In the official WM5 ROM from I-Mate the battery icon is shown on the title bar and clock is hidden beneath it. Is there a way to bring it down to systray and make the clock visible? Please help.
download Batti v2.1 from http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/batti.shtml and install it on your universal. In the settings for the app, uncheck "Show Battery Icon in Top Bar". That will display the clock in the top bar!
download Battery Watch v1.03 from http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/batterywatch.shtml and install it on your universal to get the battery icon on your systray!
They're both freeware, so, enjoy!!
I found the answer to the part of my question at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry about adding battery icon to systray and I would like similar procedure for its removal from title bar. Thanks for your help I will be certainly using your addon untill I get my desired answer. Thanks a lot once again.
I would recommend having Batti as a must-have application if you like battery stats! The rest is up to you of course, i always prefer moderate-functionality apps to messing with the registry myself! They're small, easier to handle, removable and just provide more functionality that reg-editting!!
I used Batti but it didn't removed battery icon. What happens is that when app installs it is already configured not to show battery icon but the icon shows so I enabled it just to give a try and as a result two icons were shown then I unchecked it and only the new icon went away. The original icon remained there. Registery hack is a must!!!
weird, now i'm wondering how i got rid of the battery icon I'll let you know if i figure that out
That's really very nice !!!!! Figure it out soon please !
Still awaiting response. Please somebody help me soon.
i know it's not appropriate to request such thing here, but i've been searching for something like this a while... a simple app showing the clock on the today screen without more crappy add-ons like HTC Home. Anyone... please?
Great idea
ill second this, wood be great to have it next to my bed as an alarm clock, a nice full screen simple digital clock
it wouldnt even need to worry about power usage because it would be on charge
i'm not referring to full screen. Just a Htc Home like clock but without tabs and fluffy useless content

Check out battery status. It is highly customizable. I am using pieces of the theme from the following link:

Like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344870 ?
not analog but a big digital clock. I'm testing Battery Status right now and it looks awesome but i want to disable all the other functions. Thanks for the help offered
good luck finding this, i've searched high and low and there is no plug in with just a nice big clock. tried battery status yesterday but it also has a bunch of stuff that comes along.
give this a shot http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-dr-puttingham-samsung-time.html
my device is VGA and that plug-in is too small for me
you can use rltoday.. if u want just a digital or analog clock.. it doesnt come with all the battery status stuff..
you can create your own skin or you can go to their forum and search for the desired skin...
edit: found these two skins

you can modify skin.xml to suit your needs..
the best solution for now is rltoday with a custom skin. Attached 'em, thank you all for the support

I'm of the same idea, I've made a simple skin that show a digital clock "identical" to the one of the HTC Home.
Sorry, but for now I can't post the code and a screenshot, you have to wait the next week...
Ah... I have a VGA screen, so my skin is perfect for you
i did the same thing with RLToday. I have the digital clock and the msg notifications, nothing else.
Anyone know if there is a font that looks like the Alien Round found in HTCHome Customizer?

Tried this? Much lighter than RLToday. You can customize size, font, style, alignment...

another CLOCK ....
SpoonWatch1.1
^^**^^**^^**^^
The SpoonWatch will present the date and time on your mobile device with big fonts,
easily readable during the night and all with zero clicks.
Features:
² Big and Clear fonts— for night use.
² Automatic popup after turning on the device (can be turned off)
This version will work on Windows Mobile 5 or 6 only.
enjoy .....
the best solution i found is AlDate. Extremely low memory footprint, totally customizable (font, size, date, time, sec...) It is posted in this thread
Hi guys !
First of all great work with this forum makes so much fun to tweak my hd2 leo.
i am using the original big clock among with weather animation but my city name Offenbach am Main is overlapping with the animated sun. is there any possibility to cut of the city name ? That onlye Offenbach is displayed ? Thank u very much in advance !
Ive just had a play with the name entries in eth registry. Sorry, looks like it pulls the name directly from the servers. As soon as you adjust the name in the registry it removes the location from the locations list.
ahh ****
it aint a big problem but it catches the eye ! seems i have to get used to it
thx
@samsamuel, how about the long detailed weather forecasts in text like "intermittent clouds, etc...." that comes with the original weather/clock display? they also got cut, would you know of any registry tweak that can remove it? i really don't need to know in text what is the weather forecast.

i dont know for certain, but i suspect that text comes from accuweather too.
Go to accuweather website, and look at the hour by hour forecast, and you should see the text matches perfectly.
Both these things are possibly something that could be edited, but not via the registry. I suspectthere is a manila file that handles it.,

Is it possible somehow to make nicer icon when I am puting some web favorites on my homescreen ? On Menu - Add shortcut -... To be specific, I am sick of standard facebook app that came with the phone and I want to use m.facebook.com instead, when I make shortcut to this page on my homepage I get some ugly icon with really small FB icon of frontpage. Can I somehow put there real facebook icon ? Or at least 1x1 photo of the page that I want to go with this shortcut ? So my goal is to have nice icon, like Facebook widget has but in a way that this icon is starting m.facebook.com page, not preinstalled FB app. Is it possible and how ?
Tnx a lot
you can use better cut to create custom icons. You can also find different icon packs by searching for icon packs in market.
Tnx a lot, the app is not bad but can I see somewhere how do those icons in icon pack look !? Because there are at least 100 of packs there and I dont know how do they look or even do they have Facebook app ? How can I put icon for gsmarena.com page when there isnt one in those packs ? Can you please explain me if you know how. Can I cut the photo in browser or something ?
Tnx a lot
you basically just have to download the pack, and once installed look through it. Then uninstall if you don't want it. A bit of a pain, but the only way to do it, that I know of anyway. You can also read the reviews and go by that. Some comments are helpful, giving a brief description of the icons sometimes. There is also an option when using better cut to use your own pic, I haven't tried this, but I suppose if you had your own pic of an icon, you could use that.
Ok, tnx a lot, I guess that I will have to try some packs then. But this UI on this app is fugly...
Currently, I'm using NRG's ROM, with MaxSense of course, and I love it.
However, I don't like the theme very much and think I could do better.
If you google search MaxSense UI theme v2 by Dena, you'll find kind of what I want, though he never released his theme.
I want the rounded notification widgets that lengthen when you get a message and are clickable, because the current notification widget works off and on as far as me being able to click on it to bring me to my sms.
Anyone have any cool suggestions?
PS: I attached a pic of the SMS notification thing I'm talking about
Regards
Smith
Bump... there has to be something out there
Help mah! hehe
