Good morning all,
Just a quick question. What version of 2.1 came official from o2 (8015, 8023,6941)? I ask because i have to send my streak back to dell for a warranty repair and dont want any complications.
Thanks in advance
what did you say is the reason you are sending your unit back?
Build 6941 is the official 2.1
it also should not really matter as dell will just wipe and do a functionality check.
make sure you flash the stock recovery!

Hi everyone,
I Want to roll back to the stock firmware... So a friend a mine is coming this evening, and he hasnt flashed his phone. So my question is, how can I flash his firmware on my phone?
TIA
hiraj
there is no need to... just download stock firmware from samsungfirmwareworld.com and flash with odin or try this...it worked for me..
1. connect ur fone with kies...
2. open regedit.
3.[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\DeviceDB\X]
"SoftwareRevision"="I9000DDJF3/I9000ODDJF3/I9000DDJF3/I9000DDJF3"
"ProductCode"="GT-I9000HKAINU"
"HIDSWVER"="I9000DDJF3/I9000ODDJF3/I9000DDJF3/I9000DDJF3"
"DEVCONINFO"=""
X = Device Number
4. then when you go back to kies and update firmware.. u will c upgrade option turned on.. just press it and u r back on original...
I know i did that before but I want to roll back to the real stock Ifi sell my phone my customer won't be satisfied since it s kinda unofficial
Does any one know how I can save the rom?

Does anyone have a suggestion how I can get back to the original Dutch stock rom with the telegraaf app and fileindex app?

You may want to look into using ROM manager on your friends phone to make a backup and then do a restore on your phone using the same program. Mind you: I don't know the implications considering serial numbers, product numbers and IMEI of using this route. Maybe someone else can chime in on that and be of help.
Good luck (and who reads De Telegraaf anyway )

First of all thanks for your tip! I hope someone else can add some more info about the implications.
And I dont read the telegraaf XD but I want to roll back to my original rom, my gps sucks right now, and with the original dutch firmware it worked great :S
I still think there must be a way to get the original dutch firmware through KIES with the right changes in Regedit can someone confirm this???
I need to reset my I9000 to stock so i can send it away under warranty, which ROM should i flash it with?
It came with Branded T mobile startup screen.
Thanks
There is no branded 2.1 rom you will need to wait for froyo. I have a back up of the non branded t-mobile rom but not the branded rom.

I see, i only want to send it back for gps issues with a hope to get a different handset so i dont mind waiting.
If i wait for the froyo release should that not be branded on the upgrade?
Also would i need to change my rom to the appropriate version?
Ta for the reply.

Would you mind uploading that back-up? It would be much appreciated
I used the Kies hack, but didn't know how to make a back-up

UnlockStreak's Dell Streak Unlocker version 1.30 was released April 2011. It now supports direct unlock:
This means:
No more SIM card needed to enter the unlock code because the software does it automatically. Just click and done.
Great for Softbank Dell Streak because Softbank's ROM prevented the "Enter Network Subset Code" message from popping up when inserting a non-Softbank SIM card. The old solution was to install a non-Softbank ROM but many failed and bricked their phone or it was just too complicated. With direct unlock, ROM flashing is not needed. Just start unlocking and forget about Softbank
If you already tried to flash your Softbank Streak, try to get it back to factory state by unrooting it (research XDA forum). Once you have the original Softbank ROM on it, unlock it.
Download the instructions guide to check (free) whether your Softbank Streak is really "unlockable":

Yes you can read reviews from Softbank people on the product site. There is a reviews section:

Dell streak unlocker
Works perfectly
Would anyone running a softbank rom be willing to upload a nandroid dump?
I have no dumps on any of them, any of 301/313/324/344 would be great and i'd be really grateful
I recoment it. I was unlock my dell streak to day just 1 time sucess full. It will populate if the price lower.
Thanks for dell streak software deverlopment.
Seems like Dell Streak 5 is still running strong in Japan.
Just got my play back frow warranty service. It had a borken or flex cable to the to screen so i could not see anything. Ofc i had a rom installed. So i went back to stock and took a relock bootloader ftf. Then i sent it away and woop got it back fixed So unlocking bootloader is fine if you relock it and then send it to warranty for hardware fixing. I'm not sure that this will work for all but they had also flashed the real original firmware before they sent it to me.
Have you guys been this lucky or is it common that they ignore bootloader history status when they fix hardware problems ?

As promised, I thought I would update you on my phone that I had recently sent to Sony Repair Centre. The phone had a relocked bootloader, no receipt, no charger and it has STILL been repaired!

I had the same flex problem so I sent it to sony with a relocked bootloader.
Just arrived today, fixed, working like new and I unlocked the bootloader again.
I must say the repair service was pretty fast.

My r800i's touch screen packed up after flashing it was ok for a while then it died, i tried other roms and kernels but no luck, probably incompatible software im not sure.
Anyway i flashed a stock rom but forgot to re-lock the bootloader then sent my phone to vodafone for repair, 2 weeks later i got it back with a letter stating that they could not repair it due to some tampering to the software.
I have since re-locked my bootloader with the link from this thread and then repaired my phone via seus,
I still have no response form my touchscreen though.:crying:
I have now sent my phone to sony for repair directly and I am just keeping my fingers crossed that vodafone did not contact sony about my fault when i previously sent it to them.
I will post the results in this thread
Why are you bumping old thread?

Ok my Bluetooth has broken nobody can help me fix it so i have to send it back.
Nox is tripped so going to get the phone back to stock, has anyone got any input for what i should do with the phone any tools i need to use?
Will flashing a stock rom do? Will that uninstall root fully and install default recovery ?
I understand nox is tripped for life.
Try kies This go to organ stock
Flash a stock tar file with Odin. Get the tars from the firmware section on SamMobile.
