Hey,
Does anyone know if there's some software for Windows Mobile to position the text cursor easily like in Android 2.2 (Froyo) or iOS, which means you click the text and some sort of cursor mover appears so you can place the cursor exactly where you want. I'm not looking for a keyboard app that has arrows buttons.
Thanks!

Does anybody know if there is a way to programmatically display and move a mouse cursor on PocketPC's?
I originally understood that the only supported cursor for PocketPC is the "wait" cursor, but it MUST be somehow possible as there are Bluetooth mice around that give you the desktop look and feel of a mouse cursor.
Just a hint where to look would be very much appreciated...
I have a Diamond with BsB6.5Q ROM.
Hi there, don't know if this is a ROM issue or a WM6.5 issue. I use the Compact QWERTY that is supplied in this ROM - I prefer to use the "phone keypad" style of keyboard. As I do 95% of my texts in the native Welsh language, I keep T9 switched off (there is no such feature in Welsh). However, when I write a text message in Welsh sometimes the spacebar won't work - it simply won't let me put a space there - I have to press 'enter' then 'backspace' to remove the restriction. This is not a screen sensitivity issue, because the 'shadow' appears above the spacebar to signify that it has been pressed. This problem doesn't arise when writing English texts, so I'm assuming that the problem occurs because the phone is trying to be clever and trying to predict that there shouldn't be a space after a certain letter.
I've looked through the settings and I can't find anything to switch this off. Any ideas?
Also, when writing, I would really like to be able to move the cursor backwards and forwards through the text, say if I want to correct an earlier error. Having to press the desired location with my finger is not good enough, because I need three or four attempts to get it right due to being the owner of a large thumb. I was then thinking about the Diamond's scroll wheel - this would be ideal for the job. Is there any way use that to scroll, i.e. anti-clockwise to move cursor to the left, clockwise to move right?
Thanks
Right, please ignore my last paragraph above - I completely forgot about the up/down/left/right buttons around the scroll wheel. The Left/Right buttons do exactly what I want.
Now, all I want is a fix for my keyboard problem (1st paragraph). It only happens for some words, and when it happens I cannot type any of the punctuation characters - I can only continue typing letters. Also when this happens the word (or most of it) is underlined. I don't understand why the word that's currently being typed would need to be underlined. It seems like parts of T9 is still on, even in ABC mode.
Any ideas?
Hi!
Is there a tool for the HD2 which allows to have a mouse cursor that works together with a browser (e.g. Opera)? Especially one that supports "mouse over" / "hover" effects on websites. Some Websites like mobile.de have picture galleries, which always shows the picture you're currently hovering your mousecursor over it's thumbnail. I don't realley care so much for the cursor itself. I'd just like to know if there is a possibility to raise this "mouse over" / "hover over" event with our phone...
Hello!
I have searched this and found little about it, so I'm gonna ask you about it.
I have LeeDroid HD running Android 2.3.3. I have 2 main issues regarding the sms app: the red dotted line that appears when using words not recognized by the phone (I write my messages in Romanian), and the fact that, when I tap a word in the message (say I typed a wrong character in the middle of it), instead of moving the cursor at that position and allowing me to edit freely, it moves it there, selects the entire word, and presents me options from an English dictionary to choose from as alternatives for the word. When I try to move the cursor back and forth, it navigates the suggestions, and the only way of getting out of them is to tap a white space, then navigating to the needed position with the arrow keys. All the options under Language and keyboard > Touch Input are unchecked (Spell correction, Prediction and Word completion). Am I doing anything wrong? Is it a way to bring back the behaviour of good old 2.2 sms app, or do I need to switch to a custom, less time consuming sms app?
Thank you!
Running 2.3 and it's great...except I REALLY liked the edit function of the 2.1 default input where you could drag the words to the right spot from a larger dialog box. Fat fingers make it tough to position the slider in 2.3. Anyone know if this is possible? Or if there is another keyboard that uses the same edit function?
Thanks.
