I have 2 SIMS on Cingular. Is there anyway to show the phone number active on the today screen? This would help quickly identify which SIM is active. I've been looking without success. Thanks!
There are a few products that allow you to have 2 simcards in a phone ( you have to cute the little chip part out on both sims and put them in an adapter) I have heard that you usually get a pop-up on the phone saying what sim card to you want to use.
its something I am looking in to after I found out that T-moible allows you to get prepaid wifi/t-zones. I would get a tmoible prepaid and use it with my phone (cingular) but I dont know if I will be able to switch back and forth ( I know it requires a restart to switch)
there are alot of adapters that can be used to switch the SIMS. but what i am looking for is a program that shows the SIM phone number on the today screen to show me exactly which SIM is active.
SIM manager (in programs), can show you the number, but i have to load it each time. pain in arse. i just want to see it on the front page. any program that can do this?
there is a program called WIVIT that shows the number, but it doesn't work on WM5
i found a french site that may help ( use your fav translator)

cant the owner info built in today thingy show the phone number? would that work?
Greetings everyone
I am wondering if some of you would be able to provide suggestions as to why I can not connect to the mobile internet network when using an O2 (UK) sim card.
When ever I need a data connection the snapvue attempts to connect but eventually it tells me that it "cannot connect for an unknown reason". I am still able to send and receive text messages and phone calls.
I have spoken with O2 and they tell me it is the snapvue settings even thought that appear to be correct.
I have used the sim card in other HTC phone and I still have the same problem. This leads me to suspect that it is the sim card that is causing the problem.
I hope that someone may have an idea.
Thank you for all your help.
Can you test the same SIM card in a 3G USB dongle or a phone to see if it works in something else?
I Have used the sim card in another HTC phone and it didn't connect then. I don't have access to a dongle but I am going to try the sim card in a 3rd phone running WM, tonight? I shall report back.
And the report is, the same message kept appearing, cannot connect for an unknown reason. I am thinking it is the sim card? does anyone have any other thoughts?
Hello All,
I've bought my AT&T SGT 2 wks ago and absolutely love it. Just out of curiosity, can I make music hub app work on the tab without having it flashed? Since whenever I execute the app, there is an error saying that "Application not supported in this country or no SIM installed".
Also one more curious qn : can we unlock the device without flashing it as well?
Thanks all
I purchased an formerly Verizon S4 (I545.07) for use as a media player. I have no need for cell service currently. (I may get a cheap pay-as-you-go kind of service for emergencies, but that will be later. It is my understanding that it is automatically "unlocked", as it was a originally for Verizon.)
In order to get it to work as my media player, I had to remove the sim card to get past the "authroization" stage. Whenever I try to use the software updater, it says that it can't update. Is it possible to update the software without having cell service? Is that something that I would have to do through my PC instead of directly through the phone app?
I am an Australian citizen and bought a dual sim S8 (SM-G950FD) a few years ago on Kogan. Apparently they import these phones but I have had no trouble using it with a kogan (vodaphone) sim card. Only problem is that although Samsung Pay works fine, I do not get the transport card option that would allow me to tap my smart watch on the Opal Card reader without activating my watch. Works on Opal Readers but Need to activate Samsung Pay first which is more painful than using a regular opal card. I checked the CSC on my phone and its XME so I think the phone thinks its a Malaysian region phone so I do not get the transport card option which is for Australia only.
Not sure what my options are. I think it is possible to flash a new CSC to my phone.
Problem is that my USB connector has stopped working for data - still works for charging for now although its slow.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
