LED me know takes huge amount of current to flash led notifications - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I was using LED me know...to customize LED notification on HD2 and since its more reliable also. However as I found out today...LED me know makes the standby battery consumption to around 120mAh constantly when the led is flashed. And it wasn't an odd spike...i checked currentwidget log...it has been like that for more than 2 hours when LED was flashed and after resetting the service..it again came back to usual 3-8mAh.
Is it same for you guys also?

TyTN - Too many low battery notifications.

When the battery of my TyTN gets at 20%, I start getting system notifications warning me about a low level battery and others telling me to charge the battery like the manual says so.
The issue is that at 20% the TyTN still has a lot of life time, and meanwhile until the battery gets completely drained, I get MANY of these notifications that keep disturbing, it really isn't handy.
Does anyone know any solution for this? Maybe some way to start this notification only at 10% and maybe making them fewer.
It's only needed one or two notifications to remember us we are getting low on battery power, no need to keep reminding it all the time...
Thank you.
It's anoying me aswell...
I hope they fix this in the new ROM.
On the same general topic, anyone else find the battery status to be inaccurate?
I've re-enabled the small, four-bar battery indicator at the bottom of the home screen with a hack from MoDaCo.
Thing is, it's full most of the time - then wack! it goes to one-bar red and I start getting notifications. It doesn't seem very dependable. Anyone else get this?

same problem with me. looks like there is some serious bug with low level battery notification. in my case, i have Magic Button installed and i'm using its feature, which shows thin battery bar at top 2 pixels of screen (something like Batti). each time when i wake up my Vario II, this indicator always shows 100% battery for 2-3 seconds, after which it refreshes back to current state.
so this thing brings the idea, that these multiple notifications are caused because device 'thinks' that battery is full after each wake up, but after few seconds it turns out that it isn't, so system is generating notification - again and again after each wake up.
I've been having similar issues except in my case the battery is actually full.
The device powers up after being in 'sleep' mode (or sometimes during normal usage) and generates low battery notifications, even though the battery has been on charge all night and is actually full or at nearly full charge.
A soft re-set doesn't seem to help but physically switching the device off and on again seems to fix the problem (the battery showing 100% afterwards) but theres a definate bug with the power monitoring software
I really want to know how to modify registry of Hermes to avoid low battery notification too
Just a thought, on other devices such as the universal and breeze etc... (i see ive mentioned smartphones aswell as ppc) ... is the battery indicator shown in 10% blocks like the hermes or are they in steps of 1%?????
Anyone know of a reg hack or possibility that this will be changeable to 1% steps???????? (ROM change or the like?)
Ah yes, pretty irritating, guess we'll have to wait for the rom updates?

There is still no way to change the battery monitor to 1% steps.
From what I've checked, there is still no fix for this massive flood of low battery notifications. If anyone have any other idea... please share it.
My WM6 ROM show low battery warning at 40% - really annoying. I really just want to get of these notifications altogether!!
One possible cause of the battery showing that it is full only to have it drop 50-80% after a few minutes is that you are using a trickle-charger such as the USB cable to charge it.
When charging with one of these devices, when the battery says it's fully charged it usually isn't. You will want to take it off of the charger for a minute or two after it says it is full and then put the charger back on if you want to get a consistent full charge with a trickle charger.
Any news about the annoying low battery notifications?
I hate it and I would like to kill it forever...
Thanks
SaRo
In s-k software's sktools there an option to allow it to show the low battery notification in the sounds and notifications. I find this very useful as i disable the message on the screen which gets in the way when it pops up to tell you battery is low. You can even change the sound or just disable the notification completely! Theres got to be a reg setting for it so people can use this little hack without buying the program.

Bug when charging a battery?

Hi!
I have a question about charging a battery. If i charge my phone when the phone is turned on then charging takes four hours and is still at 75%, but if i turned it off while charging then the battery is full (green light) in a few minutes despite being only at 75% while it was on??? If i charge the phone turned off then the charging takes a little less than 2 hours and the green light turns on, that is pretty normal i presume. So is there a bug while charging the battery when the phone is on? thanks for all your answers!
(sorry for my English, please try to understand )
In Thailand, this problem about charging battery is called "Red Light Problem".
Battery meter will show hang at about 75%, Red Light on. (I mean that my phone is turn on and charging about 3 hrs or more)
But after I soft-reset, battery meter will change to show full, Green Light on.
No have this problem, if I charging while phone is turn off.
For this problem, My phone is already claim (change new one) from htc Thailand. (good service)
Some users in Thailand try to test and find out, this problem will occur when we install SPB Backup (or/and/not restore from this program also).
After hard-reset, this problem is not come. (some users still come again )
Some users change from HTC Official ROM to Customized Rom in xda-developers, this problem is not come anymore
And the other problem is battery meter show not be equal after soft-reset time by time.
Example that, battery meter now showing 75%, after soft-reset show 60%,
soft-reset again show 70%.
so this is not a big problem then. it is just some kind of a software fault. maybe it will be gone with official windows 6.5 release. I hope it will be soon.

[REQUEST] Turn off low battery light

The annoyance of a flashing red light - which usually comes on for me when I have another 3 hours of battery life remaining. Would love to see it gone. Did a search but found nothing - is this stripped in any of the roms out?

it could simply mean the the led still flashes when its charging. it does not flash for me because i am charging.
edit: i guess you could get a battery widget or something. if it has a notification... it will light up the led. might have to use that led app or have a rom with led functionality built in like aokp does and then assign a color to the battery deal.
I have no notification light when charging either.. maybe that's normal or bug?
use lightflow.

Correct...no light when charging. If you want that, get Lightflow from the market. Gives you full control of the light including different colors for different notifications which is absolutely a necessity as far as I'm concerned.
Same here, no light when charging/charged. Would have preferred it slowly flashing when charging, and being constant when charged, so you know to disconnect it when fully charged. Will check out the app mentioned above, but prefer these things from stock as having these various apps running in the background would contribute to battery drain I guess?

I know that by default, this phone does have a charging light. Mine worked right out of the box. But after a few days, it stopped working. I also have a friend who had the same issue. His solution was to also use Light Flow... It crushed his battery life. I'd rather avoid using a third party app and figure out why the stock setting is no longer working.
I think that is what many of you are attempting to do, correct?

I use lightflow and monitor my battery daily. It will not crush your battery life in my experience. Check out the thread in the apps section. The app creator posts there and will help with the app.

Secondary screen as LED notification.

Hello guys,
Just using this phone about one month ago. It's overall a good phone.
Except battery life which i think a software may fix it. Because i'm seeing other phones with maybe smaller battery mAh and with the same SOC, but they lasts long. (I don't understand how).
any way also i missing the notification LED . and i suggesting if there's any mod or app that can make the secondary display act like a notification LED. I imagine that it would be better than any LED. i think it would be nice that the whole secondary screen goes on with a solid color and with a pulse pattern. and even with some different shapes.
Anyone has any idea how that could be done ??
