I'm running The Plain Jane T2 with my sd card setup for A2sd. I unmounted my sd card and now none of the apps show up. just blank icons and when I click them it says they are no longer installed. Is there a way to resync them together, a command something?
It's ok I just did a nandroid restore and all's well. Please delete.

Exactly unmounting is like taking out the sd card, if you take our the sdcard your phone can't read it thus you can't see your apps

I created some partitions for the Spartacus Kernel awhile back. I'd like to remove them now. I've Odined back to a stock ROM but they are still there.
Not sure but maybe backup everything you want from your sd card to your computer and then format your sd card.

I tried formatting the SD card and that did not work. Thank you though.
Any other ideas?
Any help please?
There is free partition manager software available online that you can download to your PC to manage any partitions on your SD card (and PC hard drive as an added bonus).

hello,
i want to wipe my android and start from scratch , also i want to delete any contents on my sd card...
but what contents on the sd card must remain? i remeber when i bought my desire, there were already folders on the sd card, are they important??
how do i do this?
first wipe/reinstall rom , then format, then wipe again?
Why wipe and then reinstall the same rom? Wipe=factory reset which deletes all user info, apps, etc etc. As in it will look like it did when you wiped and installed rom for the first time. Just reformat the sd card and you are done. You aren't gonna see a completely empty sd card after reformatting. There will be system folders that android will place there.

After you have wiped and flashed your new rom, you can format your SD card from within android. That way, it will be able to place the default folders in there for you at the same time.
perfect, thnx for the info...
So I want to format my sd card because I have a 16gig sd and put all my apps on the phone and its still half gone. I have no music on the sd. My question is, if I format/erase the sd card will it screw up my rom managment? Also in my root exsplorer there are files I am unsure wut they are. Any thoughts?

Hi, I'm using my defy green lens, with Quarx CM10 2nd boot. I want to format my SD card, but i don't know which files are needed for my phone to run. I'd like some help with this matter, how can i format it safely.
Thank you
You can format your SD card through the storage section in the settings menu.. there will be no problem unless you have apps/app data in your SD card.. take care to make a backup of the files you want to keep..
In case you have apps/ app data on your SD card, I recommend you manually delete unnecessary files from your SD card..
And always remember to keep a copy of the rom itself and the gapps just in case..
Press thanks if I helped you
Thank You!
Pressing the thanks button would help me better.. please do it
