Has anyone able to run paperdroid without a problem in CM 6.1 builds?
When I tried to access the preferences menu of paperdroid in any CM 6.1 build it just crashes. so the only option is to back it up in another build and restore in the CM build. Though this partially works, any time I need to change something in preferences menu, I have to repeat the same steps. Is there an alternative solution? Apparently, the developer stopped supporting paperdroid so waiting for updates is not an option.
Thanks in advance!

I have been having issues using custom roms on my phone. I tried installing several roms (stable releases) and my phone acts up in different ways. My recent attempt was with paranoid android 3.99 rc2 which I assumed is very popular so it should work well. The problem I am having is that it does not connect to the cell network at all (phone and data). If anyone has seen something like this before please let me know what I might be doing work. Thank you.
check you apn settings.
Hello,
Tried many custom roms but usually end up coming back to the offical AOKP rom for the N4. I like the options and speed of the rom, find it very stable and use the theme engine. I haven't tried their 4.3 roms as they are all nightlies and I am always led to believe these are a bit risky for using as a daily driver. I use my phone for work and important things.
I have stayed with 4.2, but the only issue I have found is that the camera flash does not work. I have tried the latest stable 4.2 release, but then under instruction by aokp him/herself flashed the last 4.2 nightly as I was told there was a camera fix for that release. This was a clean install, I wiped and flashed.
Unfortunately I still cannot get the camera flash to work. I know my phone is not faulty as the flash works fine in Beanstalk, CM and other roms.
Anyone else experienced this?
The nightly releases for AOKP 4.3.1 are stable. Just make s nandroid backup and install them.

ThemeManager crash with Franco/Hells kernel
Hi,
Did anyone had issue with ThemeManager. It's crashing always while restarting phone. I tried Franco/Hells kernel and it happens on both. It's working correctly on standard kernel. I tried to set up stock theme/clean data in application. Nothing helps.
Hi everyone,
I've had my RAZR M for just over a year now and I've had several different custom ROMs on it. Several months ago I updated to a newer CM 10.1 nightly and noticed horrible input lag. Scrolling in menus was extremely slow and apps took way longer than usual to open. I tried several different ways of wiping, flashing and installing the ROM but failed to solve the problem. I also tried all kinds of options in the developer menu and the performance settings. No dice.
I fell back to a stable 10.1 ROM until a few days ago when I decided to try the same thing with CM 11. The CM 11 ROM suffers from the same horrible input lag as the older CM 10.1 nightlies. All ROMs after a certain point have the same behavior (I don't know the nightly it started on sadly). I'd really like to use a newer ROM but the ROM is unusable with the input lag.
Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks for any input. I'll provide any additional info that helps.
Additional info:
Using TWRP 2.6.3 from here here
Getting my ROMs from the official cyanogenmod release.
I've tried many combinations of wiping everything but external SD while installing. Recently tried mounting /system while wiping but that didn't help either.
I've tried googling the problem and I've found some similar problems but no one seems to have found a solution.

The lag also happens on Carbon ROM when I tried it a few months ago.
Stock is better. We will have to wait for official 4.4 for a fix.
Some say my version of pure perfomance helps, I have not tried the cm ver much. Go dev section. Jeeko is back & said he would make a newer.
Hi,
The CM builds have a privacy option in settings. Is this something that is available in the google edition roms at all? I've tried running the new 4.4.3 but this doesn't appear to exist which is a shame for me. Is there somethign that can be used to replicate it (if it isn't available)?
thanks
Re:
This feature is build into every Android. On stock and many other ROMs, this feature is hidden. the cyanogenmod "Privacy" settings tab only brings app the "vanilla" AppOps interface that is hidden by default. If you run an Android version UNDER 4.4 you can access the Privacy menu on your device without root. But you say you updated to 4.4.3, so I bet you'll have to root to bring up the menu. With or without root, you should try this "App Ops" app. I used it before sticking to Cyanogenmod. App Ops by Lars Team (can not post link to store - low rep)
But just as a recommendation, if you want true privacy on Android, you need to ditch the Samsung and Google stock bloatware and get some clean and true Android like Cyanogen. My device is more secure than ever and boots almost instantly (set device to performance mode) with CM11. Anyway, if you have plans to root, (... and void your warranty...) do it with Cyanogenmod. For i9505 devices, there is Cyanogenmod Installer which automatically roots your device and loads recovery and Cyanogen, without any risk, except the risk of voiding your warranty and having the device display "Warranty Bit 0" when entering recovery.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
I've been running the nightlies for CM for quite a while now but fancied trying the GE ROM that danvd brought out with 4.4.3 (already supersu). I looked in settings and couldn't see the option though so wondered if it was CM only or something. Didn't realise it was just hidden (as I've just gone back to CM backup after going through it all (including having to go back to ext format too). WIll definitely look for the app ops in play. Thank you
HI all, its very confusing all development is on android 8.0+ we are having to reflash firmwares multiple times and reboots just to get the network to temporarily work and loose manual camera2API controls, why are we not still improving and working on nougat which seems to be the last version before we loose functionality?
if i am missing something obvious please can someone let me know as i am stuggling to find any sort of up-to-date rom! most recent i can find is MOKEE 13/12/18
thanks in advance, i would just like to have an up to date improved rom without having network or camera issues
