facebook login not saved

Does anyone here have an issue with the FACEBOOK LOGIN not saving using the FACEBOOK APPLICATION (not the one built into TF3D for the contacts)?
I start the program and put in my email address and password and click the SAVE LOGIN and it doesnt stay the next time you run the program. It was working fine the other day. I did check the registry and there is a key creted for my login and also the key for save login is set to "1" ...

Question about facebook contact integration

Sup y'all,
So I really enjoy having all my facebook contacts' profile pictures/birthdays sync with the contacts on my phone, but the problem I am having is that I have to go into each of my phone contacts and tell it which of my facebook friends to sync with. That kind of sucks, especially since I keep flashing my phone in order to try out new roms. Is it possible to have facebook automatically match up my phone contacts and facebook friends so I don't have to do it all manually? And if not, is it possible to somehow backup all the linked profiles so I don't have to redo it every time I flash a new rom? Lemme know thanks.

Every time I update my ROM.. during the first Facebook login, I'm given the option to sync ALL contacts that it matches with my Facebook Contacts..
(has to be pretty close on the name for it to match).
Try going to the ME contact entry, then sliding over to the Events tab (2nd from right, i believe), then make sure it's logged into facebook.
At the top, you might have a "Link Contacts" or something (going off of memory here). from that screen, it will show you the list of contacts that it has matched.
If you have names in your address book such as "Mom" .. that's not going to automatically match with Jane Doe on Facebook. Gonna have to update your local Contact name to Jane Doe, or the auto-match won't work.
Mine automatically matches about 20-30 of my contacts every time I re-ROM and login to facebook.

I have a question regarding this every time i flash a new rom i do not get this option, i have to manually go in and link everyone to facebook. When i click my contact card I don't even get the option to look at history or status updates on the sliders... I'm logged in on both the sense tab and the facebook in the internet file in the start menu but have never been prompted to sync contacts. I am using Energy rom dec. 13th 29005. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem was bored figured i'd ask as it gets tiring manually liking all contacts. any response is appreciated.

Match the contact name with the facebook name and it will automatically match it when you sign into facebook. That easy!!

Possible to backup with Titanium?

Here is an idea.. You have to match them all up one or another once.. then SYNC your phone with your computer using Active Sync/Windows Mobile Device Center... It then SAVES all your facebook contacts in with your other contacts so when you hard reset or update your rom, when you sync it up, your contacts are all back (including their facebook contact info)... I hope that helps

For People Having Problem With Facebook Contacts Pictures Sync etc [SOLUTION]

This worked for me; let’s hope it works for you...
Problem:
After a lot of messing around, my contacts appear to be synched with Facebook and are showing Facebook profile pictures and so forth. However, when I receive a text message from one of these contacts, their picture does not show next to the text message.
NOTE: This solution may fix other problems you are having with Facebook sync, what you have just read was my particular problem, so give it a go, might just work for your problem too.
Solution...
1. Go to Settings -> Accounts and Sync
2. Look under 'Manage Accounts' for any Facebook related accounts. If you see any, click on them, then click on 'Remove Account'. (Do this for all of them if there is more than one.)
3. Go back to the main 'Accounts and Sync' section where you have just been and click on 'Add account'.
4. Under INTEGRATED CONTACT ACCOUNTS (NOT more accounts) click on Facebook.
5. Enter your Facebook username and password as normal and click done.
6. Go back to the main 'Accounts and Sync' menu again, look for the new Facebook account you have just added on there and click on it.
7. Press the menu key on your phone, then click on sync now and wait till any spinning arrow logos you see stop spinning.
8. Go into your contacts and see if any have now linked with Facebook correctly (this will now be working for some people but for the majority it will not be... YET.... if not, continue with step 9.)
9. Click and hold on any of your contacts in your address book.
10. Click on join contact
11. If you see your contact with their Facebook pic next to them, click on them and they will now be successfully joined!.... If you don’t see them, you have two choices...
A) Re-edit their name in your contacts to match exactly how they have their name on Facebook. So if your friend is called 'John Doe' on Facebook but you have him as J Doe or something in your contacts, change it to match Facebook!)
OR
B)After step 10, click on 'Get Friends' and scroll until you see the contact you are trying to join, tick the box next to them, click save, then click on their picture which should now be showing under 'Suggested friends'.
Long winded - Yes
Time consuming - Yes
A soultion - Yes.
Let me know how you get on everyone...

I also do this and this works but the next issue I face is if I use a WIPE rom, how can I restore a back up of my contacts that already has the joined information ?

^^ Good question, same problem I have.

Without being some kind of genius with the SGS, I cant see how this can be done easliy to be honest.
Thing is, if your backed up contacts have the EXACT names as your facebook contacts, then when you load them back into your phone after a wipe install and sync (step 7 in guide) it should join them all up automatically for you.
However, if it does not I'm pretty sure it's due to an issue with the Facebook App because before the latest update they always used to join up automatically but not with everyone now.

I am experiencing the same problem, but with Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ICS 4.0.4.
I tried the steps described on this post, but It didn't work.
(My facebook contacts doesn't show at People App at all)
I also tried re-installing and re-adding my facebook account, but It didn't work.
BTW, where is "INTEGRATED CONTACT ACCOUNTS" settings?
Please, Does someone have any clue on how to fix it?

How do I sync my facebook contacts with phone contacts so I can get there pictures and stuff on my address book I've tryed to go to settings accounts and all that sad there isn't no option there. Any help will greatly be appreciated thank you

If you go back to accounts and add your facebook account(via the add button at the bottom), it should sync the contacts as well. However, if you have manually added contacts, or are using google for contacts, you will have to link them with your facebook contacts.

I must be trying to link them wrong then cause im only linking contacts with other contacts. Can you give me detailed instruction on how to do this process

Sign out of the facebook app. (Assuming you downloaded it.) When you sign back in, and you see the tips page, do not click anything on the screen but click the back button on the phone and the sync settings show up.

Thanks I got the sync settings to come up. But it still did not sync them. When I first got the phone I recovered my contacts from google and it synced all my fb friends on my contacts which was way more contacts then what I had so I deleted all my contacts and recovered them again and now it wont sync them at all. Im running a unrooted atrix with webtop hdmi mod which launcher pro. Would that affect it. Also I tryed to pull up the social networking app for the phone and it wont even let ne log into facebook thank you

sync facebook contacts to atrix
Menu>settings>account
1.add and log in to your facebook account
2.click the menu button on the account screen and click "picturesource"
(This will allow facebook to sync your friends facebook picture to there contact profile in your phonebook)
3.to make sure your contact has the right picture edit the contact by>removing the picture> submit the same name they have on facebook and> hit the menu button and link the contact to the matching facebook profile
4. Yes it is a long manuel process or you can try to use a app called
"Syncmypix" in the market

I know for a fact that Google has disabled this feature with their new gingerbread OS... I wonder if a hack can be made

Motoblur has a facebook syncing option which I use.

Htc Sense broken Facebook Birthdays Solved!!! now fixxed all roms

complete fix , has nothing to do with people app just follow these steps for a fix. Go to date n time and change to manual change time zone +whatever u are example I was minus 4 I went to Moscow +4 then edit your date and time and unsync friend caster and hit thanks
ok so i am tired of all these people saying that Facebook for htc sense is broken when it is not it is in fact the people app, the calendar evens are correct because the info is syncing correctly. the Birthdays are a day early because the contacts ( People ) app is broken the only working version is the one found in vael pak or some stock roms, now you want me to prove my self where just download go contacts ex and you will see the correct birthday. now here is a fix for all you people who want everything to sync correctly, all you have to do is download;
Read all steps first and understand what you are doing
download Facebook for android.
download go contacts ex
open go contacts and back up all contacts, then delete them all.
The above were only mentioned to save your old contacts and not double contact.
download friend sync
now download friend caster
now open face book and sync all or just contacts with numbers witch ever you would prefer
now open friend caster and sync all with existing contacts
open friend sync though accounts and sync and do the same( if you keep friend sync make sure you only sync once a day as its a very heavy sync)
now go into the stock contacts and make sure you have do duplicates if you do link them
back up all contacts with go contacts ex again make note of witch backup is witch, they are time stamped so figure it it out.
un-sync all the accounts we just synced and setup and you may keep and use them or not up to you, but you still have to un sync them now you may resync after all steps are completed if you like
Delete all contacts , make sure they are all deleted, and restore them and make sure you restore to your Google account with go contacts ex and the correct birthday will be there with some additional information and of course when your tango contacts will not sync to your fb contacts too, it just sucks because im on cyanogen mod so i cant test this but i know when you re-sync with htc sense face book its going to replace the corrected birthday wtf jackhole hope this helps and hope a dev or htc can take this info and fix there broken ass contacts remember its the contacts that's broken not htc senese facebook that works great

I just don't like the HTC Sense version of Facebook. FB sucks enough as it it without HTC having their hand in it adding bloatware.
