Not sure, but this is a theme, so it should not impact that.
That will probably be a framework amendment

Hello,
The rom I am using doesn't let me install the htc note widget.
It downloads, shows that it is installing but somehow it fails.
Can anyone who's using 2.2 give me the com.htc.rosiewidgets.note.apk?

Thank you! I tried installing it myself and couldn't find it under /system/app..
I couldn't get the apk to install, where should I put it?
I don't see anything after copying it to /system/app
It should be under widgets when you hold on a home screen, I'd imagine
I also have the same issue. Is it because I am using A2SD+ in my R9 WIP rom?
Thanks
Ever since I downloaded the Liberty ROM i haven't been able to get my camera working. At first it worked but I didn't like the camera that came with the Liberty ROM. So I tried to install the Blur camera out of the Liberty toolbox but that didn't work, instead my camera stopped working all together and now I have nothing. Does anyone know what to do?
Did you do a backup before installing the new camera? If I was in the position that I did not backup hi would reinstall the Liberty right over top of itself. I just did exactly that because after testing out the themes my phone kinda went funky. I just reinstalled Liberty and it wiped out the themes. Thus, fixing my issue. Btw, JRummy and KeJar, props. Excellent build my friends.

Are u on the 2.3.15 update or 2.3.34 update? If on 3.15 it will not work due to incompatible library files. If you want to stay on the 3.15 update, let me know. I think I have the library files you need.

Either use the stock 2.3.340 rom or use drod 2169 rubix blurry 1.8
Blurless roms dont use it, it is a blur component.
Ps please post questions in the appropriate forum and thread, dont hijack someone else's. Thank you

When, earlier, you said "Are u on the 2.3.15 update or 2.3.34 update?" Were you referring to Liberty or something else?
Oh wait, nvm - I just read your other post and figured out what you were talking about. So let me see if I'm understanding - even though there is an option to download/install the blur camera out of the Liberty toolbox it's not going to work b/c Liberty isn't a blur ROM?

ok, let me see if I can get you back on track =)
When I talk about the 2.3.15 vs 2.3.340 update, I am referring to the updates that Verizon has released for the Droid X. Unfortunately since you already have Liberty installed on your phone, there is not a super easy way to tell.
If you turn your phone off and then before turning it back on, hold down the "volume down + camera button + power button". Your screen will blink, then show a bootloader screen, and your bootloader version.
If it says 30.03, then you are most likely still on 2.3.15 update, and that is why you are experiencing camera problems (more than likely). If it says 30.04, then you should be up to date with the latest OTA from Verizon. If this is the case, I'm not sure why the camera is not working for you.
The blur camera works even though it is a blurless ROM. My guess would be (I haven't gotten very deep into Android dev work yet) is that the Blur camera is not dependent on other Blur .apk files or services. This would be why people have been able to add the blur camera back in...
Hope this helps.
Yeah I have the 30.04

Hm... Someone else was having this problem too. I would suggest making a backup, then try reflashing liberty. If you want to be completely thorough, you could sbf and factory reset, and then reflash liberty... But i would see if u can do some more searching online before wiping everything out.

Sorry for the retarded question, but why would I need to install a theme to get the camera working?
I am having the same issue with the camera not working. When I open the camera app, it opens but when I take a picture the screen goes black and then the app crashes.
I have tried installing the blur camera and ASOP camera from Liberty Toolbox.

Have you upgraded from 2.3.315 to 2.3.340 ?
That has been the camera issue plus other issues for many phones.
Yes I am. I checked by holding down volume down + camera + power button, and it says 30.04

few thing you can try I had the same issue awhile back.
* Delete the camera in the SD > Liberty folder > download folder, on your SD card
*Delete camera in Settings> apps folder then reinstall the camera you want
If no luck ...
* reinstall Liberty right over existing Liberty NO wipes.
A combination of above will get you going..
Hey Guys,
I really like the option to turn the SMS MMS app into black in cyanogen so i replaced my oxygen app with the one from cyan7. But is there a way to get a black GMail app? Or did i just not find that option?
Thx a lot!!!

Would be nice if someone could make a 2.3 based black one. The text is black so you would have to edit the xml files to make the text white or light grey.
Ive tried this before on other apps, but unfortunately it is beyond me.

On a slightly related note, I've installed the black Mms.apk from the C7 via adb but it keeps reverting to the regular one on reboots. Any ideas?
EDIT: I pushed via adb and set the permissions and it's all good.
Thanks for your work! Black GMail would be awesomesauce! However I've tried to install it and I get "not installed" error. I'm using Redux 1.0 ROM. I didn't uninstall original GMail app first because uninstall button isn't enabled and it can't be pressed. I'm sure this is what causes error, any idea how get rid of GMail?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Use ADB if you're not S-OFF to remove Gmail.apk from /system/app then push the black one I posted to /system/app.
Make sure the permissions are the same as the other apps in that location.
Boot into recovery, wipe dalvik cache and reboot.
If you're S-OFF you can do the above through root explorer or similar...
Should be ok.

Brilliant thanks for that. Its not quite black, but the text is white, so possibliy I can edit the grey to black if it is controlled by .png files. It is version 2.3 too, which is the latest version that works for me.

Hi,
can I use this apk on my Desire rooted and without any rom??
I run CM 7 RC (Honeybred theme) and as much dark as possible (although never only black). I try to get working as much as possible from the brilliant dark mods in here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/blacked-out/
There's updated GMail apks available there too.

and also you can extract the apk , replace the gmail app it in the SYS/APP folder
and flash you rom , it will work also

Yep and unlike 2.3.2, it actually works. I liked the 2.3 one I was using but would have preferred grey for unread email and black for read email not the other way around.
Thanks, this will help make Android more unified.

I'll (try) to help;
1st: Using adb, push the mms.apk from Cm7 to /system/app on your wildfire
2nd: Reboot your phone and you should have the CM7 sms app
Do try and tell if you encounter any problems
Installing mms.apk like any other app might not work. (Says problem parsing the package).
And even if u replace it into sense rom.zip and flash through custom recovery, it might not work. Checked with an old sense rom. Don't know about latest ones.
Maybe due to the reasons,
CM7 is 2.3 Aosp and sense rom is 2.2
Sense Messaging app has sense HTC widget.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
