeed, but I want to avoid replacing it myself, just not at any price.
quick consideration: I bought my hd2, second hand, for 440€ in february. Up to a 200€ expense for repairs (lower than which I think it would be really hard to find anything) I would seriously consider buying ANOTHER hd2 which now, being almost august, maybe can be found for less than 350€. I am not following the market.
At thjat point you could sell yours as defective for 200€ and still have paied 150€, lower than repairs
Thanks for the tip, that's not a bad idea at all..
However these guys says they'll fix it for 150£, so I think I'll just take a vacation in London and pay them a visit while I'm at it.

So i just ordered a new screen for my Aria because my dumbass dropped it walking past security at my job, wehere i have to show them its my phone so they know im not stealing anything because my job handles a wide variety of products, cracked it, i dont wanna deal w/ att on it because A) i have my phone perfectly how i like it and B) i dont wanna redo anything i have done, my question is there a How to video so i can follow the video, and if there is not a video up yet, would anyone be interested in me taking pictures of the process for anyone else so i can just make my own how-to thread.
there is a good guide on how to change the screen already on the forum.

thanks for that! i wasnt sure about if there was a good guide out there for it yet!
Hey quick question. Where did you get the replacement screen for the Aria?
http://www.repairsuniverse.com/htc-aria-touch-screen-digitizer-glass-replacement.html
I havent actually ordered it yet, cause of financial delay, but you can also find them on Ebay from Hong Kong, i dont know where this one is coming from.
I broke mine today... luckily it was only the glass near the optical trackball.
Why are these replacements so expensive?
sheesh. the place i took my wifes too only cost $100 total.
CNN.cn has the replacement screen for $45, but they are backorder, so no telling when you might actually be able to get one...

ok so i managed to get a tiny crack on my phone screen in the top right corner and iv only just got the phone recently so although iv changed my insurance over to this phone, because i changed the insurance after they sent it out to me i think the lady said i have to go to a shop for them to look at and inspect for insurance prposes. but if they notice the little crack i could end up between a rock and a hard place because phone companies as a rule are rubbishy people, especially with regards to insurance. does anyone here know of a good reliable trustworthy site for replacement screens for xperia play in the uk as my google searches and ebays have all come up with majorily american or other non uk countries. also i would like to know where i can learn about disassembling the phone to replace the screen manually myself and my searches have not returned anything that i found especially useful
regards
Hi,
I have a NC that my youngest one dropped on the floor and put a hairline crack across the screen. Everything works still, except the top half of the screen doesn't respond to touch inputs. I can get around most everything in the menus by a combination of rotating to get to the button i need, but playing any games or browsing is impossible.
Is there any way to replace the NC screen? I've looked online and most everyone has recommended either just buying a refurbished one as a full replacement, or upgrading to something new. I've also seen a couple companies offering screen replacement service but at $110 it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to do that when I can get a refurb for around that price.
So are there any other options? Could I get a parts one off ebay and swap screens? I know there are videos of disassembly out there.
If this was yours, what would you do?
I'll upload pics of the screen here in a little bit if that will help.
Thank you

If your nook is already out of warranty or still in warranty you can trade in your broken nook color for a new one just add $80-100 (I forgot the exact price). Benefits: comes with a new 1 year warranty and it' s new not a refurb :good:
Depending on when yours was made, this might work for you.

It's a replacement digitizer and LCD. Keep in mind that those seem pretty rare.

It says that its for anything made after Nov 2010. Which is when the NC was released. So it should cover all of them. I think you may have brought my toy back to life. Thank you!

Hello All I just wanted to throw something out there.
I am no way looking to profit from this but I bought a N7 for my wife and Yesterday she informed me that one of my children dropped it and the screen cracked as many have reported. Well I called Asus and Google and got the same line as everyone else is getting a >$160 estimate to replace it. Well that just did not work for me as I paid full price for this and that is over have the cost as we all know and understand. Well then what are my options find another place to repair it… or fix it myself. Well long story short I am looking at DYI as I’m pretty handy and there are so many write ups on it. The issue is that there is short supply of the screens. I did locate a source for the factory screens but this is a wholeseller and I’m just looking to gage the interest in the people here on XDA for these screens as the more I ordered the cheaper they get.
Thanks in advance
Like yourself I'd be interested in one if the price was right. They are starting to show up online for around $160.
