First of all, Hello to all of you, cause I'm new on this forums
Second- my problem...
I tried recently to upgrade rom in my phone. After installing localisation (polish_ it stuck, that's the thing that happens to branded phones, not only me... So I tried to install this ROM again (3.14) from card with HSPL. It installed SPL 3.03.0000 itself... And then crashed. Now I Have info:
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
"Upgrade ROM code error Please try again"
Can anyone help with repairing my phone to any working state? Or must I send it to service repair?
Hi
You have to go in (BOODLOADER MODE)to go back in you original ROM!!!
you have to press the volume button both up and the down volume button at the same time and start you phone, all at once, I know it`s very difficult but possible. If you see the 3colored screen, stop bushing the button, after that look at the screen and he will tell you what you have to do.(he will delete all the files what you have try to load on you phone, don`t worry about, after that you will be on you original ROM again.

I've an HTC HD2 from orange france... I want put on it a newest rom (I have 1.43 branded orange) and I can't download from HTC sites any official roms cause my s/n is not compatible!
After reading your post about HSPL... I've tried to downgrade to 1.42 but... I can't donwload it from HTC site and without this I can't put other newest roms on my phone... I'm so lost!
how I can fix my problem?
Thank you,
Bryan
If you have rom 1.43 then you already have spl 1.42.0000.
Instal HSPL and then flash anything you like. No need to downgrade first.
Phone off
hold vol down
tap power
KEEP PRESSING VOL DOWN
wait for three coloured screen,
read spl from there
samsamuel is right. Just go into your bootloader screen by soft resetting your device while holding vol down until u see the tri-colour screen.
It should read the following:
PB81100 HX-BC
SLP1.42.000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
If so, then go ahead and conect to your pc to begin the HARD SPL process.
To do this, first soft reset your device again and then connect to begin. Make sure you have downloaded the <<HARD SPL FIRST>>
done. after HArd SPL, when I copy LEOIMG.nbh into my sdcard... the bootloader, ask me if I want to update my image... I press power button to confirm... and then I've read the message "not allowed 00028002"
when I restart my bootloader I can read this message "Upgrade ROM code error/ Please try again"
don't use sd card.flash from usb, problem solved.

Are you sure hspl was successful? The Not allowed 0028002 error is due to the nbh file being having the wrong CID (Carrier ID) for your device, so this shows that you are trying to flash a rom from a wrong Carrier. HSPL should bypass this check, so that seems to point to your hspl not having been successfully installed.

I called HTC to get my phone repaired since the touchscreen is unresponsive. I previously had Android installed on my sd card, and energy rom flashed. I recently downloaded the new update for the phone so that energy rom would be gone. Is there anything else I have to do before I send it in? Something to do with the original HSPL or something..
sorry i'm a complete noob at this, please help ]:
funny my t mobile hd2 touch screen stopped working last week also and i have to send it in also.
i have the first revision model with the red reset button and i have been seeing alot of problems on line with these screens. the second gen ones with the yellow reset button have better screens apparently.
you need to remove the hspl and have just the spl on it.

Get a default Stock Rom that's shipped for your Serial number. Put that on the root of your SD card after naming it to leoimg.nbh.
Now run the bootloader with the SD card inserted, and follow the onscreen steps.
(re)flashing to a stock shipped rom will reset everything, i.e: remove HSPL, stock radio, stock rom, etc.

I flashed the old rom, and tried removing HSPL, but i got an error, now all i see is a triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle... when i turn the power on with the volume down button, i get "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again"
I'm planning to ship it within the next hour, do I have to fix this error before shipping? Or would it be fine..because when I turn it on with the volume down button, it says
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-1.42.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
that's default right?
lol i couldn't wait anymore, I mailed it, thanks for your help guys......:\
Hi, I just got my HTC HD2 back from repair. Before I sent it, I had a problem reflashing to stock rom before sending it in, and stock HSPL... when I turn the power on, all I get is a white triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle...i thought if i sent it in like that, they would help me restore it but they didn't....how do i get my phone to work again ]:
enter bootloader, flash a compatible stock rom. phone should be fine.
whilst in bootloader take note of what spl says.
Everytime I try to flash a ROM, it gives me the ERROR [294]: INVALID VENDER ID error...
right now my phone is stuck on the bootloader screen...it says
HX-BC
SPL-1.42.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
and if i take out my SD card, when I turn the power on, i get the triangle exclamation mark ]:
I take it its a stock rom you are trying to flash?
I'm not positive which is the stock rom for my phone. It's the HTC Leo HD2 T8585...I remember it being 1.66 but i'm not positive. I downloaded
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
still the same error :|
i also tried
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
and
_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
all give me the same error :|
The Invalid Vendor ID error means that the rom you are trying to flash is not meant for your phone and the ones you are using are for a different vendor/operator/area than the one who supplied your phone. You either need to find the correct rom or else you need to install HSPL in order to flash any rom you wish.
You current spl is 1.42.0000 so trying to flash roms based on 3.14 will definitely not work as will most of the 1.66 based roms, as unless you use HSPL the rom needs to match the spl version on the device.
Try looking here and concentrate on the 1.48 or 1.43 roms
You can of course also try going to the HTC site for your area, entering your device S/N and try to download the rom for your device.
I just finished downloading and tried
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship
and
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
...no luck..
i also went on HTC site..tried 4 different rom updates but when i enter my serial it says "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device" for all of them...
if its any help, it was like this because i remember doing something with using my SD card and taking a file and changing it to LEOIMG.nbh...
forget all that, and forget what i just sent you in PM.
you have spl 1.42.0000, so, get hspl2 (see lilnk in my sig) enter bootloader, run hspl2.exe (right click it, 'run as administrator')
choose, say, 1.66.hspl (it will automatically offer you 1.42.hspl, you can change it in the dropdown, or leave it as 1.42.hspl, it really doesnt matter)
when the phone restarts, quickly press and hold volume down, the phone will re-enter bootlader, flash a rom, any rom, over USB, so long as it isn't a 3.14 rom.
report back.
ah crap... I got everything working again after installing HSPL again before you posted...then i flashed a rom...and realized that HTC didn't fix my touchscreen problem so I have to send it in for repair...AGAIN. so I tried to remove HSPL AGAIN so I don't void the warranty...now i'm stuck at almost the same situation except it says SPL 3.03.0000
...and now i get a exclamation mark with a traingle but this time, under it, it says "Software update failed. Please try again."

well, that will be fine for warranty, because its a stock spl.
Basically, it sounds like what you just did was use hspl to flash the 3.14 rom from sd card, cos that lets the flash start, but it applies spl 3.03 which then checks teh rom and finds it doesn't match, and so fails. If hspl wasn''t there, it wouldn't let you get even that far.
So, you have spl 3.03 and no working rom.
You need your actual stock rom, not just 'a' stock rom, (im not scrolling to see if you posted it yet, but if its operator branded, you gotta get the right one) doesn't matter which version, 1.43, 1.66, 1.72, whatever. get that and flash it. USB should be fine, but if it fails go for leoimg on sd card.
Failing that, if you can get hold of another working winmo phone for afew minutes, you can probably revive it (and indeed flash teh 3.14 rom if you like) with a goldcard.
EDIT - oh, does your phone only work with one sim? if so, your first stop would be try teh branded one for that operator.
I think I'm just going to leave it if it's fine for warranty and call HTC to ask them if they can reset everything for me...i don't want to mess it up even more ]:
ahh well theres the unknown see, , cos in theory the only way you can GET that stock spl on your phone is if you have been playing with hspl (or maybe if you're an electronics engineer / 1337 mobile hacker, heh), , now if they want to be funny, perhaps they could call your bluff, , , no one has reported anything like that to my knowloedge, and it doesn't break any unauthorised software rules, so who knows.
i don't remember which one my stock rom was...i THINK its 1.66 but its not working... :\..
I bought this phone in China seperately without a contract so its unlocked/not branded.. its the T8585 model...
that's why you need to spend some time on the htc website, try to download roms using your serial, when it lets you have one, that will tell you your original stock.
When I enter my serial, they all say "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device"... \:
hehe, , then you are on the wrong htc region website. all the roms are there, somewhere.
could always phone htc and ask them which is the stock rom for your serial.
Nice, okay, the 1.66 that I downloaded from Middle East & Africa-English Country on HTC site worked after entering my serial...Now I have SPL 1.42.0000 .
Now I just gotta wait another 2-3 weeks before I get my phone back from HTC ]:
Thanks for the help! Appreciate it.
Hello, I itried to install a rom not suitable fot T-mous and I can't recover the phone since Then. It's possible to help me out? I became really sad without my hd2.
I tried to install several different roms (official and others), everything seems fine but when it reboots goes to the white screen and reboots...when i enter bootloader shows:
PB81120 ss-b3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Still charges through usb and the led is working but when i disconnect it from the pc..Turns off instantly
PLLLLSSSS Help me out through this issue
a plus point of it, ITS NOT BRICKED
DONT DO **** TILL PEOPLE SAY WHAT 2DO..
otherwise you will brick it...(trust me selfexperience, bricked my)
when its bricked, you cant do ****, the phone doesnt turn on, NOTHING happends.
just w8 till some nice people who have some experience want to help you (and me stuck with spl-3.03.0000)
So dont do anything yet!!
Firstly try switching on the phone without the SD Card installed.
If that doesn't solve your problem then:
Go to HTC's website and download a TMOUS ROM (preferably the 2.10 ROM) - you need to use your phone's serial number to get to download the ROM. If you get an invalid message, then you are trying to download a ROM not suitable fro your phone.
Press and hold the Volume Down button then tap the Power button. You are now in Bootloader Mode. Connect to the PC and the 'Serial' at the bottom of the screen will change to 'USB'.
Run the ROM. Just tick the box about ActiveSync.
If in future you are going to run a custom ROM, then check that it is suitable for a TMOUS. Only flash RADIOs with a .50 in it and above 2.07.50.
None of the suggestions...worked...Tried to boot without tha sd inserted...Noresult...And I have installed the two official versions of the T-mobile again with no result )):
Any other suggestions///????
Thanks ):
Sounds like quite a predicament. Have you tried any of the NAND android roms? Maybe a different os might get the phone to act differently.
I'm not going to say that this will work, but if it doesn't you should be able to hard reset back to a windows mobile os you have used previously by doing what you have done up until now with flashing them back on afterwards, putting you back to your current situation.
do a task 29. and try reflashing. (google "mtty for hd2" to perform task 29 )
Hi all,
New to posting here so hope this is the right place if not my appologies.
In desperate need of help, my first attempt today to try & install NAND Android to my HTC HD2 on T-Mobile (UK) and i'm affraid to say that things havent gone to plan.
The origional stock ROM from HTC website was:
RUU_Leo_S_TMO_UK_3.14.110.1_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
But I read that HSPL3 wasn't compatible with this ROM so I downgraded the ROM with an earlier stock ROM from HTC website:
_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_TMO_UK_1.72.110.4_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship
I then installed HSPL3 via a Windows7 machine making sure to Run as Admin, all went smoothly no problem there got the display msg on screen saying We craked it! etc.
I then installed DFT MAGLDR113 by making sure I was connected via Device management/active sync went through the ROM update again no issue took around 30secs or so to go from 0-100% and completed successfully.
Now here is where the problem begins as when I try to boot into MAGLDR by powering on the device and continuing to hold the power button all I get is a pink circle which freezes, with no MAGLDR boot options so im no stuck in limbo.
When I power up the device holding volume down rocker key I get the RGBW coloured screen with the following info:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0X05
CotullaHSPL 0X40
and in the white layer it says Serial and when I do it connected to USB it says USB.
If some body would be so kind as to help a nooby out that would be awesome as currently my does nothing more than the above. As mentioned before im new to posting here so tried to provide as much info as possible but if you need anymore info please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Problems solved!
Did Task29 then re-flashed the stock rom from HTC bootloader, then installed Radio:2.15.50.14 & then re-installed MAGLDR powered off then on again and MAGLDR now loads and allows me to flash DFT NAND Android to my HTC HD2.
However I have now stumbled upn another issue, and is the only issue I have found sofar is that the sound when calling/receiving calls is very tinny and when the person on the other end talks it sounds like the person has swallowed Helium and has bee put in to fastforward anyone know of a fix for this?

Try making a call, put it on loudspeaker, end it, then call again, should fix it
