I have a mytouch,4g and my son dropped it, its dented in on the right bottom now and when I try and turn it on it just stays on the mytouch 4g screen and doesnt do anything else. I was wondering if it could be fixed or is it just a waste now?

Make sure the SD Card is seated properly. If you have apps on the SD that could cause it. If not try booting into recovery and do a wipe.
Yeah the sd card is in good and I tried to hard reset still stays there and no apps was on the sd card everything was internal.

Sounds like a stuck pixel. There are many screen test apps in the market, pick one and see how it runs
Yes, i tried some apps but it didnt solve the problem. Is there some app that can fix the bad pixel?

My girlfriends rooted (MIUI) evo is not registering all keys. I have tried cyanogen and miui.us 1.7.1 and 1.7.8. They keyboard functions but misses I, k and n.
I noticed actually that it effects the screen keyboard or not and doesn't register in that specific grid. Any tips? We've tried reflashing and wiping data etc. Nothing seems to be working.

When the keyboard isn't up, do those areas of the screen register?
No they don't.

Sounds like a defective screen.
If you have TEP the Sprint store can assist you.
Just recently occurred though. The device hasn't been hit with any excessive shock and the screen shows no signs of damage. Well see what we cab do though

It may just be defective.
Electronics fail.
My Evo's back button light went out the other day and it's never been dropped.
Happens.
Bummer. Guess I'll have to unroot it so she can turn it in and get it replaced.

Yeah, as long as there's no obvious physical damage it should be a very quick repair process.
... But now it seems like I'm getting terrible data speeds! Can the person that installed my screen have somehow damaged my antenna? Is that even possible?
Is there a way I can open it up and check?
Man, after replacing my screen, my fone just doesn't seem the same...

Is this on a particular ROM or on all ROMs? Perhaps your power button or trackpad are going bad?

This might be caused by either connecting Ur phone to a faulty charger or a faulty laptop(power surge). It happened to me once. By then I was using a Nokia e75. And I was charging it at a friend's place.it was connected to his laptop which was using a charger which had a low voltage than what the pc needed, whenever the laptop was disconnected from the power source it just goes off, reason being the charger is unable to charge the battery. So the electricity went off and came back and before I realized, there was that line on the screen. It was just a line at first but continued to spread. So I guess u have to change the screen or LCD .
