Frostwire ..... will cause wifi to nolonger work.... it sum how reconfigures the wifi settings. u will have to master reset in order to fix the issuse

its around 6months, m using a PPC. now i have learnt a lot abt it, got familier with it. but still i dont know much of the things related to it.
Few things i wntd to know :-
1) Whts a Radio image
2) Wht is SPL
3) Can i enable GPS & WIFI in my GENE and HOW
4) Can i have a Radio (like In P3300) so tht i can listen to the local stations.
5) how can i create my own ROM.
Now few Problems with my GENE.
1) bluetooth does not work properly.
2) how to use bluetooth explorer
3) uses only 20mb of RAM (and it decreases it usage, even after closing all apps.)
4) gives GWES.EXE error.
5) network connection a;so takes a lot of time.
6) sends single SMS multiple times when i send it to more then 1 person at a time. (i mean while group msging)
i hard reset my ppc my a times but the problems persists.

For group sms check Skb Group SMS 3.03 and Group SMS v1.0.
i am using vodafones (mobile connect is a 24 hrs free internet service) and it automatically activated gprs ya need to soft reset it and its working fine. i was able to call skype from my mobile install fring. its not that fast but good for text and checking mails.
I am 99% sure it has no wifi, think u need to buy a sd wifi card.
rest if i find answers in xda i will text u. or whenever possible. see u

Radio i mage is associated with the hardware and network ..Its some thing like BIOS in a computer and thats the one which decides the network range , battery life and stability of your device(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2161276#post2161276 )
hard spl ; When you buy a phone which is factory imaged , its core ROM is locked by the manufacturer inorder to prevent unauthorised flashing of ROM's and creating problems. By Doing Hard SPL We basically Unlock the CID lock by the manufacturer which would intern allow us to try these New ROM's available in the forum `( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2159381)
there is no GPS or Wifi hardware inbuilt in P3400,D600 ( Gene) you have to use external Device and pair it with Bluetooth ( SATGUIDE in india ) but its very expensive - the best thing is download google maps and activate GPRS in your phone , it works almost like GPS.
WIfI can be activated by using a SDIO card ( its basically a SD card which has Wifi capabilities ) so you have to buy that card and activate Wifi (http://www.socketmobile.com/products/oem/wireless-lan/ )
4. Radio ...? no at all.. Unless they discover some thing like SD Card FM radio .

Inherited a Stealth few weeks back but i realised that the Wireless option (to turn it on and off) doesnt work, nothing happens when i try to turn on my wifi, so i did a hard reset, but after the hard reset, it doesnt even detect or show up my wireless options. Any ideas guys?
What ROM are you using ??? I had a similar problem with my stealth for over 6 months after upgrading ROM....I tried every thing including careful changes in registry ....the problem was only solved after downgrading to the original ROM more than once ....I still get minor problems when WIFI wouldnot load but works after repeated soft reset ....I suggest you try to soft reset few times an see if this solves the problem....best of lucks....

I am using WWE_RM061208. Everytime i restart the phone it says, "Unrecognized card in slot" i am assuming this is the wifi card? any ideas? which version rom should i be using? It asks me to enter the device driver/name or something. thanks.
The unknown card is the wifi card....I used to get this notification daily for over 6 months when the wifi was not working .....Try soft-reset few times and if the notification disappears then wifi should work.....Is your ROM Original or cooked???? have you upgraded the ROM at all??

Yes i have upgraded the ROM from www.mwg.com but it doesnt really do much, some of the settings still are around. Any suggestion which ROM should i use? What ROM are u using man? I tried soft reseting a few times but it doesnt work, it still comes up.
The ROM from mwg is original and I used it for downgrade from wm6 (YUC)..... is the wifi working when you hard reset the device ????....I used yuc wm6 but because of wifi problem there, I downgraded from mwg and then upgraded again to yuc wm6 from here

Hello All,
Since a fortnight, am observing strange problems within Network (clogs) and Virus Attacks on my Internet Cable based connection. This is a 256 Kbps line.
Problem I can see is:
a) A script or attacked is launched from a remote server/machine. It's domain address is 222360.com. Attacks happened from union.222360.com, s.222360.com and now with v.222360.com.
b) Once the scripts is launched (.js script), it gets hooked within my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.11).
c) Then, my internet activity will be disrupted severely for some time!! (can't open any page). I am using "Adblock Plus" within Firebox to block this script off.
d) Is there is no script, an attacked is launched on the open HTTP ports or on Yahoo Messenger.
e) Ultimately, an attack is made in form or Trojan or Exploit to gain access or to steal information from my system.
I can see the following logs from the NAV 2007 firewall.
I have similar problems with my stealth..

My wireless manager only shows Bluetooth and Phone..
No more Wi-Fi thing..
It happen when i downgrade it to WM5,i got it from mwg..
When i'm using Yuc's WM6 sometimes the wifi works,sometimes it doesn't..
So i decided to downgrade it..
But now i can't use my wifi anymore..
I've been Downgrade and re-upgrade it like 4 times and that long processes did nothing for me..
Anyone have similar problems?

I had a similar problem with wifi for over one year . I had to down and upgrade my stealth 3 or 4 times and finally worked alone after repeat soft reset ...another problem is that you may see wifi icon but doesnot work on pressing it...try removing the battery for 6 to 12 hours and restart again...now at this time I did soft reset for my stealth and the wifi didnot load but iam sure it will work after few hours or tomorrow

Actually i would like to ask somebody's help about ZiIME.CAB.. i deleted phoneime.dll but still can't delete zisip_Opt.dll.. it said "Cannot delete file ZiSip_Opt:the file may be in read-only memory,on a write-protected disk,or currently in use by another applications"
is there another way to delete this file?
Secondly how to kill "cprog.exe" in Task Manager?

i still have problem with the sounds and music
everytime when i stop using gprs
after about minutes the g or e icon changes to left and right crossed icon and then all the sounds of the fon get lower and the playback speed becomes fast
its so disturbing and i cant even hear the ring
non of roms have helped its all the same with every of them
i wonder if anyone could help please

sorry but i cant use another sim card or network
i can connect to gprs but after awhile after usage it goes down a again
its like that the fone wants to be connected all the time
try this... use the phone (play MP3s) in Airplane Mode (remove the sim card)... if the problem is resolve then it's really the sim card that's causing the speed up/volume decrease problems.
my Viva is not having the problem anymore after using another network's sim card.

after i check airplane mode and going back to normal mode, the speed and volume rate goes back again but again after a while it happens ...
it should be the sim problem but isnt there anyway to fix this?from where i live theres not that much option to choose other sims,

Yea rem is right, i also noticed this from a long time, its related to sim (opearator). The current sim iam using now doesnt have that prob.

some certain apps which i install always want to connect and thats the reason why the fon wanna be connected all the time
not exactly sure which one but i guess i should lower the amount of them and only choose some which are really needed
so i did a hard reset and the problem was solved

u can use a mobile firewall to block all ur network activity and the apps which want to connect
as long a i cannot add a link so u can search for Airscanner® Mobile Firewall

I am facing a problem here... my phone loses connectivity to data services once on sleep mode and applications like whatsapp only respond when I open the application. Basically push service seems to be stuck.. I tried everything.. switching ROMS, switching Kernels... and switching Basebands... but in vain!!! Ironically everything works fine on wi-fi & i get push messages swiftly.
I strongly feel that this could be a baseband issue and as you all know we cant downgrade our baseband anymore.. I am on UBUBMH1 modem.. iI think so because when i was XXXMEA then I wasn't facing any such problems related to connectivity..can anyone suggest any resolution of wither how can I downgrade my baseband or what can I do to sort this out..

Hi developers. I have a serious problem after on week useing yotaphone 2 Yd206. Wifi doesn't work anymore and disabled suddenly! even mac address and other features are lost... please help me to fix that cause i'm not an developer and i have no idea what to do. i have installed many apps and don't want to rest my phone to factory status. #HELPPPPPPP

I think only possibilities is a factory reset
Unfortunately i do and loose my data... Wifi is ok now but i'm just confuse why that happened?!!!
