Hi All,
I'm in PST zone, and ever since I got the Dell Streak 3 weeks ago, I experienced the clock runs faster than the real time issue. Even I set it using 'manual', it still goes faster...
Has anyone else experienced this as well? any fix?
Thank you,
Tom.

Has anyone else had any issues with their streak randomly dropping from an almost full battery to barely anything? Over the past few days I've noticed mine has heated up then dropped to less than 10% from over 85%. I've also seen a couple of the phones returmed because of this where I work so just wondering if any of you guys have experienced similar problems?
I've checked all my apps to make sure none are powering on and draining the battery and my useage hasn't changed either so I'm all out of ideas.

Not had any problems like that and i don't think i have read of anyone else experiencing them. It may be worth a call to Dell
My Streak has done this a few times in the few weeks I've had it, but at the moment it's chewing through power at a stupid rate every day. I assumed it was something I'd downloaded so was considering a hard reset one evening this week...
I have found android.process.media often chomping 85-99% of my processor so I keep killing it which helps, but obviously I don't know the underlying problem. A quick Google showed that someone else had one particular file that was causing it, but deleting the same file didn't work for me.
I'll let you know if a hard reset helps, otherwise it's back to the O2 shop
O2 are sending me a replacement tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes!

Hey,
Just the other day my phone started doing the strangest thing. The time is not accurate, or at least it isnt for long. It is fine when you boot the phone and it auto-updates time from the network, but after a few hours it is off. For example, its current 2:10p, but my phone said 2:23. I enable\disable airline mode, which causes it to resync with the network, and it corrects itself.
I just applied JAC's OCv3 kernel 2 days ago, but I didnt notice any issues until today. Anyone else having a similar issue? It is quite annoying when you cant rely on your cell phones clock lol
Thanks!
Never seen that issue but I have the stock kernel, so maybe it is that. Anyone else have this problem with the kernel in the OP?
Thats SOOO strange, Ill post in the kernel thread as well to see if anyone else is having that issue.
No issues here, bud. Flashed OCv3 this morning and my clock has been spot on all day.

Okay, so I compared the clock to an "accurate" clock, and its only counting 57 seconds to each minute. WTF?!?!
I am flashing back to SC9 to see if it also has the issue. will report back
I've been running SC9 since yesterday morning and haven't had an issue yet. I also have a ext4 partition if that matters.

Hi there,
I bought a Galaxy S3 in the beginning of July and it's been great. Everything running smoothly, no problems whatsoever, excellent battery life. I've been getting 10 hours or more most days - I could not have been happier.
The phone is exactly as I bought it from the shop, with the exception that I'm running Nova launcher instead of the stock launcher.
However, The phone downloaded an update in early August and since then I've been having problems. The phone is running as normal, then, for no apparent reason it gets insanely hot, seriously, I could probably iron a shirt with it if I wanted. This appears to drain the battery completely and the phone shuts down within an hour.
This is only happening since the phone downloaded the latest update, it never happened before that. Yesterday it didn't happen, I got the full day out of my phone, unplugged it at 8am and didn't have to plug it in until near 9pm. But most other days the phone is getting really hot at some stage between 11am and 1pm and the battery is dead within the hour. I haven't installed any new apps since before the last update.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be?? If you need any more information please let me know.
I'm running Android 4.0.4
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Its possible that ota update is not so good at it seems like and when you have running apps in background ( i assume). If i get your post correctly i asume that its ota update that causes your problems (correct me if im wrong) for more help go to s3 forums since this isnt s3 forum but samsung galaxy 3 one

Oh right, S3 again. And I was already wondering how the G3 could heat up that much by it's own components^^
Nevertheless I would recommend whereismydroidpower app.
oops! sorry guys, will repost.
thanks for the advice.
I have noticed that my nexus 10, which i received today, reboots itself whenver i put it in sleep mode. Also, when charging it turns itself off. These problems never occur during use, just when it is in sleep mode. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

I've seen this once. I'd just put the tab down, lock screen active but display still on and bam! I was pretty shocked.
I'd be much more pissed off if it happened during use though!
Mine has locked up about 5 times since yesterday.....

This was happening on mine as well. It stopped after I updated the device, so I think it might be a software issue.
There's a long thread on this in the Q&A section. A lot of people are noticing it. Hopefully Google fixes it in a software update soon.

Mine has stopped rebooting, but it still turns itself off after a few minutes of being asleep. Any solutions? Or should I consider a return?
4.2 definitely needs an update. Freezing everywhere, gesture typing is sluggish, reboots and lock-ups.....was not expecting this :/
Honestly, I've not experienced any of this. I'm only playing a few games and browsing mostly though so maybe I'm not doing something that triggers it. One of the N7's I bought did that, and I returned it. If you reflash the stock image and clear data and it still does this I would suggest getting a return. I've had no real software problems with mine.
Man, you all have me really worried. My wife bought me a n10, and it's sitting in the closet because it's a christmas present. If it's having software issues, that's one thing....hardware issues are a whole other animal..I need to make sure the hardware isn't bad before I miss out on the return period.

I had similar issues with the first one I received. CONSTANT reboots, occasional freezes and shutdowns. Returned it for a new one, which I received today, and for what it is worth, I haven't noticed the same problems at all yet with the new unit. So, at least in my case, it does appear to have been a hardware issue...
Just wondering if anyone knows what these spikes might signify?
I had a Nexus for 2 weeks and the last few days it was turning itself off like the issue here every night:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1830546
My post is there too. Previously, I only saw one spike with the old Nexus, now I see more.
I exchanged my Nexus 7 for a new one yesterday but does the battery still have issues? It doesn't turn off at night so far but my Battery Info graph shows even more spikes now.
Any engineer know if this is normal or safe?
Thanks!
Still happens
I exchanged the Nexus for a new one.
My NEW 32 tab worked out fine for a night and woke up today to the full battery indicator and tablet off again.
I have a new insight though, somehow the battery temp is rocketing to 100 and I'm guessing that is when it shuts off.
It may be because I am using SetCPU to limit my CPU speed to 300mhz when the screen is off. Maybe the tablet is trying to update all my apps while I am sleeping? It shouldn't use so much power though.
I'm going to try to create a new command to let it use it's whole CPU as long as it's on AC and screen off and see what happens tonight.
Some ppl reported that after official 4.2 update their battery drains while screen off. Issue was resolved with factory reset. I have same issue. Didn't had the time to do factory reset yet.

For me, I'm not running 4.2 or have i upgraded on this Nexus. On the first one i had, I did update, and it seemed to slow down the tablet.
This one was stock and then I rooted, put CM10 on it and then Franco Kernel.
This problem worries me because it makes me think something is traumatizing my tab enough to shut it down at night and I can't figure out what it is.
I don't know if I want to keep it if it is going to keep doing this. But I do love this tablet.
I wonder if this could be a cyanogen mod problem? I've read about some people having a power problem with cyanogen, nobody has said anything about their tablet getting bricked yet though. That's what I'm afraid of.
