Is there a way to connect to it, via htc tattoo?
The options WPA-enterprise, Ttls, with no certificate needed.
I have to insert: username: X99999 (ex)
Password :XXXX
domain: medline.med.pt
How do i put that? i tryed wify helpper .. well nothing works?
A guy told me to replace the file: wpa_supplicant.conf which i think is at /etc/wifi/ but can also be found on the /system/bin i guess... which i need to replace?
this is the text to replace on that file:
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=0
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
network={
priority=2
ssid="e-U"
scan_ssid=1
# proto=WPA
key_mgmt=IEEE8021X
eap=TTLS
phase2="auth=PAP"
ca_cert="/root/FMUP-ROOT-CA.pem"
identity="[email protected]"
password="colocarpassword"
phase2="auth=PAP"
}
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I've connected do eduroam with no problem. Just turned on Wireless, and pressed at the eduroam spot.
Then just choose Set EAP Type to PEAP and Set Phase 2 Authentication to MSCHAP2.
Then just introduce you user and password.
Cheers

[Q] Ad hoc - how to insert a code

Ok, i finally found what could work in creating ad-hoc network with my notebook. I finally made a root with unrevoked and i don´t know what should i do next. I need to make this
"* Add your ad hoc network via Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings -> Add Wi-Fi network
* add the line "ap_scan=2" to /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
* add the line "mode=1" to your network's section in /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Your final result will look like this:
Code:
ctrl_interface=eth0
update_config=1
ap_scan=2
network={
ssid="Ad Hoc"
mode=1
scan_ssid=1
key_mgmt=NONE
priority=41"
How can i "add the lines" to my phone? I would really appreciate a step-by-step solution for the beginner. Could you help me with this? Thank you.
Take at look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961
Might help.
Thanks a lot, it finally works

[Q] MAC address change after flash

Hi all,
*
To my work, I can access to the WIFI by giving my MAC address. I gave my MAC address, and ok, I had access.
However, I flashed the rom CloudyG3 and following this, no access to WIFI... I've realized that my MAC address had changed (and I saw I 'wasn't alone in this case) ... So I did a new request for an access with the new MAC address, and it doesn't work ...
*
I used the application Wireless mac address change to replace the current MAC address with my old address and I regain access to the corporate network ...
*
So is there anyone could help me to find my old MAC address? I tried to reflash my phone, it does not change ... I tried to pass on the Rom OptimusG3, the MAC address remains on the new ...
*
Thank you in advance for your help
Mine does the same thing and I cannot get a answer on how to fix the wifi mac address change.
Flash with my Nandroid backup... unsuccessfully...

SFTP to Nexus Play

Hello Hello,
So am i am trying to FTP into my nexus player with no success.
1) download ssh server apk to NExus Player and set it up
- found ip address through network-->"my ssid"--> status info
2) via winscp typed in ip address from step 1 and port# from step 1 (when setting up the ssh server)
3) username: root password:abc123 (i found this from the firetv, but it could be the issue but i am not even getting an authentication error)
I just get a hang.. doesn't do anything, the connection times out. I Tried making a username and password via sshserver settings, but that didn't work either.
Am I using the wrong IP address? username? password? some help would be greatly appreciated ; >

Don't FTP, SCP/SFTP. Research what you are doing / trying to do better, it seems you are on very thin ice.
Use username and password from SSH Server settings.
Also, you don't need to manually install it with sideload, you can just go to https://play.google.com from a browser and then use install and choose Nexus Player. Of course logged into the same Google account as the NP.
Does anyone know how to get a remote shell on NP? Since SSH Server can't produce a shell on x86 devices.
Also remote adb doesn't work on latest firmware AFAIK.
Edit: Created a separate thread about remote shell - http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-player/help/remote-console-nexus-player-how-adb-ssh-t3000595
