fully charge your phone and go into clockwork>advanced>clear battery stats. That should help after using/charging the phone a few times. Search Calibrating battery here on xda to go a little more indepth on how to fully calibrate your battery so its in sync with the phone.

[Help] Battery charge

Hello guys,
I have a big issue and I'm affraid not to damage my device.
Here's what's happening:
When I've first started using Android builds...my phone batt. was charging to 100%.
After testing and playing with different builds..it would only charge up to 97%.
After even more testing...it only charges up to 95%.
I've always done a task29 before installing a new ROM, I've formatted the SD card each time as well.
Do you know what is going on? I'm affraid that when I leave the phone charging, it won't stop doing it (the led is orange and the icon of charging is there) thus damaging the batt or the device.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help.

I guess the answer you're gonna get from others is "Search before asking". I won't do so though. The answer might be you are using old kernel, updating kernel should work. Alternatively, switch to WinMo and charge it to full, and boot Android.
You should not let baterry drain to 15%-20% while using Android also
Let you phone charge to 100% in WM and then boot into android.

Charge to 100% in winmo. Leave it still plugged in, and boot android. That way the 100% caries over to android.
why we not sould let batery drain to 15%-20% while using Android
???

This question is way hard for me lolz. Really, I do not know the answer, just an experience I collected from other posts. I guess draining too deep out of HD2 Android will make the battery reading function work improperly
Thanks guys!
Will check if charging to 100% in WinMo and then booting into Android works and let you know.
I'm using the latest kernel available.
some users have reported that letting the battery drain completely in android corrupts the file system on the sdcard. so best to charge when nearly empty or switch off/boot into WM until you can find a power source.
Something that worked for me!
I had the same issue. Charged till 100% for the first few days. Then it used to top at 97%...95...and finally today at 92%. What I do is I let it charge till the led goes green(In android), and then I switch it off and take the battery out. Leave it for a few minutes. Then put the battery in and boot to android. Voila! 100%!
I guess its something to do with the batterys memory or something. It just needs a resetting from time to time.
I also experience the same. When I boot android with battery fully charged, it shows 100%, but when I charge it while running android, it shows max around 90%, even when fully charged. After reboot it shows 100% again.
I do not think it is the battery, but the linux driver.
Moreover, when I boot android when charger is plugged in, the LED does not lit and android does not report charging. When I unplug and plug in the charger, android shows charging and the LED lit orange/green.

and i'll be lurking you buddy. seriously. every thread i see you post in usually it's about somthing starting somthing with somone...
I hope someone figures this mystery out soon, this is driving me crazy. When I first started running Shubcraft 1.4d everything was PERFECT. Battery charged fully with no problems & I got great mileage out of it. Then I installed the 1.5 update & it just stopped charging properly. Now no matter what I do it won't fully charge even though I've reverted back to 1.4d. I've tried charging in WM then booting into android, deleting the batterystats.bin file through terminal, letting it die completely then recharging it, all with no luck. Tonight I think I might try fully charging in WM & doing a clean reinstall of Android.

This does work perfect - it appears calibration of the needs this to happen from time to time... I am pushing for 2 weeks now without taking battery out - so it works fine...
Besides this - battery improvement on my end was gained by installing Auto Killer and uninstalling setCpu and all Task Manager Killers, etc...
Just quick sugg for better battery life... (from 12%/hr stand-by I am now easily geting 5%/hr with light usage)...

Shut Down after battery 20%

Hey,
I have just recently noticed a weird problem on my Arc..
When the battery goes below 20% it shuts down (similar to the way how it would shut down when the battery is out).
Then I need to connect the charger and switch it on, after which the battery will show at 1% and in 5 mins it will change to 21-22%...
so basically below 20% the phone thinks its actually ran out of battery even though it hasnt and hence shuts down..
any ideas about what could be causing this? is it a problem with my phone or the battery?
thanks

Have you try to clear the battery stats?
You need to be rooted to do that (I hope everyone knows that )

First thing you need to have "root". If you don't haven't rooted, use GingerBreak to root. Search the forum for the thread.
Second install Battery Monitor Widget from Market. Open the application (This is a widget. So you may want to insert the widget in your home screen), press menu and click "Statistics" option and it will prompt you for confirmation. Once done reboot to make sure it's cleared properly (Not necessary, but recommended).
Hope this resolves your issue.

I had a similar problem with my arc after charging it for the first time (charged it till 100% with the phone turned on). Then, after I used the phone, when it reached 10%, it just shut down. Then I decided to charge it with the phone turned off and this really helped. After two full charging cycles, the battery is acting normal. Now my arc shuts down at 2% which I think is normal.
Clearing battery stats has worked so far...thanks a lot...

Hi,
Use "Battery Calibration" from market, required root. This app do the trick.
Bye
Idk

I second that.
Have you tried it yet? Does it work for you?
I have seen some (slightly) weird behaviour on my Tab. When I charge to 100% (in off state) then turn tab on (with charger still plugged in) I only ever get to 99%.... I suspect my charger may not be quite 5v (or whatever) or the device drains enough charge / sucks enough juice to not let it ever get to 100% while turned on. Slightly weird... but of no real practical concern.
I noticed with my evo amd tab that if i leave them on the charger all night they drop percentahe very quickly like within a minute ill be down to 98%. I read somewhere to charge with unit on also. When i charge til they are full and pull them off they hold 100% for a while depending on usage.

[Q] Galaxy S plus (GT-i9001) suddenly reboots

Hi,
My SGS+ suddenly shuts down (edit: its not actually rebooting as the title proclaims, I'm sorry). This happens at random moments. I'm thinking this is to blame about the battery, let me explain why: I pull my SGS+ off the charger and just use it. After a while, with the battery at 97% for instance, it suddenly shuts down. After rebooting my battery level is below 10%. When recharging, it recharges within 15 minutes back to a 100%. I've wiped the batt stats several times but this doesn't solve the problems I'm experiencing.
Any one knows what might be up here?

There's no swelling and no oxidization, but I've ordered a new original pack anyways.
Hi,
I have the exact same issue you describe. Did changing your battery fix the issue? It would be great to know if this is the cause or not...
Thanks!

Battery problems

Hi everybody !
I have a problem with my note 4 since few days, my battery indicator shows 40 or 20% of battery left but it shutdown itself and reboot.
After that, it shows 0% of battery left and have to plug my phone.
I already tried to wipe caches and battery status with a root app but it does nothing :roll eyes:
My phone have 535 cycles of charge, maybe my battery is already dead ?
For info: i am on Kyubi 2.2 rom, but i've noticed the problem on COI3 Stock/unrooted.
Does anyone have a solution for me? Thank you in advance :good:
No solution, but same problem on 5.0.1. Mine dies at 15%

Search first, there are several thread already discussing about this problem.
It's because of your battery has degraded through time.
My problem seems to be resolved for the moment, i don't think my battery is dead yet...
Battery is faulty, please replace.
