Install BusyBox from market
You now can write to systems
If you want to install 3rd party apps
(Easiest way)

So I have downloaded directly to my phone bootstrap and Z4root. They are on my SD card.
I've enabled USB Debugging.
I can now run the z4root apk without loading the Android SDK and connectiing my phone to the PC, right? I came to this conclusion from reading the noobs Guide Sticky that said this:
"...If you don't want to have to mess with this method of installing, you could also download "Astro File Manager" from the android market. You would then need to save z4root.apk to your sdcard of your Droid X. Then open the Astro program and browse to your SDcard and file the z4root.1.3.0.apk...."
I ask because I read some threads about having downloaded the z4root to their PC first, then copying it to the SD & having had better luck that way.....or did I mis-read these threads?
And the kwes-chun:
The noob guide says "if you wanna remove the bootstrap...." but it doesn't 'splain why I'd wanna. What is the benefit of removing the bootstrap? And just to be clear, the bootstrap download on pg1 of the "noobs Guide" is for "removing" the bootstrap, right?
Thanky one & all.
All you have to do is install the app and run it. If it doesn't do anything let it go for 15-20 minutes then pull the battery and try again.
For the question about the bootstrap, some people may want to return completely to stock and they will no longer be rooted. I personally wouldn't ever want to do that but some people may want to do this
ah HA...so running the bootstrap apk UN-DOES the rooting the z4root does....thereby returning to Stock?
no, z4root is an app that can root and unroot you, there are options you can select. what you have described is that people download the apk onto their computer since download capability is faster, then transfer it to the sd card of their phone where they install te app and run it allowing them to root. z4root is completely stand-alone and can be downloaded and run without a computer if you so choose.
Koush's dxbootstrapper is an app that allows your phone to hijack the boot process to be able to install custom roms, and access the bootstrap recovery. it is needed if you want to customize your phone. the noobs guide tells you haw to uninstall it if you so choose so that it doesnt show up if you return your phone so you dont get in sum trouble wit vzw for example.
Awesome. I thank you very much; I understand

I'm also looking for some mods as I have just recently rooted my atrix as well.
So far I have done the Telstra mod --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049434&highlight=Telstra
although I found the thread a little overwhelming. I found a youtube video that walked me through it and now my download speed is 5280kbps and upload speed is 1210kbps!
An app that requires root that I downloaded today is pretty cool as well, its called Wireless Tether for Root in Market. Its free and it turns your phone into a wifi hotspot at the touch of a buton. Works great.
Well since you already took the plunge and rooted your phone, the very first thing I would suggest is to install CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1019143
It's not really that hard to install, and once you do install it, you can then create a back up of your entire phone (much more than Titanium backup). It's kind of like a creating a windows system image. That way if you mess anything up in the future, you can always restore to your backup that you made. Plus most mods, roms and themes are now using CWM for installation. Just follow the directions, ask if you get stuck, and read the thread, and you should be ok.
After that I would also suggest that you download Root explorer and SQLite Editor from the market; they come in handy.
If you get these apps, you can manually do the following (I always manually do my mods for the most part):
How about free mobile hotspot?? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=980636

Ok, you can download root explorer and SQLite Editor in the market, you just have to be rooted to use them.
Here are my instructions for enabling flash w/ Dolphin HD Browser. As stated above, you need to go to the dolphin browser setting and set user agent to desktop mode and set enable plugins (under advanced) to always.

Didn't work
Didn't work for me. Hulu gives me a message that Hulu requires at least flash version 10.0.32... Was fun playing though. First time I've used root explorer. I'm impressed.

You need to install Adobe Flash from the market first... probably was uninstalled during gingerbreak or flashing sbf.
1) Uninstall adobe flash
2) reboot for good measure
3) install a fresh adobe flash from the market
4) Follow the instructions in the post, replacing the correct flash file and making sure the stock one was either overwritten or deleted.
5) reboot for good measure

I tried installing Android Market using the copy to device and load with Root Explorer method and was only partially successful. I get forced close messages when running the market app. At one point I had the Market app working but it would not complete any downloads. Now I just get the message "process.com.android.vending has stopped unexpectingly."
I am not sure what state the Kindle Fire is now in. When I try to reinstall Google Feedback, it will not let me. Previously, I ran SuperOneClick and rooted the device with no problems. Now when I re-run the root command, it gets to step 7 (Wait for Device) and hangs. What apps and data do I have to eliminate to get back where I can try to install Android Market again?
P.S. I also get a forced close message on the eBay app but it will then run it okay.
You have the latest version of the KF v6.2.1 that has broken root capabilities.
You lost root and super one click no longer works.

Looks like you fell into the 6.2.1 trap. You'll have to wait until someone finds a way to root 6.2.1 but I don't know if there will be such a thing.

how come you cant update supersu??
I tried this method to root my device, I have a BBY build. The application says it rooted okay. When I reboot the device and try to install BusyBox it says it doesn't get a response from the device. When I check root with Root Checker Basic it says that the device is not rooted. Any thoughts on what I might be missing?
Is the super user app installed?

its safe to update it now..before it would remove superuser and you would have to factory reset the re-root
To the OP, it looks like you just reposted the work of twenty-three pin from here:
https://translate.google.de/transla...sts/247110-merry-christmas&edit-text=&act=url
Too bad when you were stealing someone else's work you didn't work slowly enough to notice that he mentions that the Asus 572C should use V2 of his work:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ui9ipe786dulj98/AsusIntelRootKitv2.zip
Hope this helps someone.
If you check the commands int the .bat file, you will see they are different... Its just basic fastboot commands. And as of recent updates the me572 can't be rooted using this method. So I'll head back to the drawing board as soon as I get time to

This guide is for ROOTED AND NON ROOTED USERS]Ok so guys. I was just messing around because this auto update thing was annoying and found every single guide out there. Non of them did the job well. One even freezed the download at 100% but still in memory -_-
Soo I decided to do my digging myself and traced the exact sequence of the update to its core programs and believe it or not it doesn't even have the name ota or anything like that on it!
You can either do this rooted or unrooted but more efficient as root
It can work on any version as long as you see this program present>>>Amazon Device Client Platform or ADCP
Now I'm using a 3rd generation rooted and everything modded kindle (except custom Rom) but I am busybox and whatever
Which can be obtained by just downloading this loving program courtesy of peniscorp.com..if you wanna know if it works for you just download E.S file manager...goto /device and yes you can go there without root ..just go there and open build.prop and look.for Soho...if u see it...you're good to go ...
NOW LETS CUT TO THE CHASE
Step 1. Press the thanks.button down below
Step 2 Make sure u do number 1 lol
Step 3. Goto your device settings
Step 3 goto applications
Step 4 goto Manage applications
Step 5 in the drop down menu (assuming all versions have it )
And press "all applications"
Step 6 look for the program "ADCP" or Amazon Device Client Platform
Step 7 as non root user you can just fc it and clear data and cache and just avoid checking for updates! We don't wanna remind the device it should be installing updates
HOWEVER IF YOU ARE ROOTED
You could just fc it and use Droidwall or any other firewall app and look for that sucker and block it!
Don't ever try to uninstall it!
Rooted or not rooted ..those pesky updates won't bother u again!
Ps.
Droidwall is available on play store ...you can sideload it of course ..and the app it self has a pretty decent GUI so I don't think I need to get into detail on using the app
Well that's it folkes and believe me NO other ota update blocker works for the kfhd 7 2013 3rd generation and I have Looked everywhere and followed EVERY guide
They are Soo not fool.proof
So there you go guys hope it works as it did for me !
