Hi there,
not sure If I'm going bonkers, but I'm trying to change my product code on the newest JMA build.
I enter the following.
*#272*3**6**4**00094* (Blocked some numbers out) and nothing happens?
Now on the rear of the device, it shows as 3*9*1/04/**0009/4 - I can't enter the slashes obviously! Am I going mad?
Thanks in advance.

Ok guys
Cellular South has root which you'll find here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581869) and works with the new [ROM] DamageControl v2.0r2 - FULL SPRINT RELEASE! which you all will find here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653222).
I have not had the PRI issue because i am not a Sprint costumer, but for people that have issues like the CS does not show on the lock screen or on About phone/Network/Operator name is unknown then follow this steps to get everything straight (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5928625&postcount=7)dont forget to write everything down before doing anything and i mean this:
a. Dial ##000000#
b. Choose View Mode
c. Write down the two numbers shown. The first is most likely your phone number. The second may or may not be.
Dont call CS for your MSL coz they wont give it to you( you can try if you'd like)for us the default is 000000
But i had no problem finding it using the guide with the CDMA program which for me worked only on Windows XP.
More detailed info you can find here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653735) and here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5928625&postcount=7)
Follow all the steps and you will have a freakish fast piece of hardware in your hands.
This is not something that i have done or posted, i have just followed the guides form our fellow freinds in this forum (markachee, damageless, johnsongrantr, TrevE, MrTrip, Avalaunchmods and anyone that i have forgotten to mention) I have tested and everything works for me.
If you screw up or brick you phone don't point fingers at anyone. So far i haven't heard anyone that had their phone bricked, but might happen.
Looks very hard but with patience and very little skill you will get there
In my opinion this is the most stable ROM for CSouth People
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=663730
I wish this helps My CS friends
As far as I know, Cellular South phones aren't MSL locked.
Just enter ##786#, hit Menu->Reset, and enter 000000 if you're having a problem with the carrier name not showing up on the lock screen.
Well i know
But for people that have flashed their phone with different ROMs they might have problems. ##786# wont come up so thats what i meant

Um, I think you are making a simple task complicated. If you are running RedawMODv2.0, Then all you have to do is get your MDN and MSID by dialing ##000000# and clicking View Mode. Write these 2 numbers down. Now power off your phone and do a Nandroid backup. Now reboot your phone. When fully booted, dial ##786# and press menu, then Reset. Confirm that this will make you lose all of your data. Now your phone will reboot into recovery and it will formart 2 (I think CACHE and something else). After that is done, just restore your Nandroid backup. Now reboot your phone. When it is fully booted, dial ##000000# and choose Edit Mode. Replace the MDN and MSID with the ones you wrote down. Click Menu and then Save Modifications. Your phone will reboot, and you will then have the Cellular South on the Lockscreen. I have tested this and works %100 with no problems. (If you FORGET to get your MDN and MSID then you will NOT have data!!! I REPEAT, You MUST get your MDN and MSID BEFORE RESETING or you will NO LONGER HAVE DATA ON YOUR PHONE!!!) ***I am NOT held responsiable if you mess up and BRICK your phone!!!***
Hey.
I was trying to unlock a phone, so i tried some codes people gave me (codes that were suposed to work) tried 5 diferent codes and did not work. Now, the input code screen says that i gotta wait, and even if i wait a lot it does not quit. now, i need to use a code a i bought (dammit u_u') but i can't. Is there any other way to put the unlock code? or at least reset the number of tries... any help? THNX! i apreciate it
See Ya
EDIT: OK, tries hadn't gone, its just that it take a lot of time to reset the sim to find the locked network. So i keep my question and i have a new one, how many times i can put an invalid code? thnx

Hi,
The first thing would be to check your CSC and modem firmware. Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to get all major info about the phone. It is important to know when you are going to flash another stock firmware.
I had issues last week with data and it was caused by bad CSC/modem. Flashed everything back to stock with official firmwares from SamMobile and it fixed my issues. After that, I was able to flash my custom ROM and everything is smooth sailing since then.
Let me know if you require more help.

Thanks for help bro. I took a screen shot of my info. I'm not sure why it shows bmc when I downloaded the rwc files. And is the product code correct?, also I never seen the code for csc modem before. Is it not suppose to match baseband, pda, bootloader
Everything is good, you're almost there.
You have the right firmware but now you need to fix your CSC. The stock ROM is multi CSC so Rogers (RWC) is already installed but it chooses Bell (BMC) by default. What you can try :
- Power off your phone
- Remove SIM card and power on (your phone will start and say : no sim card)
- Power off and wait a moment
- Insert your Rogers SIM card and power on your phone in Recovery Mode (Volume Up, Home and Power on boot). If you have:
#manual mode#
--appling multi-csc...
applied the csc code : RWC
successfully applied multi-csc
That means that your CSC has been changed to Rogers. Problem should be fixed.
If not, the app you downloaded contains a CSC Changer but it will wipe your data. Make sure to have backups beforehand.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for all the help man, did the sim thing and it just loaded me into twrp and i didnt see an option so I changed it via the app. Same thing still got the 4G and bell bloat. But csc now says bmc/rwc
Ok. Try this now :
You must dial the following key sequence to bring up a regional carrier menu: *#272*[IMEI]# (that is *#272* (your IMEI number) #) - You'll find your IMEI in the Phone Info app.
When the menu comes up, select the regional code for Rogers RWC. The phone will now go through a reset/boot sequence and come this time, it should read the APN settings from your SIM card and viola, you now have LTE. If you do not see LTE but 3G, you will need to ensure your APN settings are correct and then go into the Network Mode and ensure you have LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto mode) selected.
Let me know how it goes.

I actually did the last sstep you mentioned below this morning (found the steps online ) and it still didn't work lol, so technically when i did it in the app it was my second time restarting the phone. Not sure what's going wrong here. Seems like bmc still lingers around. Haha don't give up on me

When you flashed back to stock ROM, did you do a full wipe before?
It is really important that you do a full wipe so that it doesn't leave any traces of your old installs.
Try to flash via Odin (while your phone is on Download Mode). Check the AP and the CSC box and input the stock file from SamMobile.
Let me know if it fixes it.
Long time lurker, first time poster. Please be detailed in your explanation, I still consider myself a noob.
What happened:
I got a google play error that would not let me do anything, so I reimaged a stock ROM to my S4 with Odin. Everything worked fine at this point. I realized I didn't back up my text messages, and looked for a SMS recovery software. The software ran and didn't find anything. Later, I rebooted my phone.
My Problem:
After the reboot my phone came up but had a red X over my signal bars. I tried to Self activate, that did nothing. my phone says: "Preparing network..." in the status bar, but it's not doing anything. In my phone status menu it says unknown for all of the following: Network, Mobile network type, My phone number, MIN, MEID, IMEI, ICCID, Software version, Baseband version.
From what I've found it looks like it's a EFS corruption issue, but I wasn't able to find a fix with working links (and it was an older thread). Does anyone know of a method to fix this? I took it to the sprint store and the guy said he's never seen anything like this before.
Additional info:
Phone model: SPH-L720
android version: 4.4.2
Build: NAE
Kernel version: 3.4.0-481102
security software version MDF v1.0 release 2
Try to make hard reset ##786# it will ask you to reboot.
Reboot and see if the problem solved.

It is asking for a MSL. Where do I find that?
Try to enter 000000 if it doesn't Accept search in forum or in Google how to get MSL from your device.

After reboot?
Nothing happened?
So try the latest solution
Odin the tar NG2 file.
If it didn't work then convert the phone to media player.

I've flashed several official and unofficial ROMs to see if I'd have any luck with them. So far nothing changes this. It looks like the files are corrupted, but there must be a way to change/fix this. It's just software, so there has to be someone who knows how to fix or modify this file, group of files, whatever it is? even if it's with a hex editor.
So the end result was I sent the phone into the Samsung service center. They took care of everything with no charge since it was still under warranty (barely). Everything working fine now. And the process was quick and painless, they even paid for shipping both ways.
Glad that it worked out. I just wanted to say i have had success with dfs cdma tool for ESN repair in the past on my sprint S4.
It's confusing when you first launch the program, however you don't have to buy the full version to use. If you want to look into that, try a search for esn repair on Google.
sprint galaxy s4-Unknown MEID, IMEI, ICCID, service state
I have no idea what happened with my phone, one minute was working fine next it was like everything got earsed from the phone. Like above my phone is saying Unknown MEID, IMEI, ICCID, service state just everything in the about phone or satus says unknown. I have tried getting in to the ##3424# diag screen and it asks for msl, i put it in , well it wont even click ok, or nothin, i have tried using odin, even hard reset, and some reason i can't this info back, and one know what happened?

Hi I'm looking desperately for help with these 2 major isssues, any advice will be much appreciated.
I recently bought this phone SM-N9005 and worked perfectly until I realized my gps doesn't work properly. After a brief research I discovered a youtube guide with positive responses so I gave it a shot. =hC8jNb38gaY . This included ServideMod digging via *#9090# -> insert Q -> insert 0000 -> UE settings -> setting -> system -> NV rebuild -> ALL . After that my sim card was no more functional just as any other I then tried. So this is my first major problem:
1) INVALID SIM CARD The sim card was doing just fine before that and is still doing when put into other devices, but no matter which sim card I try the problem still persists. So I tried factory resets, loading different firmwares... which led to problem:
2) CAN'T LOAD DIFFERENT FIRMWARE I think I was doing all accordingly to guides but still can't force my phone with different firmware. I got it rooted, and everytime I try to use Odin it just gets stuck at "Complete write" fail or FAIL Auth.
The only firmware I could load into it was the early leak of loli 5.0 N9005XXUGBNL8 . I then tried several of them so I could use for example AryaMod (which gets always stuck shortly after start of the installation - i think because i cant load demanded firmware) but to no avail. The so far tried firmwares were the stock ones;
N9005XXUGBOJ6_N9005XEOGBOJ1_N9005XXUGBOJ1_HOME.tar
N9005ZSUGOH3_N9005OZSGOH3_N9005ZSUGOH3_HOME.tar
N9005XXUGBOI6_N9005ETLGBOA2_N9005XXUGBOH1_HOME.tar
N9005XXUGBOI6_N9005O2CGBOF2_N9005XXUGBOH1_HOME.tar
And the only working is the one mentioned above from early loli 5.0 leak : BL_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar, which I currently have. Any other attempt to load meets with the same failure. I tried different versions of Odin, starting them as admin, different usb ports, wiping before, rooting it but just can't load any other. : /
So finally I'd like to ask: Is there any way to revert damages I did by doing that ServiceMod thingy? To get rid of that INVALID SIM CARD notice? I'd like to do it myself if possible.
And secondly, why can't I get any other firmware working? Is it wrong choice of firmware not compatibile with my phone or I just overlooked something during installation?
If you reached it all the way here, thank you. Please share any advices you might have.
Oh btw this is from *#1234# if its of any help : AP: N9005XXUGBNL8 CP: N900PVPUEOC5
What is the model number in download mode? Does the imei in the phone match the imei on the label under the battery?
Looks like wrong firmware flashed .

...Well this is odd, the model number is everywhere stated as N9005 but in download mode it's N900P !
The mei number matches but it's short of one last number. The mei in back has 14 digits and in system 15.
Hey,
I got the same issue a few months ago,
It was the "pin" behind the cover that didn't reach for the antenna on the other side
This crappy video helped me a lot
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUsXU28IDdM
Update: I just discovered I can only install the N900P firmware so right now the both AP and CP is N900PVPUEOK2.
But the firmware selection for 900P seems rather limited to USA region. Back then I had czech (maybe european version with czech language?) version.
Info about phone now says my phone is N900P even though my phone is 9005 and so was the firmware for it.
