Hi, I have just taken my old dell streak back to o2 and exchanged it as there was a fault with it, I did update it manually from 1.6 to 2.1 and now this no one is 1.6 and i cant stay on 1.6 untill 2.2 is here, so i wanted to know if i updated it by putting the 2.1 o2 pkg on sd card, will i still get the 2.2 ota update when o2 release it?

yes u will..if u update to the 2.1 8105 build...
and even if u do to the leaked 6941 u can always download the 2.2 update and install it whenever it comes..

Hi thanks for your help, i jusr got the .pkg how would i know what build it is? is there any difference from 8105 and 6941?

There is no "AKU 2.23" Rom 2.23.11.1 is the reported Rom Version for the (hopefully) soon to be officially released Cingular AKU 2.2 Rom.
The Rom that Summiter built uses a Rom Image from a phone with the 2.23.11.1 Rom Installed
i tried the 2,2 rom above and i was having wi fi problems...
im trying to install now the 2.17.7.102
When im updating now though i notice that the app on pc still shows me having a 1.2.0.0 rom?

I think I will wait a little longer.
The reason is it works so good with this rom I don't want to take the risk.

could you provide a link to the one you are using.. i dont know why im having these issues with wifi? i didnt have this problem with the stock cingular one. i cant access any page in pie

i have from today htc hd2 on contract from o2,and after reading about this phone i was find out i have all old softwares,i was trying update on htc web site but this link dont like me after when i was writing my serial number.
At the moment i have OS.Vers:5.2.21864(21864.5.0.81), Manila vers: 2.5.19202525.0 and my ROM Version is !!! : 1.43.206.4 (70315)WWE ,well to be honest with you guys im not sure what to do with that?i was upgrade from that popular iphone3gs,they don't do it this for the users buuuu

what version were you trying to upgrade to?
If you only just got it today, try it for a bit first, i got an o2 one two weeks ago, no problems at all. Dont go rushing to update if you dont have to till you need to.
The O2 HD2 also have a branded ROM, so you wont be able to download from HTC unless O2 permit. Even if you get a hold of the ROM it will still fail unless you HSPL (or other method).
As samsamuel said. I've also not had the problems that others have written about. That's probably the reason O2 haven't issued an upgrade.

at present you cant upgrade unless you hack the phone using hspl or wait for an offical rom from o2
I have a debranded Legend and currently I'm on 2.03.405.3 software (flashed with RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7.08.35.21_release_130330_signed) and I'm not getting any OTA updates...
I've made several hard resets and no way: it says my device is up-to-date.
1. What is your software version right now?
2. Why isn't my Legend getting the OTA updates, any ideas?
P.S: My Legend is originally from Vodafone ES

Well because there's NO UPDATE!! 2.03.405.3 is the latest WWE, 2.05 WWE was pulled because of the SMS sorting bug

I have the 7299 streak too... i bought it in hong kong.... i habe tried flashing it to the O2 eclair roms and found them lagging and not as good as the original 1.6..... i guess u have to wait for the official 2.2 from dell

I have a O2 UK branded SGS, I updated it to the unbranded 2.2 JPO using the Kies registry hack.
Now that O2 UK 2.2 is out, can I trick kies into thinking I have a old JM1 firmware and let it reinstall the branded 2.2?
Or will this cause problems?

my mistake, seems like O2 is not out yet.
Just wanted to know if it is possible, so I can update to O2 firmware if it fixes battery drain and zip code bugs.
Yes it is possible, using the registry hack but placing the old JM1 values in place of the JPO ones.
